Can't say i taste sole traditional - Mexican food here. It is unique. We typically order fajita and carne asada plate. Bold flavor. Definitely can share plates as family sharing if want. I do like their drinks here! My favorite is michilada - beer, clamato and lime with tajin (pepper flakes) although I should try their mezcal. Service: friendly and quick service. Price: big plate makes up for its price. Drinks are on the pricier side. Great place for big gathering.

They say the salsa bar is for customers eating inside. So, I can eat inside, dirty a table you will have to clean, have as much salsa as I want (without the owners complaining) but if I order my food to go I am a second class citizen? This has been an issue at this place since DAY ONE. I remember in the beginning they had the salsa bar but didn't have any cups out. You had to ask for freaking cups to put your salsa in and the owner would give you ONE cup and it's the smallest cup he could give you. I love the food but I wish they would stop with this crazy rational.

Think of the most average strip-mall Mexican spot imaginable--now stop, because you've arrived. No…read moreneon sombreros, no mariachi murals, just a reliable lineup of tacos and enchiladas served with all the enthusiasm of a Tuesday afternoon. Comfortingly plain, pleasantly predictable. The system is simple: no servers, no guidance--just you, a counter, and a menu with more items than the Cheesecake Factory tried on a dare. Place your order, take your number, and prepare for the ceremonial calling of digits while you sit in chairs that are definitely not here for comfort. The chorizo burrito is huge, yes, but so is the mystery of when its ingredients last encountered a farm. Each bite tastes like it was compiled, not cooked--layer after layer of "good enough" wrapped lovingly in a tortilla that's doing most of the heavy lifting. The overall experience can best be described as "serviceable." You get food. You sit. Your number gets shouted. You consume a burrito of questionable freshness. You survive. It's a place where expectations come to rest comfortably low--and for better or worse, the restaurant meets them exactly. Cheers!

A 1 cent piece of foil and fresh seasonal corn would have gone a long way. The chorizo queso was also very tasty, but the delivery serving size was maybe 1/4 cup really too small. We ordered both chicken and carnitas chimichangas - and couldn't tell which was which because nothing was labeled. They might have been crunchy when made but when delivered they were lukewarm and soggy. And to top it off the tres leches cake came without the ordered toppings. Subject: Consistent early kitchen closures and poor service at Clayton location…read more Dear Lil Hombre Management and Mr. Howard, I am reaching out to bring a recurring and highly frustrating issue to your attention regarding the service at your Clayton location on Tuesday nights. Please note the door says you close at 11.. For the last three consecutive weeks, I have arrived at your establishment on Tuesday at 10:00 PM and was told it was already too late to order food. Attempting to accommodate this early cutoff, I arrived today (Tuesday) at 9:50 PM. Instead of being served, the bartender completely ignored my food request, only to eventually state that the bar itself would be closing at 10:00 PM. As a customer trying to support your business, being repeatedly turned away and intentionally ignored before your posted closing time is incredibly disappointing. If your kitchen or doors strictly close earlier than advertised, that should be clearly communicated--but ignoring a guest who arrives before closing is unacceptable. Is this a race thing? Or an anti LGTBQ thing? I can't figure out after tipping said employee for various weeks, now I can't be served food. I'll gladly stop trying to support a racist establishment. I wanted to bring this to your attention directly so that management can address this specific shift's staff behavior and clarify the restaurant's actual operating hours. I look forward to your response regarding how this will be handled. Sincerely, Phillip Jones
