If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I also want to preface that I never write Yelp…read morereviews, but after such a positive experience I just had too! Due to Covid-19, like many others I hadn't had a haircut in months and well, let's just say I resorted to box dye for my roots ... so my hair was somewhat of a catastrophe! Skip to the bottom if you want to just know the tidbits about the hair ‍ Once, we moved into phase 2 and salons were allowed to open, I contacted my normal stylist in Puyallup and she seemed a little irritated, intense, and not too enthusiastic about booking clients again. I took this as the universes way of telling me to finally look for a new hairdresser, since I moved to Tukwila 2 years ago it was in theory good timing to find someone closer to home. Apparently, getting an appointment to get your hair done in a pandemic is like finding a golden ticket in a Wonka bar. Needless to say, in the beginning of June I was able to make an appointment at the beginning of JULY at a salon (not MiaBella)! Y'all I did a lot of research bc I have curly, dark, damaged...hair. Thankfully, Yelp led me to a couple close by options! The day my appointment was supposed to happen at 3:30pm, the salon I had made an appointment at called to cancel less than 2-hours before I was suppose to arrive...doesn't matter why, but they didn't think they could get me in until the following week . I was bummed, but I am pretty sure it was for the BEST... I had originally, really wanted try MiaBella in Normandy Park/Burien area and they reached back out with availability after I had booked the other place. When my appointment got cancelled at the other place I seized the opportunity to try out MiaBella, they had great reviews and had recommended Leah! THIS WAS THE BEST OVERALL HAIR EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD SINCE MOVING TO WASHINGTON! First, when I called in a total panic Leah answered the phone! She was super nice, and knew it would be hard to fit me in but did her best... her only open availability for what I wanted was the end of July... but I knew it'd be worth it! She even asked me to send pictures of my hair and what I wanted! You could just tell from the first 5-minutes of the phone convo Leah was going to be awesome! When I showed up for my appointment, I was not disappointed either! Leah was super friendly, it's a family owned salon Leah's mom was super kind as well and it was a totally welcoming environment! The salon was really nice, clean, and COVID-19 safety protocols were in full effect. Now for the important bits... I of course was like, "I need a change, I want to go lighter" Leah gave me great advice, and the best recommendation for MY hair considering the damage a la box dye! Many, stylists will fry your hair further, or not tell you realistic expectations...and at the end you are disappointed. Not here! Leah, was honest about what we could achieve and talked through a plan with me to try and combat my grays. Also, Leah should get 10-stars just for listening to me talk about my dog for 2-hours, and treating me like I actually mattered as a client BUT ALSO Y'ALL my hair came out so PRETTY! My hair felt healthier, looked shinier, and was so soft! Leah was attentive, her customer service was on-point, her hair skills were outstanding, and honestly the pricing was great! I can't wait to get my hair done at MiaBella again!

The worst coloring experience I've ever had. A month ago, I had an appointment in this salon. I've…read morebeen using the same brand for coloring my hair for more than 9 years. I used to do my hair in another salon in Tacoma. But my colorist went on vacation and her substitute didn't seem to get what I wanted. So, I decided to try another salon. To begin with I asked for a color chart to show exactly what I want. The colorist Sarah (the owner) said that she is "not comfortable" with showing me the color chart. It was surprising for me, but I managed to find a picture of me with the color I wanted on my hair. Then I asked which developer she was going to use. That was very important for me to discuss because there were previous unfortunate cases when colorists used the wrong developer, and I ended up with the "hot roots" and didn't have time to fix that. The colorist was very reluctant to discuss that as well. Then I asked her about the formula she was going to make and again got the same answer that she is "not comfortable" with telling me that. It was so weird! I used to discuss my options with the colorists and know exactly what was being put on my hair. Nobody ever had any issues with that. But I decided to agree with that as well because I really needed to do my hair, and I'd waited for that appointment 2 weeks and I had to pay a nanny to stay with my kid while I was on that appointment. I didn't want to waste that time and money for nothing. In a couple minutes another colorist came to me and said that they were not going to do my hair because they were again "not comfortable" with that. That was unbelievable! It really pissed me off! I demanded an explanation about what was really going on! After some hesitation they told me that they decided that I was a competitor, that I most likely had a license and that I would probably steal their professional secrets! Because I was asking too many questions! I wonder how I was supposed to steal anything if I agreed to not knowing the formula that they were going to use?! That was so outrageous and ridiculous! At the end they threatened me to call police if I didn't leave the salon. Ladies, if you are so afraid of competitors that allow yourself to treat your clients like this, I can assure you that you'll be out of business very soon!

We checked with a couple local places that just shook their heads and said no. That's where the wow comes in! Tre Sorelle Salon offered to try. No less than 5 stylists worked together for 6 hours pulling it out strand by strand! It was tedious and a painstaking, but they refused to give up. Well, that obstacle couldn't stop Heather to do an amazing job She listens to what I want, knows instantly what to do balancing my dream haircut vs the reality of my hair and delivers the perfect outcome :) I wanted some bangs to cover the extra fat on my face I've been gaining since the pandemic LOL. My hair is genetically very thin, so I'm glad Heather told me NO it wasn't a good idea and gave me a lot of nicely framing layers instead. Pricing are standard, and the salon is very clean, follows all CDC guidelines and hey, if you like DIY crafts, she made a few cute pieces there that for sure would capture your attention :) Pictures are my 2nd time seeing her for the balayage, 2 months after my initial hair cut.

So I booked an appointment with Ashley. From the recent reviews she's the go to girl! So I get to my appointment & open the door it's a spacious salon with awesome products for your hair, friendly staff & they help you right away! After my experience with Ashley all I have to say is : This is my forever go to Salon, it's so hard nowadays to find " the one hair stylist " that's friendly, knows EXCATLY what you want & executes your vision. I've paid from expensive to cheap for a easy hair cut no one ever did right, until I met the amazing Ashley ! Ashley has this huge mirror she puts you in front of so you can see why she's going to cut your hair a certain way to get what you WANT, she completely did that. You can really see she cares about her customers with the way she treats you , talks to you & puts in the hard work with your hair, if you don't feel satisfied she will ask you and see what she can do too make it better, she even told me after my haircut if I feel like something I don't like I can come back and she will take care of it, she wants me to feel absolutely happy. But I was so satisfied with her work. Finally someone cut my hair short and it didn't make me look crazy! I felt cute and my hair was so soft and easy to manage. I will definitely be coming back to Ashley! I got the blow out and haircut for a good price $55 that's cause I included a $5 tip. It is worth every single cent. If you need an awesome stylist who will give you want you want with quality and takes their time , please give this place a try! Especially with Ashley no regrets at all!

When I went in to get a cut from Trizzie, she pointed out how the color wasn't working for me (it was actually making me look older). Too honest for me? No. You should want exactly that kind of honesty out of the person doing your hair. She won't pressure you or do anything you haven't asked her to, but she will point out if you are making a mistake with your hair, instead of just doing what you ask silently, even if it doesn't work for you. Not to mention she is a ball of energy who makes the whole experience fun. I went back in to her to get my color brought back closer to my natural color, and also let her do my brows (which I have never let anyone touch before), and I left her salon looking 10 years younger.
