What we ordered. Cheese and Sausage and Pepp.

I'm saying 3.5 to clarify. The place was very busy. Due to that, the selections were fresh. We ordered a cheese slice and sausage and pepp slice to try. My daughter said this was a guy from Brooklyn, NY, and was kind of hyped, so we made a point of going. It seemed like young kids, mid 20's and lower making the food. They warmed the slices that we chose. The flavor was there, but nothing to say it was exceptional. It is a good all around pizza, that I would get a pie from if I lived around there. It is not inexpensive. The ambiance is very informal and grab and go style of food. I would say, give it a try to pique your NY pizza curiousity. For me, it is a one and done. I'm a fan of Racine/Kenosha pizza. Value and quality is unmatched IMO. NY brags on themselves, with much hype. I'll take the quiet pizza that isn't hyped. Like the guy she said don't worry about. That is the Racine/Kenosha pizza. :p

My third visit to Sal's Pizza here in Cedarburg. I'm a regular customer of Sal's on Milwaukee's Upper East Side. Very good New York style pizza that you can buy by the slice. When you order a slice or two, make sure they keep it in the oven long enough to make sure that the crust has a crisp snap. The less skilled employee that took my order this evening, didn't leave my two slices in the oven long enough, and I had to ask to have them put back in. Sal's is an excellent place for a nice slice of NYC style pizza. Also the place has a cool fun vibe. Worth checking out for sure.

I was really excited about this spot because of the setup here is reminiscent of getting a slice of pizza in New York City. BUT for over $6 per slice I would say it's not worth it. The pizza itself was on the smaller side and all aspects (cheese, sauce, toppings) were very average. However, the garlic roll it came with was really delicious (it truly melted in your mouth) and the pizza was warmed up pretty fast. I would consider giving them another shot but only if I was in the area.

I was in Cedarburg for the day and I wanted a quick bite. Sal's Pizza was just up the street and I could not resist. I had a delicious slice and the customary garlic knot. It's always a positive experience at Sal's Pizza!

Stopped by Sals for a quick slice of pizza as we were walking around downtown. Overall the slice was nothing special, kind of too oily for my liking and the roll was pretty dry with an overwhelming garlic taste that didn't seem like fresh garlic. Service was quick and ambiance was of a small diner.

Me and my friends partook in a bloody Mary pub crawl this past Saturday. After hitting up a couple places a few of us stopped here to grab a slice and continue on the pub crawl. I decided to with a classic slice of cheese and waited for it to be heated up in the oven. I understand this is a pizza joint, but it was awfully warm in there and with having the door open it still didn't do that place any justice. I was presented with my slice and when I was told it was $7 I was taken back by it. I've had slightly bigger slices at Ian's and way cheaper! I didn't get into the cost because I was hungry, but the thought that two slices would've been $14 just had me in awe. I get we were in Cedarburg, but that price of the slice the juice was not worth the squeeze. I was hoping the taste and quality makes up for the cost. The quality was decent, nothing to really write home about. However, I did like the crispiness of the bottom of the crust and the crust has a good chew to it. Overall, it was an okay slice but the price and size of the slice it's not really worth it.

I definitely came at a bad time and only ordered a single slice of pizza, so I am rating this slightly easier with hopes that at a better time and ordering a whole fresh pizza it would be better. However it was expensive for a single slice and the pizza had absolutely no flavor and was super floppy. I am not going to lie it was a really bad piece of pizza, couldn't even get through one slice. I understand that pizza quality is will be worse with by the slice but the guy really should throw out the pizzas and make new ones at least every hour. This has been sitting out forever. I'll give my slice a 2.6/10 but I really hope I make it back out eventually to get a whole fresh pizza and rerate this. Also came with garlic bread which is pretty cool I guess but it was really burnt and awful haha

Great pizza! No Flop Guarantee! Grew up in Cedarburg and this is great pizza! If you're thinking about one type of pizza, ie - chicken bacon ranch - or another - pepperoni - this place is the place for you! Getting your za by the slice is honestly the best, especially for families or millennials. The service is always very friendly and kind. The setup makes you feel like you're in a pizza shop!

Best place to get a slice, awesome variety and good quality pizza. Plus they give you a garlic knot with every slice. Definitely coming back

Ordered delivery and they didn't confirm the address, which if not corrected, the pizza would have been delivered to our previous apartment that is 30 minutes away. I know this is could be on us, I think it's worth mentioning. The crust was disappointing. Very chewy and not much sourdough flavor. The cheese on the pepperoni pizza was lackluster. The quality of the pepperoni and marinara was excellent. We added buffalo chicken to their Mac and Cheese pizza and wow, was that good. They went above and beyond. They added shredded chicken and a Buffalo drizzle. The cannoli was disappointing but that's not why you order from them. I recommend a specialty pizza! Their ingredients are quality.

    Look at all that cheese!

The restaurant is very small, with limited bar seating and booths, and there's no real place to wait inside. Everyone waiting for a table ends up awkwardly standing close together near the entrance, which wasn't very comfortable. You have to check in at the bar, and unfortunately the bartender seemed visibly annoyed whenever groups tried to add their name to the waitlist. He rolled his eyes and came across as pretty grumpy, which was a rough first impression. I honestly considered leaving, but I was really craving pizza, so we stayed. Once we got a table, we had to go back up to the bar to place our order. We got cheesy garlic bread, a deep dish pizza with three toppings, and three sodas. The sodas were poured right away, and I carried them back to the table myself. About five minutes later, the garlic bread was ready, and I went back up to grab that too. When food is ready, they yell out your order and vaguely point in your direction while saying "front" or "back," which works but isn't exactly organized. One positive surprise was the deep dish pizza. It came out much faster than expected. Most deep dish places take 45-60 minutes, but this one was ready pretty quickly. The food itself was very good and definitely the highlight of the experience. When we finished eating, I went up to get a to-go box and pay. That's when I noticed sodas are not free refills, though they're priced at $1.25 each. We ended up paying for six sodas total (three originals plus refills), which honestly wasn't bad and came out to about the same (or even less) than unlimited soda elsewhere. Still, it would've been nice to know ahead of time. I was also unsure about the tipping situation since we did all the running around ourselves: ordering, picking up food, carrying drinks, and paying. I left a 10% tip, but it felt a bit unclear what's expected in this setup. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, especially the pizza. The experience was just dampened by the lack of a waiting area and the initially grumpy bartender (though he did seem to lighten up as the night went on). I'd come back for the food, but I hope the service and organization improve.

Google Maps brought us to what looked like a farm driveway with corn growing on both sides. There aren't many signs, just an old wagon decorated with Christmas lights. It's almost as if they want to keep the place hidden from the traffic on Pleasant View Drive. Food: The menu focuses primarily on wood-fired pizza, with additional offerings including appetizers, sandwiches, and sausages. They also have a large selection of beers, including several brewed on-site. We ordered the Milwaukee Pizza (cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onions), and I also got the Washington County Smashburger. To drink, I had a margarita, and she ordered the Big Buck Bock. Our food arrived quickly, and everything was amazingly good. The pizza was hot, well seasoned, and generously topped. There was so much mozzarella that the other toppings were practically swimming in it. The smashburger was also excellent. The patty was cooked through with beautifully crispy edges. The pickles were crisp with just the right amount of kick. The crinkle fries were plentiful and well cooked, although they were just a touch too salty for my taste. Service: We received great service from the moment we walked in. You can either order from your table or at the counter. Since it was our first visit, we chose the counter. A staff member greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. Even though it was near closing time, they encouraged us to place our order and then relax, letting us know they would still be around for another hour after closing. Our food was brought out promptly, several people checked on us throughout the meal, and they even proactively brought us takeout containers. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful, making for a very relaxing dining experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is set on an old farmstead. They've done a wonderful job converting several of the buildings and outdoor spaces into a welcoming destination. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, along with a newer food hall that feels open, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It's also a very family-friendly place, with outdoor areas where kids can play while everyone else relaxes. Even the restrooms were modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll be bringing more of the family with us.
