I went to Trizzie years ago because my friend needed a haircut and I thought I'd get one, too. I was impressed and enjoyed my haircut, but I didn't go back until recently. I preferred to cut my own hair. It was easier back then because I wore it long. Well then, I cut my hair short in solidarity with women in Iran. I am committed to keeping it short but I'm in law school now and I want to look more professional. I went straight back to Trizzie. I didn't have to worry about telling her ALL the details of my hair. I just trusted her to fix it. I told her I didn't want to spend much time on it. I pointed out that my hair is wavy and it's very troubling for me in the morning! She definitely listened!! She pointed out the different ways my hair twists (I think this is a cowlick lol). She took her time cutting my hair and chatted with me a little about her recent location change (my gps initially took me to her old location). I enjoyed hearing her talk. I mostly complained about my hair. She recommended that I use leave in conditioner so it stays the way I want it. I felt good when I left but I was worried that I was just mesmerized by all the decorations in her shop. I was a little worried when I went home- (I've had some baaad haircuts from stylists) I'm happy to report that when I followed my usual routine and added the leave in conditioner, my hair looked great!! Got my hair cut by the owner, and she's not only very friendly, but she did an excellent job with my hair! I had a poorly done haircut a month ago & she made it look so much better to work with. Stylist was kind but did not follow directions. Asked for her to keep the same length but with a trim to get rid of the dead ends, we left with shorter, almost a mullet hair. It is a unfortunate experience and situation to be in since she ended up doing what she thought was best. read more

At first I was excited to try this business out. There were great reviews and I am always wanting to find new small businesses to support. My appointment was very odd. Trizzie talked nonstop, which wouldn't have been a problem if she could work and talk at the same time. There were many moments where I was sitting there waiting for her to finish my hair while she went on and on talking about herself. It was not a dialogue. It was as if I bought a ticket to a one woman show and was subjected to listen to her monologue. This didn't turn me off though. She then went on a whole rant about how much she hates Biden. I had to listen to her say "fuck Biden" multiple times and then sing the praises of Trump endlessly. It was clear from her reasons that she is a Trumper for the wrong reasons. When I politely questioned her, she told me that I don't know what I'm talking about because I don't own and understand business. Little does she know that I run and manage my own business. All of that aside, there is absolutely zero reasons to discuss politics in this setting. She was incredibly unprofessional. Yet, I still was not upset enough to dismiss her. What sent me over the edge was the horrible job she did on my hair. I was worried she had messed up because of how much she talked and didn't seem to be paying attention, but I had no idea how badly. My mother just passed away and I wanted a trim before her funeral. I came to Trizzy and asked for a simple, straight across trim. She did a snip here and a snip there and was done in a few minutes, as she talked excessively. My hair has a slight curl to it so I couldn't tell what kind of job she had done until the day of the funeral. I straightened it to be pin straight and it became obvious quite quickly, how uneven my hair was. This was a funeral of over 300 people, with me sitting in front and being on stage with jagged hair. My one friend had to come snip some pieces off with some random scissors we found in the church, in the moment. The pieces she cut were at least 1 to 2 inches longer than the rest. And even after that, you could still see the unevenness. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Trizzie. Not because of her unprofessionalism, blatant rudeness, or her ignorance about politics, but because she didn't even do the job I promised her for an extremely important moment in my life. I do NOT recommend spending your money here if you have quality standards and expect a professional experience. read more

Trizzie was very friendly and welcoming and has fair prices. He's stationed in downtown Seattle but said he'd be coming back here next time he needs a haircut. read more

She is the cowlick tamer! My sons hair grows about 5 different directions and she was able to get it tamed and looking spiffy! We did not have an appointment so we didn't mind waiting. She works very fast, which is perfect for restless toddlers and moody teens. The salon has lots of plants, and Knick knacks to look at while you wait. There is street parking on Meeker as well as parking behind the salon. We will definitely be back! read more

My coworker recommended this place and was way overdue for a haircut. I've been putting it off because I've been busy and it wasn't a priority for me. I upbeat didn't even look at my hair to see how it looked in the back. I just know it for way, way too long. Trizzie is very easy to talk to and takes her time cutting your hair. She's ghost without being pushy and she educated me about the health of my hair and gently mentioned that the length is the reason for my hair loss. I thought it was just stress... It makes sense and someone else told me once that if your hair is too long and heavy/ thick, you'll have more hair loss. I didn't want to hear it then but I'm all ears now. She reassured me that she's make it look good and she had to fix the hot mess of a haircut that the last person have me. That plus four or more months of growth. No one answers the phone number listed on yelp. Instead, it goes to a voicemail where she gives you a different number to call that took me 2-3 times to understand. No one answers that phone either. And yes I did call during the open hours listed. She called back later and said "you called me?" Didn't say what business or anything. I made an appointment and showed up 5 minutes early. There was someone in the chair and she told me she had one more coming in before me. I wondered what the point of my appointment was and should have just left then. I showed her a picture of what i wanted (which was a picture of me after one of my best haircuts.) She made a face like she was disgusted and tried talking me into something different. She started shaving my head and it was probably the most painful haircut i've ever had with how hard she was pushing the razor into my head. i do a complete undercut all the way to the top of my head and when she finished she asked if i wanted her to do anything to the top. at that point, i didn't want her to touch anything else so i said no. it's a $13 haircut and you get what you pay for. won't return. read more

I was a little skeptical when I first walked in the place to be quite honest as I am very picky about my hair and hate getting bad haircuts. By the time I walked out, I knew I would be a repeat customer. Trizzie is a Vietnamese woman who runs the shop by herself and has been cutting hair for 17 years there which I think is amazing. She's super friendly and I loved talking to her the whole time! Also the cut she gave me was phenomenal! the owner seems nice, but I don't think this place is a kid friendly hair salon. They have decorations everywhere and she does not want kids near any of them. My kids sat in front of the decorations admiring them and at one point my 2 year old reached over to touch something and before I could tell her to stop she yelled at her not to touch. I get it, she shouldn't be touching the stuff, but she's 2.... and there's trinket decorations everywhere!... she also wasn't very friendly towards my 3 year old (the one getting the hair cut)... she kept telling her to stay still and pushing her head down... SHE'S 3... it was her FIRST hair cut... it took about 5 minutes and I left thinking I could have given her the same cut but better experience... AGAIN... the owner did seem nice to ME... but this place is definitely not geared towards SMALL CHILDREN! read more
