I had been looking forward to the appointment I had made for a couple of weeks. My hair is extremely long because I haven't been going to salons due to COVID-19. When I showed up on time for the appointment I made through their website, I was told that I did not, in fact, have an appointment. They are not taking new clients. Nothing on their website indicates that this is the case. They do, however, tell you that you'll be responsible for the full cost of whatever service you signed up for if you fail to show. I am so disappointed. No one reached out to tell me my appointment wouldn't be honored. This is very poor customer service and erodes good will. read more

Scheduled an appointment only to have it cancelled 2 days later as they are currently only accepting current customers. I understand canceling if things come up, but you should really post on your website if you're going to cancel due to only accepting current customers. Wish I could write about my actual experience in the salon, but I never even made it that far. Booked an appointment online and it was cancelled by the stylist the day right before I was supposed to go in. No reason given. Tried to call to re-book and no one picked up or returned my voicemail. Tried re-booking online and just got an auto response that my request had been received. After a few days of no confirmation, I decided to just book elsewhere. Amy is amazing. I followed her to this salon because she is that good. She is always friendly and greats me with a smile. I have a ton of hair and she always makes it look great. She is a perfectionist but fast. I get tons of compliments every time she does my color. Hailey is also wonderful and when the two are together you know your in for a fun visit. Hailey has been coloring and cutting my hair for about 5 years. She is fabulous at both! The salon is clean, comfortable, and inviting. Excellent client service; I have never arrived on time for my appointment and had to wait while she finished with another client. Unlike many salons, parking is plentiful. If there's nothing open curbside, which 9 times out of 10 is, several free lots are within walking distance. Friendly, personable, professional, and excellent service, you will not regret visiting Bella Blue Salon and you will walk out looking gorgeous! Hands down one of my worst salon experiences. So disappointed. Hailey was rude and condescending to me. I walked out, as she is an educator I expected so much more. It left a bad taste in my mouth about Pravanna color if they have someone like that representing the company. I was looking forward to having a cool local spot to get my hair done. Hailey was super patient with me and helped me articulate what I was looking for - better than I knew myself! I've been going to Hailey for almost a year now and she always blows me away every time I go. We started with the biggest hair appointment I've ever had......cutting off the dreadlocks I'd had for almost 8 years. It was a bigger endeavor than either of us had expected and she was absolutely wonderful through the whole (long and tedious) process and put in SO much care. I cried when it was all over for several reasons (all good) and she was so committed to the process and comforting. I was thrilled with the way it turned out; I truly couldn't have asked for better. I might add that she really hooked me up with a very fair price considering how much time and work went into this extended appointment. Next visit, almost 8 months later, she trimmed my very grown out hair into a low maintenance style that is perfect for me/my face. I showed her a few pictures, we made a plan of attack, and holy crap did she do me right! Third visit, just yesterday, I came in for a splash of color added to my fantastic cut. Again, we looked at a few pictures and talked about the details. I sit to process for a few and Hailey comes back with a custom shade of teal green mixed just for me. It looks badass and I'm obsessed! Hailey has wowed me with not only her magical hair powers but her caring/fun loving personality and I will NOT be going to anyone else as long as she's in business. FINALLY! For realsies. This place is adorable, parking is plentiful, and Hailey is super knowledgeable, professional, and delight to hang out with. What more could you possibly want? I got my hair cut here awhile ago and it was the first time I've gotten compliments on my hair since I started my search for a stylist in Renton. Hailey is great to work with. She does a top notch job on my cuts and I have yet to be disappointed. I tried the pravanna hair color and it was OK, but I usually don't stray too far from brown or red. Her techniques are 5 stars, and I will probably just try going back to brown on my next visit. I also love her boutique items. I found the most beautiful lapis necklace on my last visit and it has become my favorite thing to wear. read more

I just went in for the first time and I'm so happy to find a place in Renton to go! Amy gave me the cut that I wanted and definitely needed. She didn't try to go crazy or suggest something I didn't want. The cut is phenomenal and they made me feel so comfortable. I have died my hair for years so I know my ends are slightly tortured and she didn't hair shame me. I've gone places that basically tell you what's wrong with your hair and I didn't experience that here at all. I will definitely be back for my next trim! read more

Best spot to get your hairs trimmed! Atmosphere is calm, soothing and inviting. It feels more like a hangout rather than a place to get yourself looking legit...they definitely get you looking how you want to feel, but just as important they aren't trying to turn and burn chairs. You can tell they take great pride in their craft and their biggest concerns are your comfort and happiness with the ENTIRE experience they provide. I am not very particular about many things but for some reason I need my hair looking good by my standards and Hailey nails it every time. I will never consider going anywhere else. When it comes to hair they are true wizards here. And just totally rad people!
