This review is for eyebrow threading. When I moved from Boston (land of eyebrow threading on every corner by foot) to Ann Arbor, I had to do some research to find a new eyebrow place. Luckily, Yelp came through and pointed me straight to Saloni. Saloni is hands down the best eyebrow threader I've ever been to, and I've been to many. She is skilled, thorough, listens to what I want, brings out the inner beauty. She exudes warm, healing energy. Appointments are super easy via text. She is now in a new office space that she has lovingly decorated with bright colors and a lovely waiting space (I wasn't there long, as she does not keep people waiting). read more

A bit pricey for a Brazilian sugar wax (sugar paste + wax strips), and Saloni used a cutlery knife to spread the sugar in the sensitive bits, making it very uncomfortable. read more

I moved back recently to the area and found Saloni's salon online and went for the first time. Her studio is beautiful, clean, and vibrant. She is extremely professional and thoughtful with her work and recommendations. I'm so glad I found this spot and can't wait to keep coming for years to come! read more

I was quoted $20 for eyebrows and upper lips threading. Saloni's reasoning was that threading is not common in Ann Arbor and therefore the price was justified. Threading is pretty common in 2022. I am from California where I used to pay $13 for both, cost of living obviously being much higher there. Try Hemali's Touch in Canton instead who did both for $10! There are also good Indian restaurants around so you can make a lunch trip out of it. read more

Saloni hands down provides the greatest customer service in all of Ann Arbor! She's always incredibly welcoming and does a great job with eyebrow threading every time I visit! read more

After reading a bunch of reviews, I decided to trust Saloni with my eyebrows and I was not disappointed. Over the past year, I have been traveling a lot and haven't found anyone that I have trusted to thread my eyebrows. They were definitely in need when I met with Saloni, and needed to be cleaned up. She did a great job, cleaned them up and I didn't feel much pain! The prices are extremely reasonable, I will definitely be back! read more

This woman did an awful job on my eyebrows! She didn't even ask how I wanted them done just started going at them and then when it was over and they were butchered I asked if she could fix it and she said just tell her next time how I want it done... very rushed and bad customer service. I'll never be going here again. read more

I first went to Saloni last May right before graduation with my best friend. I had never tried threading my eyebrows before and wanted to look nice for our big day. Thanks to yelp and her great reviews, I decided to try out Saloni. Her salon is in her basement but it is cozy and professional. There is a nice waiting area with a couch and a few chairs with magazines for you to browse and usually some snacks. There is also a curtain that separates her work area and the waiting area. I've gone back to Saloni since the first time about 5 times and each time she has started on time and took her time on my eyebrows, but was still quick enough so I could keep going on my errands. She was very helpful and friendly when I told her it was my first time, and understands the idea of cleaning up eyebrows but wanting them to still be thick. Her prices are very very reasonable, by far the cheapest I've heard of around Ann Arbor, and even back home. She does accept credit cards, but I don't think you can add a tip on there, so I always try and pay cash. She also has a loyalty card that gives you a stamp for every $10 you spend and $10 off once you get the card full. I went today for another eyebrow threading and she managed to fit me in her very busy day, even though I was a late notice. I cannot praise Saloni enough for her magic with my eyebrows. Go here! You won't regret it. read more

Saloni is wonderful, as are her services! I cannot recommend her more highly! Since getting threaded I have received so many compliments on my eyebrows. For waxing, she makes her own wax at home using natural ingredients. Saloni is a great option for those who are sensitive (or simply want to avoid) all the unnatural ingredients in commercial wax. Her home business in her basement is conveniently located, super clean, well decorated, and makes you feel like home. read more

After living in Ann Arbor for two years, I've finally found my eyebrow threading place! I keep going back to Saloni's because of the service, price, and convenience. I love that I can easily schedule an appointment by texting her. She responds promptly, and she's very easy to communicate with. She works out of her home, which is conveniently located near Eisenhower and State. Going to her home was a little weird to me at first, but now I appreciate that it feels homey. She has a curtain that she uses to respect the privacy of her customers. She works quickly but carefully. I've never felt like she's rushed through my appointment. I'm always happy with her work, and I love that she charges only $12! She also offers a stamp card for frequent customers. I'd recommend Saloni's to anyone! You can't beat the price for the kind of service you get here. read more

Very nice facilities and seems like a very nice person. But I asked for thick eyebrows along with other requests and when shown the result they were very thin! There was nothing I could do but leave in peace. It will take me well over a year to grow back. Add to that: my eyebrows ended up mismatched in thickness! So, will have to correct for that everyday with pencil. I just don't think I could ever recommend. I suggest to bring in a couple of photos - I should have done that but figured my specific directions were enough. read more

As much as one can enjoy a waxing/ threading experience, then that is how much I enjoyed mine! Saloni was very nice and thoughtful during the appointment. She advised me on how to best grow out my eyebrows for the best look possible. The threading experience was very easy and fast. To those new like I was, it barely hurts (way less than waxing) and it feels to me, like velcro on your face? I also got my first ever bikini wax, and though I definitely can say that I didn't like it at all, she was very fast, gentle, and considerate. She had good tips on how to care for the area after wax. I'm going again tomorrow for some work pre-wedding, and I would highly recommend her to anyone! read more

I went to Saloni for the first time today and had a wonderful experience! You can tell she sincerely cares about great customer service because from the moment I made my appointment to the time my services ended, Saloni was always professional, courteous and very thoughtful (when she was running behind, she immediately texted me if we could move our appointment). I'm SO glad I found Saloni because I just moved to Ann Arbor and was worried about finding a place solid place that does eyebrow threading. I switched to threading from waxing and tweezing about 1 1/2 years ago and have never looked back since. I also know how difficult it is to find a consistently good but affordable eye brow threader so my experience today was definitely a pleasant surprise. Not only does she have high attention to detail, but the threading was quick, efficient, and painless! My past threading experiences have always stung a bit, but the end result was always worth it. Now I know it never has to sting - you just need to use authentic cotton string from India like Saloni does. Needless to say, I am going to be a repeat customer and cannot recommend her more! read more

Saloni is incredible! She is the only person I trust to thread my eyebrows. I first went to her after receiving a bad eyebrow threading at a different salon and she was more than willing to work with me to fix them. I am SO glad I went to Saloni because now my brows look better than ever! It is also very apparent that she sincerely cares about her customers and will do anything to make them feel at ease. I would highly recommend Saloni to anyone looking for a great eyebrow threading! read more

Great to find an eyebrow place in Ann Arbor! I've been looking for a while, and everything else seemed too expensive, elaborate, etc. (I'm not into fake lashes or tinting...) I just wanted someone to help clean up and shape. Saloni was great and she did a great job. Efficient, and prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back! read more

Because I have sparse brows to begin with, I was always hesitant about trying out eyebrow threading. Why remove hairs when you don't have much in the first place? I visited Saloni for a facial and, on a whim, added eyebrow threading due to all her good reviews. And I couldn't be happier that I tried out threading with Saloni. She knows exactly what she was doing, and the experience was quick with minimal pain. I was scared that she would remove more hair than what was "necessary," but she removed just the right amount of excess hairs so that my brows actually looked thicker afterwards (in a good way) and had a clean, defined shape. If you are ever in the area and want to try out eyebrow threading, give Saloni a visit! read more

Bottom line: If you need eyebrow threading in the Ann Arbor area, go see Saloni! I've been to several eyebrow threading salons, and Saloni is hands down the best. At other shops, it was so painful that my eyes would literally tear up. But with Saloni, it never hurt once, even when she threaded in sensitive areas. Being able to make a private appointment was very convenient vs. walking in at other shops and waiting 30+ minutes. Saloni really took her time, and made suggestions - something I wasn't use to, but very much appreciated! P.S. Get the loyalty card at the end and be sure to bring cash for a tip read more

I'm in town for the summer and am so happy I found a person I trust to thread my brows. She is very nice and professional and her establishment is very clean. Also, parking is really easy there's a big free parking lot. I will be back for sure! read more

I've been going to Saloni for almost 4 years now. I usually get waxing done. She is very efficient & does a bang up job. Never felt the need to go anywhere else. read more

Love Saloni!!!! I've been going to her for a little over a year! She's great and super nice! Her little office area is super cute and warm! I love that she's also fast! Eyebrows and upper lip takes around 10 minutes or so and the job is very well done. 100% 5 stars is completely right! I will miss her so much! read more

I have been going to Saloni for several years and find her services to be excellent. She is extremely professional, willing to accommodate scheduled, and prompt in her communication. I also appreciate that she uses sugar waxing, which is less painful. I'm looking forward to being able to go back once restrictions are eased due to COVID. read more

Good service and very professional. Will definitely go back here anytime I need eyebrow services in Ann Arbor

Must add to Saloni's already glowing reviews. As you can see, I don't ever write reviews. But Saloni is so good at what she does, and has been so good to me, that a review is warranted. I really needed a good threading place in Ann Arbor, and Saloni's is it. Do not go to Grateful Dreads. The woman who threads there just isn't as experienced, is slower, it's more painful, and she cuts your eyebrows and upper lip accidentally. Saloni uses authentic cotton thread from India. She doesn't use the cheap stuff. So her threading is PAINLESS. She also listens to what you want. She does my eyebrows exactly as I request them and when I ask for her suggestions, she always provides helpful advice. She tries very hard to accommodate her customers' busy schedules. She has a rewards program. Her prices are UNBEATABLE. I agree that it is great that she uses her own homemade soft wax/sugaring, but if you're going to get waxed down there, use hard wax. It is much less painful. I've been getting waxed down there for 10 years now and I hate that I didn't use hard wax all this time. Now, I'll never go back to soft wax. But this has nothing to do with Saloni. Just a tip for those who are new to getting waxed down there! read more

Saloni was so accommodating; I had only called from her parking area as we were leaving town to go back home. She invited us in right away to her beautiful, colorful and warm space. There was such a calming effect just being in her presence - and I was only there for eye brow threading! A tip for those who go for the first time: if you charge your services, there's not a line to add a tip!! So keep that in mind because you will want to tip for her expert services. We parted with a spontaneous hug - it was a peaceful ending to what was a stressful day. Thank you! read more

My first time getting a Brazilian and good lord this women was just amazing! She has her own natural wax! And she was just so gentle with me and tolerated all my questions. Such a sweet soul. Highly recommend! She has the gentle touch! read more

Saloni does a great job for a fair price. She's easy to get in with and walks you through everything she's doing if you're a newbie to threading like I was. I came to Saloni's for my first bikini wax and she was so professional and friendly. It wasn't that painful and she was so professional and calm throughout the whole experience. Can't find a better wax on a college budget in Ann Arbor :) read more

I can't say enough good things about Saloni. She is welcoming and warm, as is her home salon. Saloni's specialty is threading. She styles my brows every few weeks and she is simply incredible. I have tried waxing in the past, and threading is so much more precise and comfortable. Saloni enhances your natural beauty--you, only better. She will listen to exactly what you want and work with you to decide on your best look. She works very quickly and gives you the most beautiful arch and clean line--all that and she is very affordable. If I want to pamper myself I stay for a massage or facial--both are so relaxing and I come out looking and feeling refreshed and happy! Her scalp massage will transform you--if I didn't have crazy curly hair I would get her to do it every time she does my brows! read more

Saloni is warm & welcoming, an expert without a doubt! Will be coming back to her for my beauty needs.

SALONI is AMAZING. She made a highly probable painful experience into an experience that was bearable. I really am surprised by how she was able to lessen the amount of pain for a Brazilian wax by her methods. She was exceptionally knowledgable and professional during our interaction. I love her work and highly recommend her to anyone. read more

Saloni was my go to person for eyebrow threading while I lived in Ann Arbor. Extremely hygienic setup, virtually painless threading experience and she can fix even the unruliest of brows. By appointment only. read more

I stumbled across Saloni's website while researching places in Ann Arbor that offered sugaring instead of conventional waxing. Sugaring is way easier to clean up and it hurts a lot less than waxing. I decided to give her a try and was very impressed with the results. So much so that I have been back multiple times and will continue to go in the future. Saloni is the reason I won't go anywhere else. She is extremely warm and friendly and her home/salon space is simply lovely. Saloni is patient, does exactly what you ask for, charges reasonable prices, and is very responsive to emails. She's had to put up with a lot of questions from me! Not only does she have a great location, but she is also super flexible. I'm able to set up appointments after work and on weekends, which is really helpful. Saloni and I had a nice long chat about what customer service should be during my most recent appointment, and let me tell you, this lady understands customer service! Go visit Saloni, you won't regret it! read more
