Another Wisconsin Casey's location that doesn't serve their famous pizza. Only cold food at this location.

Great ratio of toppings as well with a lot of fun slice combinations like mac and cheese and bbq chicken. We personalized a pizza with pepperoni, ricotta, and hot honey. I was disappointed in the lack of flavor with this pizza. I'm not sure if there just wasn't enough hot honey or just lack of flavor with the sauce, but I would probably opt for a different topping combination next time. The restaurant itself is very small and lowkey. You can watch all of the pizzas being made behind the case. Our pizza took about 30 minutes to make which I felt was very reasonable considering they had a line out the door. Overall, the pizza is really good and I will continue to come back, but will continue to try other topping combinations!

This was honestly one of the harder reviews to write because the experience felt split right down…read morethe middle. The pizza was probably 4-star quality, while everything surrounding it was closer to 0. Sal's definitely has that classic New York-style pizza joint feel. Walk up, order at the counter, and grab a seat. Unfortunately, what should have felt energetic instead felt like complete chaos. Right away, there was no clear order or flow to anything. There weren't any menus posted, so we had to pull them up on our phones. They offer pizza by the slice, but we decided to order whole pies for dine-in. The restaurant had several younger employees working, which is perfectly fine. Im all for hiring young help. But there still has to be a baseline level of organization and competence to keep a restaurant functioning smoothly. Unfortunately, it genuinely felt like nobody knew what was going on. After ordering two pizzas, we sat down and waited. The atmosphere quickly became overwhelming. It was extremely loud, people were running around, others were standing randomly waiting for food, and there didn't seem to be any system in place. The entire restaurant felt disorganized. We were told about 15-20 minutes for our pizzas. After about 40 minutes, we checked on the order ourselves. That's when we learned one pizza had apparently been sitting finished for who knows how long, while the second had been made incorrectly. We were told 5-10 more minutes for the remake, which ultimately turned into about 25 additional minutes. What made matters worse was that they never rewarmed or remade the first pizza, leaving one of our pies lukewarm by the time the second was done. The dining room also seemed completely unattended. Tables were dirty, garbage cans were nearly overflowing, and most of the seasoning shakers were empty. Now, onto the pizza. Because this is where things completely changed. We tried the gluten-free spinach feta pizza. As expected, the gluten-free crust was a bit tough, but the toppings were generous, fresh, and very flavorful. We also ordered the Goodfella on regular crust, and this was the real standout. The crust was phenomenal. Thin, crispy, and airy, exactly what you hope for from a New York-style pie. Topping ratio was balanced, and there was a good amount of sauce, though the sauce itself could have used a bit more depth of flavor. Overall, this is a place with really good pizza trapped inside a frustrating dining experience. Despite the poor service and chaotic atmosphere, I'd honestly still come back... but probably for takeout instead of dine-in.

You know I love a good hidden gem…read more Old Germantown is just that. We were in the general area-ish doing some shopping and wanted to get some pizza for takeout some place closeby to enjoy at home while watching the Olympics (because it's in Italy--so pizza seemed like just the thing). A search on Yelp brought up this place as somewhat closeby. It was after dark when we went in search of it. We drove down a rural road past what appeared to be a driveway that led to a farm. This can't be it. We tried again. Navigation brought us to the same driveway. My husband was ready to give up. I decided to call the business. A kindly gentleman answered and said--yep! It will look like you're driving to a farm but we're here! As we got closer to the end of the drive we saw a bustling parking area. While it might be hard to find--the people have found it. And, so did we. We entered to find beer hall vibes with tons of communal seating. We asked if we could order to go which they were more than willing to accommodate. We found a couple bar stools at their bar, ordered our salads and pizza, and then enjoyed a couple of stout beers while we waited. The beers, salad, and the pizza straight from their wood fired pizza oven were all fantastic. We got one of their specialty pizzas which was a white pie that comes with ricotta (as well as mozz) mushrooms, and basil on a crust that has just the right amount of chewiness and char. Lovely! The folks working here were above-and-beyond friendly. And, one told us that they have a large outdoor patio during pleasant months. We will definitely be back during the pleasant months. And, let's be real--during the less than pleasant months as well. Get to it!

Upon driving in there is a building for the restaurant along with nice outdoor seating, and area for kids to play! We went in mid May on a sunny but cool evening. The kids loved having the sand area and toys to play with while waiting for dinner to arrive. They have a good menu, but there seemed to be a decent amount of items unavailable especially the sausages my friends wanted to try. We ended up with the spring pizza, sassy pig, a plain cheese, and then a three combo of sausages. I thought the pizza was all good, not the best I've ever had but solid. The spring pizza was my favorite. The sassy pig was very unique but good! Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the sausages but others in my group liked them. We upgraded that to include fries and there was only a very small amount. We will definitely be back, seems like a great spot for groups!

We always get one thin crust and one thick crust. Their thick crust is unlike any other I've had (outside of the restaurants previously associated with MPC), and it is so good. The thin crust is also great, not so thin that it tastes like cardboard or falls apart: it's perfect. Over the years we've also had a variety of apps and salads, and never been disappointed. Many in my family are also very big beer drinkers, and they're always happy with the selection of craft beers. The space doesn't do much in the way of ambiance but it doesn't need to with pizza this good. Just make sure to get their early or head in late so you don't have too long of a wait

Date of visit: October 19, 2024…read more This is a favorite of our friends and neighbors, but I believe I have only ever been here one time before this visit. But given the state of the parking lot and the steady stream of customers on this Sweetest Day evening, this is a favorite of a lot of folks! The ordering setup is a bit odd, after getting a table you order at the bar and they bring the food out to you. You fetch water and beverages from the bar as well as to go containers. Despite the oddness of ordering, the food is quite good. I really liked the cheese bread, though my husband thought it was overcooked (he says that about a lot of things). We also went with the deep dish pizza and while it was good overall, the crust was lacking in any flavor. I hate letting any food (especially bread products!) go to waste and went looking for excess sauce to jazz it up a bit. I think a little garlic and butter brushed on the crust as the pie is finishing its time in the oven would be the chef's kiss!

My wife got the Cheese Ravioli which was ravioli pockets stuffed with ricotta, romano and parmesan cheese, served in our homemade pasta sauce, topped with shredded parmesan cheese. We then took dessert home we got one Cannoli and one Spumoni Bomb which is a scoop of Spumoni ice creme with a chocolate shell. It was also very delicious!
