I was so happy with the process that I returned a couple of weeks later for laser on another area, this time with Donna. She likewise wowed me with her knowledge, expertise, and welcoming demeanor. I purchased a Groupon for tattoo removal from Advanced Esthetics, I want to rate on a few things. Service, facility, and results. 1. Great great great service, I was immediately comfortable with the tech I met today, she was very easy to talk with and made me feel like I've seen her 100 times before. As I have mentioned in other reviews getting tattoo removal is very venerable since it's super painful and they are removing something you no longer like and in my case it's in a awkward area... I did not feel judged! A+ here 2. Facility was clean and modern, had a spa like atmosphere, however it's a little tricky to find since the Groupon said Ann Arbor tattoo removal I didn't realize they were the same place... it's literally right next to the urgent care FYI if you can't find it either. 3. I have been super impressed with the laser hair removal services I have received here. The pricing is super reasonable and all of the staff are so nice. Donna is extremely knowledgeable, great at answering questions and making sure you are comfortable with the process. After a year and a half of sessions, we've managed to remove nearly all of my facial hair. I started going to here for laser hair removal because of a Groupon. Now I have to admit that I am a big fan. Although I have never used their other services as I have to admit there are a large variety. In addition to the variety of services they offer I also love the customer service they provide. All of the Esthetics Specialist's I met were friendly and willing to answer any questions. I personally worked with Donna for all 6 of my treatments and she always remembered to ask how everything went and if I had any problems. This constant follow-up was both and encouraging and comforting. Along with in-person customer service their scheduling is also super convenient. You can either call or create an online account and schedule it all out. The system they use for the online scheduling was a bit confusing at first (which is why I docked them 1 star) but after I got it all worked out I was able to schedule everything and than put reminders in my Google Calendar. Even though I scheduled online I was sent a confirmation e-mail and called on the phone to make sure I did not miss my appointment. This is helpful since you end up scheduling appointments 6 weeks in advance. Plus, even though I was late twice they never were mean or judgmental about my tardiness. Lastly, Advance Esthetics has beverages and candies for patrons. I have only had one treatment so far, but everything here seems pretty good. They have a fantastic Groupon deal, and you can get more discounts on other treatments that you buy during the time you're using the Groupon, which is great. It's super easy to make appointments online. Donna is really nice and comforting (about the pain and what not), but she is also straightforward and won't sugarcoat when she's telling you what's about to happen. The laser they have is your best option, as far as I can tell. I have never been treated with any other kind of laser, but I can see how this one is relatively painless. It definitely hurts to an extent, but it's also undoubtedly bearable, and I have a low tolerance for pain. I didn't exactly enjoy it, but I'm not dreading my next appointment (actually I wish it could be sooner, but that's just how it works). read more

My laser hair removal experience at Advanced Esthetics was easy, fast, and painless :) I have previously tried laser hair removal at a different facility out of town and could only complete 3 out of 6 treatments because they were so painful. Years later I decided to muster up courage to try again because I am so tired of shaving! Advanced Esthetics uses a different laser than I've had before. It completely numbs you because of the cool/cold plating it has. So once you are numb, they will zap the laser so you don't feel anything! I highly recommend this for anyone with low tolerance pain or just fears about laser hair removal in general. Convenient online scheduling. Excellent customer service. Timely service. (I've never waited more than 3 minutes beyond my appointed time.) I've been going here for about two years for laser hair removal. I started with a Groupon for chin and upper lip and have continued with a laser leg hair removal (knee down). I have dark black coarse hair. This was my second experience with laser hair removal. The first was at a large salon. I'm sad to say, that hair grew back at the same thickness within six months. In comparison, my experience at Advanced Eshetics has been excellent. The treatment is effective (not very much regrowth and what has grown back is significantly lighter). But really where they shine is with customer service. Donna (the owner) is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and clear about results. She'll be honest with you about what you can or cannot expect. She is also really passionate about what she does and making sure that her staff operates with integrity. The up-selling, offered as "suggestions" for products I might like, is not bad. And I have no idea if this is normal for the industry? Clearly Donna stands behind what she sells, sends me home with samples, etc. and NEVER makes me feel uncomfortable about my choosing not purchase an "extra." read more

I am a new customer to Advanced Esthetics. I bought a laser hair removal package for a small area. I was removing hair along the nape of my neck and I was very nervous to shave it off. I didn't know how to shape it right and it wasn't an area I could see very well. Magda was so helpful. She answered all my questions and helped me shave the area. I was so pleased by the results and by the friendliness of the staff, that the next time I went I decided to buy another package for another small area. I find it quite affordable. At this price, it makes more sense for me to get laser rather than wax hair removal. Their late hours also make it very convenient for me. I met Donna in August 2016 after purchasing a groupon for laser hair removal. She and her staff were very welcoming. I continued to go to her for approximately 6-months for hair removal with good results (minimal discomfort and no burns). She made sure to educate me on the process and frequently reminded me to contact her if I had any issues. In January 2017 I relocated to Richmond VA, and Donna was kind enough to help me find a place that used the same laser machine that she was using for my treatments. Unfortunately, although the machine was the same the service was not and I had some burns as a result. I was recently back in town and went back to Donna on August 11th 2017. She again took time to educate me on the machine she was using and I immediately felt at ease. She completed the treatment with minimal discomfort and no burns. I am prone to burns because of my darker skin tone but with Donna's expertise I've had great results with no burns. I'll be going back to see her when I'm back in town. I originally went to Advanced Esthetics for tattoo removal on a very small remaining amount of ink on my finger. I'd been to two other dermatologists/med spas about 3 years before with less than awesome results/experiences, so I walked in with no particular expectations. I wish I could remember the name of the technician who worked with me, because she was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and professional, but also relaxed and friendly which really made the procedure that much more comfortable. I had such a great experience that I scheduled appointments for laser hair removal and they were able to fit me in the next day. Those appointments were just as great as my first. Super relaxed and all my questions were answered easily. I've already referred my mother and sister and I hope they go. The office itself was clean and bright, parking lot had plenty of room. I'll be returning next month for another laser session and I plan to continue going to Advanced Aesthetic for other services in the future. read more
