I have to give a one star because Sal's has closed for business. I don't know what happened but they will be missed by me.

I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!

We had to find street parking because there was nowhere to park. We ordered burgers, fries, a small soda, a medium malt, and a slice of sugar cream pie. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The way they do things is a little different. They put a tray right in front of you and prepare your order as you watch. Very efficient! An interesting thing to note is that the small soda is the smallest soda cup I've ever seen. It holds around 6 ounces, so I recommend ordering the large because it's only 30 cents more. My cheeseburger was under $4 for 1/4 lb, so very reasonably priced. I selected my toppings (tartar sauce, onions, lettuce, and pickles), and my hubby got a double cheeseburger with bacon and added miracle whip, lettuce, onions, and tomato. Another interesting thing is that they use miracle whip instead of mayo. They also use butter lettuce, which I've never seen on fast food burgers. It was a nice touch. Our burgers were really good, but my hubby wouldn't get miracle whip again because it has an overpowering flavor. The fries were good, though a bit dry. The malt was like a chocolate Wendy's frosty, but so much better! It was really busy the whole time we were there, including a nonstop drive thru line that went into the street. Kewpee's is obviously very popular with the locals, and I can see why.

Pizza is the main focus of the menu but they do have a nice variety of other menu choices. They also have daily specials such as half price appetizers on Mondays and $0.79 wings on Tuesdays. The bar seems to be staffed by only one person, but there might be more on busy days. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Pizza Lounge has a modern feel to it. It is bright and well lit. The stools are comfortable. The entire place is nice and clean. The food is also decent. Better than most larger hotels I have stayed at. The salads are large and don't skimp on the extras. Tuesday was a long and tiring day so I sat at the bar shortly after they opened. I ordered a Johnny Walker Black and 10 buffalo wings. They also offer their wings with BBQ, Hot BBQ, and a Honey Mustard flavor. The wings are plump, cooked well, and the sauce clings to wings. Mine were hot and tasty. The Johnny Walker was a nice addition for after the wings while I relaxed before heading back up to my room. It's nice to have someplace nice in the hotel to sit, relax, and have a good bite to eat. It beats going out, especially in this cold weather we are having right now. So, if you happen to be in the Lima, Ohio area and close to, or staying at the Howard Johnson's give The Pizza Lounge a try.

Just the most ridiculous experience that felt like I was in the twilight zone. 1st placed a mobile order to as there slogan goes "skip the line" and order online. App estimate was 6 minutes to prepare. Arrived 8-10 minutes to restaurant (after lobby hours) and proceeded to drive thru. After reaching the window and said, I'm here to pick up my Mobile order, I was asked what my name is. They said they had no such order. I said, let me give you the order number that is right here on the app. They said that did not matter if my name wasn't on the screen they weren't making the order, and sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes for it to show up. Really? So I showed them that I had paid for the food via the app, my US Bank statement showing that it was paid, but this was not good enough. So I said, I guess we'll circle back around and try again. She said yes cause we're not making it until it's on the screen"my manager said so". so we pulled away and went to speedway just down the street to kill a few minutes as we pulled into Speedway I got notification my order was ready. This is three minutes after I was just there. Really? So headed back now. They're five cars in line and an additional 10 to 15 minutes passes before. I finally reached the window only to be told we handed your food out to somebody else we need to make it again right now. NOT ONE APOLOGY, can we get you drink, a my bad, or anything. I would NEVER visit this place at night. Maybe it's better during the day???, but given my experience, I find it hard to believe it could be.

The home fries are the standout, perfectly seasoned with that elusive, golden-crisp exterior and a fluffy, tender center.
