During a leave of absence , I saw a different hairstylist (a level 2) stylist for a cut, and balayage. During the consult, the stylist seemed confident about being able to help me achieve what I wanted. Which was more than reasonable and should've been able to be achieved because frankly it was just like a caramel balayage, nothing crazy. I did not feel that my layers were adequately trimmed. They were not even and my hair felt rough ... my hair looked healthier before the haircut. The balayage technique was not actually even applied. The stylist performed a partial. I went in with level five hair and still came out with level five hair after being in foils for a couple of hours which never happens. I'm always able to get great results with lightning my hair. I left feeling extremely disappointed. When my husband came home, he automatically just said " oh, did you cancel your hair appointment? I thought you were going to the salon today?!" And I had to explain that I did, but he said it looks like nothing had been done. I did reach out a week later, a master stylist reached out to me to fix my hair. Ultimately in the end, I know that the stylist did all they could with what they had to work with to make it look decent. The "fix" was just as disappointing. I have literally spent my entire summer trying to get my hair to heal from this experience. And between the cut and color I spent a lot of my hard earned money to not enjoy the results or frankly the experience. This all happened a couple months ago back in June. I wasn't sure about writing a review, but after taking some time to think, I thought it would be best to let everyone know. Also, I'm not sure if they started using different hair color, but their toner washed out really quickly. Like after one wash. I've always enjoyed most of the stylists here, but if you're gonna spend the money here, really do your research on reviews and book accordingly.- I highly recommend Crystal! She's the best!

I explained.thatbto Michele and she said she had actually ordered a lighter pastel. Perfect. Let's do this! Michele did a dry cap blonde, toner and then the purple. Wash, cut, and oh boy, let's see how this went... The dry. As it dried, I realized it was dead on what I wanted. Barely noticeable purple. I mean you have to be looking to notice it. I love it. This was the slow break in for me I needed. Now I'll be braver in the future and maybe got for a slightly bolder color. She listened to me. Paid attention to details. First of all she is so sweet and kind. I tend to find going to stylists awkward at times and pressured to try to keep conversation going, not with Misty she is such a fun lady and it was easy to chat with her and have fun conversation. Second she is very knowledgeable and listens to your wants and will give you an honest opinion of what would look best and what kind of up keep would be required which is really great. I was looking for some simple balayage that didn't require a ton of maintenance and that is exactly what I got!
