Linda was suggested to me by a friend. This wasn't my first time getting a Brazilian. I don't think I've ever had it be that painful, and when I was done, I had leftover wax everywhere. The towel that they supplied to clean up didn't really seem to help much. We took off for vacation the next day, and all I could think about was how painful my bikini area was. Later that night, I was appalled at how red and broken my skin was. It took about 3 days just for my skin to calm down, and then I noticed that she had missed a bunch of spots which was a bummer on vacation. I don't have sensitive skin, and have never had such red and irritated results. Went in for a haircut today based on reviews, locality, price and a short notice need on my break today. Always nervous to let someone new cut my hair, so i went in hoping for a decent - not too screwed up- trim. What i got was Nathaniel! He had a great vibe n spirit about him. You could tell he really loves doing hair and making people feel good. Now to the important part: the haircut! I'm pleased to announce it was amazing! I'm so happy with this cut, his attentiveness and the way he styled it after. I didn't have time for a picture before i went back to work and messed it up. I'm new to Washington and the humidity and Daniel took the time to not only teach me about my hair and how to take better care of it, but also how to style it and everything. Seriously ladies (and gents) you would not, could not imagine a place like this located in the heart of downtown RENTON (sorry Rentonians- I get to say this because I grew up in Renton and lived here for most of my life). The beautifully renovated space is situated in one of the historic buildings and boasts sky high ceilings with exposed beams, warm brick walls, and an entire wall dedicated to beauty products galore. Brittany (Denise's daughter) offered me a tour of their spacious new digs and I'm madly in love with every square foot of their brand new location. Bianco and Co opened this past Monday July 26th 2010 after a 2 week long hiatus, and boy was I the happiest girl about town. I didn't know how long I could've lasted without a touch up had it been any longer, (gladly, I've had my roots touched up by my amazing colorist/stylist: Amanda). They offer a wide array of services from hot stone massages to spray tanning and have an amazing stock of kick ***, rock your world, beautifying, tried and true products! They carry BareMinerals, Morrocan Oil, and most importantly, they have Power Shots (which by the way are complimentary with any chemical service- and if you're anything like me you'll need them, trust me.) I feel a bit of conflict writing this review since everyone else has given the place 5-stars, but I feel that for the price, the product should have been commensurate. Plus one star for taking me on last minute on a normally busy day. Thanks to them! Another star for the hairdresser who was very nice and seemed to listen closely to what I wanted along with providing follow-up questions. This review is only for the haircut experience I received- cleaning the style up and helping me with the grow-out process. My hair is thick and isn't crazy challenging but it does need more care than straight hair. I did arrive at the salon with my hair in unimpressive shape and product build-up from the week. The haircut included a wash and condition and I noticed I still had a few flakes of leftover product in my wet hair after she sat me down for the cut. I think she may have noticed, but she proceeded... She cut my hair for about 10 minutes and started blow drying it right away. No product, nothing. She spent 4-5 minutes cutting a bit more off to shape the style and then finished the blow dry. She may have used a little hairspray at the end- I can't remember since it didn't do much if she did. I asked if straightening service was included and she said that it was extra. To her credit she went out of her way to tell me she could straighten the top for free. I didn't take her up on that since I just wanted to have the basic experience to make sure I knew how the salon operated. The end result: my hair looked and felt fuzzy, thick, and puffy with a very basic shape- like a "Golden Girls" bob even after all the communication we shared. The cut was incredibly basic. The price was $50, but this was a $20 cut from the mall. The lack of almost any styling product use was pretty amazing to me as they had walls and walls full of the stuff and the stylist even wanted to recommend some products for me to take home. Huh? To put this in perspective- I've only had cuts from Seven salon in Bellevue for the past 4 years and have been happy to pay the $65-$85 price, cut only. The stylist spends almost an hour shaping and reshaping and then finishing the style completely with 5 different products. Awesome- bring on the perfection. I don't get cuts often, but when I go into a salon I expect to come out feeling great and the hairstyle to last a day or two in that beautiful glossy state. Isn't that what everyone wants coming out of a salon? When I arrived home the first thing my husband said was "They didn't finish the job, your hair doesn't look good in the back..." I am being honest when I say that within mere minutes of leaving the salon, the hair puffed up even more and had that split-end look that tells you its time to get a haircut. *Warning this review may be a little graphic/awks* I made an appointment for a Brazilian wax with the deal I bought on Groupon and was able to come in just a couple hours I called them, which was nice! The receptionist was sweet and easy to talk to. My waxer was Linda, a nice, older Asian lady. We honestly had a lot to talk about right off the bat and the conversation was nice, and she made the process as normal as possible. So I've been getting waxes for 3 years and this place was the least painful and quickest I've been to. In the end, the job was done and everything is just the way I like it down under. However: 1. The "waxing" room seemed like a broom closet and was a little dim/messy. The hand towel provided on the table had OLD wax on it. Disgusting! 2. Linda used 2 different kinds of hot waxes. One for the outer areas and one for the inner. I wish she told me what she was doing because it caught me by surprise. 3. At the end of the wax, she handed me a PAPER towel with aloe vera on it? Is that even safe to be putting near those areas? I'm used to my old waxing lady who gave me shea butter and a hot wash cloth. This was insufficient for what I had to clean off because: 4. There was SO much leftover wax left on me!! It was everywhere! Even inside my lady parts which is so unsanitary! I raced home and got myself cleaned up ASAP! 5. Not really a complaint but she put me in some STRANGE positions...I'll just leave it at that. I really liked the salon and the ladies but if I'm thinking about the wellbeing of myself and my body, I would not come back and would not recommend waxes to anybody else. It's hard finding a reputable salon here in Renton that you can trust with your mane. There were only three or four places you can go without leaving the Renton area (in which case, you might have better luck in Tukwila or Bellevue), but I'm glad I made an appointment here. Not only that, but I was able to book an appointment two hours before I wanted to come in...on a Friday! WHAT! I had my hair cut and styled by Elizabeth. I was in need of a trim and to get my layers evened out and re-done. She was really sweet and very friendly. I told her exactly what I wanted with my hair and she was really great to work with. I like stylists that take the time to talk to me about my ideas and she actually gave her own input instead of just nodding and fully agreeing with me about everything. And I'm definitely glad I took her advice because my hair actually feels a lot more manageable even though it's still long! She even gave me some really good styling tips, which has really helped in getting a little more volume around the top of my head! Not only do they do haircuts here, but this place is like your one-stop shop for any sort of salon/spa service. I made a last minute appointment for my sister on NYE. The receptionist squeezed her in from 11:00 - 11:30 am with Kim. Here are the facts; my sister had not had a professional haircut in 5 years, so she was apprehensive about having her hair cut and styled. My sister also had no idea what type of style she wanted, and to top it off she had serious bedhead issues. When Kim greeted my sister and me, she was friendly and professional. I could tell my sister was still questionable about the salon experience. I think Kim picked up on this and eased my sister's worries with humor, conversation and an AWESOME haircut. Today I went to Bianco & Co, and the lovely Sarah was my stylist. She was immediately welcoming. We chatted for a few, and she took the time to understand my hair, as well as find out exactly what I wanted and provide suggestions. While she was working on my hair, we continued to talk, and she explained some "hair science" to me. She gave me amazing advice, and explained my hair and how to care for it in a way that no one has ever been able to before. Sarah cut my hair exactly as I requested, and went above and beyond by customizing it to my face. I am in love with my haircut, and I am so excited to go back to Sarah for all of my hair needs. Can I just say Britni is the QUEEN of doing blonde hair! I've been getting my hair foiled for years, and she blew me away! Usually, I'm never fully satisfied with the way stylists style my hair after the cut and foil, but Britni has the magic touch. I seriously feel like I have Victoria Secret hair after she is finished. The salon uses Kevin Murphy products and the blonde angel smells amazing and really works well. Britni also is an Esthetician and gave me an awesome facial the first time I went to the salon. I am so, so happy I took a chance on Britni. She is beyond amazing! Great selection of Dermalogica products too. Stumbled across this salon through Groupon. I needed a wax and they had a sweet deal on them, so I snagged one of myself. I called to make an appt and the receptionist was sweet. I was bummed when she said Denise (the owner) was booked for last Friday. So as I'm scanning my calendar to see what other day would work best, she said, "Waaaait! Nevermind. We can fit you in at 4:30! The owner just said she would take you." Wellll then! That's pretty sweet of her to do, so I was happy. I came in on Friday for my waxing. The salon itself is über cute. The salon is in an old building in downtown Renton. Lots of exposed brick, which I totally dig. Denise took me upstairs to the wax room and it was down to business. She's such a sweetheart. This isn't my first go at THAT wax, but it's been awhile. So she was really careful about it. There's no way around it. That crap HURTS, but she talks to you a lot throughout the waxing to help keep your mind off of it. What's great too is you can continually buy 3 waxings for $99 once you're on your last one. In October, I needed to find a place to get my nails done for my wedding. I read A LOT of Yelp reviews and was really nervous by all the negative reviews for so many nail places in the area. Bianco & Co had good reviews so I decided to try it out. My mother-in-law and I went in and each got a manicure and pedicure. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and my nails looked great on my wedding day. It was probably one of the better manicures I have had (and I have had a lot of manicures over the years)! I got a french manicure and pedicure, which is a little more iffy at a new place, but that's what I wanted for my wedding photos--and my nails looked fab! It is pricier than going to some other nail salons in the area, but if you are getting your nails done for something special and want to make sure they look good, I think this place is a good bet. Having just moved to Renton I was looking for a new place to take care of all my beauty needs. Bianco is a cute little shop in the middle of the "downtown" area. It is very clean and they play good music. I was able to get an appointment within 2 days on Valentine's weekend, which I know isn't easy. Everyone at the front desk is nice, and they have intake forms that make sure both you and your aesthetician are prepared for the visit. So now to the actual service: Brazilian wax. I've had all kinds of good and bad experiences with waxing, and I have to say this is one of the better ones. Ebony was very sweet and gave me tips on home care. They use two different kinds of soft wax down there. Never double dipped. It was fairly quick and relatively painless. I will say there was a few times she slipped up and it hurt kind of bad, but otherwise great. No leftover residue. It is kind of weird that they give you aloe Vera on a napkin when you're done, but boy does it feel good after going through all that unpleasantness. read more

This review is a long time coming. I've been frequently going to Bianco since they've moved to Downtown Renton almost 2 years ago. Its hard finding a good full service without having to leave Renton. I'm so happy they have moved into the neighborhood. I should note that I've only have had my haircut there, but they do offer many other services like mani/pedis, waxing, massages, and facials. I have had my hair done by 3 of their hair stylists, with two of them still working there. I first saw Kim. She has been doing hair for a number of years and it shows in the quality of her work and how knowledgeable she is. She knew exactly how to work with my very thick, wavy hair. I no longer see her because our schedules don't click. She tends to be there only in the afternoons and evenings. I'm currently having Britni cut my hair. She is also great and very friendly. I just had her cut my hair into a pixie and she knocked it out of the park. I have walked away happy every time. Price wise it's decent. I've paid between $35-$45 for a hair cut. I'm not sure of the prices for their other services. I did pick up a lipstick and eyeshadow one visit and they seemed very reasonably priced. My only complaint would be their lack of early morning hair appointments. The earliest time is 10am and also they are not open on Sundays, at least not for hair appointments.Being a small salon last minute appointments are not always possible. All in all I would recommend Bianco if your looking for a place to get your hair done in Renton. read more

I went to this salon for a wax after reading the reviews here on Yelp. I had a Groupon which really gave me a significant discount off their regular prices, which is always a good thing when you are trying out a new place. Bianco delivered, and I do see myself returning there for waxing services. My waxer, Heather, was friendly and efficient and did a great job. I mean, waxing is never exactly a fun experience! But I appreciate it when the esthetician engages me in small talk during the process to take my mind off the pain, and Heather did just that! She was also very quick...greatly appreciated! Everyone at Bianco was friendly, including the front desk person, Kelsey. I liked the vibe there a lot, professional but not snooty. The only downside that I could see was that I felt the waxing room itself could have been a little bit more updated, and with better lighting...i.e. dimmer in the room itself but brighter over the waxing table, rather than the whole room being bright. I went to Heather for a Brazilian wax after purchasing a deal on Groupon. It was my first Brazilian ever, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but she made the process more comfortable and helped ease my mind. She was helpful at explaining the process before and answered all the questions I had. I felt that she was very professional. She made good conversation while trying to distract me from the waxing part. The waxing was a little painful (obviously) but not as bad as I thought it would be. I've had a few services here. The salon is in a great location and it's also very convenient for me to get to. The staff has always been nice and courteous. It's easy to get an appointment. Nails: I've had my nails done here multiple times. They've always turned out beautiful and the woman who did them was very sweet. It's been a couple years since I got my nails done, but if the nail tech I used to see is still there, I highly, highly recommend her! Hair: Ugh. No. Just no. I paid almost $200 to get my haircut and ombred here and the while the ombre is pretty good, the actual cut is shit. It's uneven, chunky and looks like someone just randomly selected pieces to chop off. I got my hair cut here over a month ago and I thought it would grow out and get a little bit better. Nope. I'm so disappointed. I definitely won't get my hair cut here ever again. Also, while the ombre did turn out pretty good, I feel like I was overcharged. They were offering a partial foil and haircut deal for $99 on their website. While usually an ombre is more work, mine definitely wasn't. I had about a years worth of grow out and just needed my roots and grow out blended better. All she did was blend them. She probably used LESS product and didn't use any foils. Oh, I forgot to mention that there is also one spot that turned out a little leopard-like, but I'm too afraid to go back to have her fix the ombre or the haircut. So, do nails here... don't do hair here. I think the stylist I used needs some more training. read more

BRITNI is amazing!!! DENISE is amazing!!! I had the best Brazilian Blowout ever by BRITNI, and the fact that she uses the original BB makes for a beautiful result. In my next visit DENISE did a painless and perfect facial and brow waxing. I went back to DENISE for a wonderful, repairative facial. She always told me what she was putting on my face and how it benefitted my skin. She made suggestions about how I can keep my skin in good health at home, but there were no strong armed sales tactics at all. Booking: WAS A JOKE. My friend found a Groupon and had me tag along since I was overdue for one. She did all of the booking and I just went with whatever she told me that she had set up. Our appointment was set for Saturday and on Friday we got a reminder call and I was confused because the voicemail said my appointment was at 11:45am but when I called back to confirm the receptionist told me it was at 10:30am. Was very confused and when I spoke with my friend, she said that our appointments should have been back to back with her's being at 11:15am and mine following after. I called MULTIPLE times on Saturday to confirm because I woke up very early to double check and no one was answering. The place was open at 8am and I called around the 9 and 10 o'clock hour. We decided to just come at 11:05am and when we got there, the receptionist was just sitting in the front so I don't understand how she didn't answer the phone? Establishment: The setup inside was pretty clean but nothing that stood out. Parking: Free two hour parking on the side by the store which is great!!!! Brazilian: I read a lot of reviews about the different estheticians and was hoping to get Ebony because I read a lot of good things about her and didn't know who was working on me since I didn't schedule the interview. I was very much in the dark the whole time lol. Thank god I got her!!!! She was very friendly and it truly felt like you were getting your wax done by a close friend and not a stranger. The inside of the waxing room was not super clean but I've seen worse. She was very professional and told us about the process even though I've already had one done prior. I told her over and over again that I was very nervous and she was very reassuring and even let me play my own music! Her waxing technique made it so that it didn't hurt as much as my previous one but it still hurt because you're removing body hair. The only thing I'd fault her for was the fact that after my friend was done with her wax, she didn't change out the paper sheet that she was lying on... I left the room to ask her to change it but couldn't find her so my friend and I literally needed to search the room to do it ourselves. Red flag and it was pretty unsettling but it could be because she doesn't have a lot of people who have back to back appointments that were friends so maybe it wasn't a habit. Also, after the wax she didn't apply a soothing treatment which I thought was a standard. She told us to just use a paper towel and use one of the soothing lotions she had on the counter. read more

I booked a bridal up-do appointment with Daniel after finding some good reviews for this salon and I couldn't have been happier! I was a bit nervous since I did not schedule a trial run due to the salon/wedding being in a different location than where I live, but I was able to email in and bring in a picture of what I wanted and Daniel did an amazing job making my hair look absolutely perfect! I saw Elizabeth who did a phenomenal job on my eyelash extensions! I was in desperate need of a fill and wasn't sure who to go to because I usually get mine done in LA, but I moved here and had to find another stylist. I am very happy about how they were applied and how incredible they look! She is a complete professional and did an outstanding job. She layered them very well and there was no stinging based on the glue she used. It's worth the drive from Bellevue to Renton! I feel TERRIBLE that it has taken me forever to write this review! Here is goes: I have been coming to this salon for the past year. I found it by chance while googling a place to get a facial last holiday season and saw this place had holiday specials. I made an appointment and got a GREAT facial from Hollywood. The massage/facial room is VERY nice. I had a great time! Since that visit, I have had everything from waxing to pedicures to hair services, and I have loved them all. Dani has done my brows before, and the waxing room is very nice as well. There is plenty of room on the table so you feel nice and comfortable. Careful -- it's easy to fall asleep, even when you are on there for 5 minutes :) Kim is a MIRACLE WORKER when it comes to hair! It probably helps that she is brilliant :) Note: I am mixed (black and white), so as you can imagine, my hair is SUPER thick and curly! She is never scared of my hair and has done several blowouts for me as well as give my hair a nice trim when needed. Recently, we tried the Keraffin (probably mispelled) treatment on my hair, and I LOVE it! For the girls out there with super curly hair looking for a softer day to day curl and an easier time straightening the hair, I recommend this treatment. I am sure all the stylists are great, as I have seen other clients walk out with amazing hair. I have to praise Kim, though, so if you get the pleasure of having her work on your hair, you are for sure going to love the results! This salon has a super relaxing yet fun vibe. The receptionists are always so nice and welcoming. They all work very hard to accomodate your schedule. They offer you something to drink while you are there....I've had everything from water to a glass of wine :) They offer specials and fun little salon events throughout the year, so always check the board or the website to see what's going on. They also send flyers and sometimes coupons to your address as well, so make sure to keep a current address with them. This place is a jewel in the middle of downtown Renton. I came here with a groupon deal. They were nice and prompt. The salon itself looked clean. Heather, the esthetician was nice. However, my Brazilian was pretty painful, especially the first few rips. It was an usual pain. She used two different kind of waxes which I've not experienced before. When she used the hard variety, she had a hard time taking it off because she seemed to be rushing. The conversation wasn't very natural and was slightly awkward. Fast forward to about three weeks after and I'm having some serious in grown hair issues that I know have to be caused by this waxing job. The ingrown hairs are in the same area that caused me the unusual pain. Also, the waxing room was messy... It looked like she rushes all the time and spills the wax everywhere. The outcome at the time wasn't bad but it was uncomfortable afterwards. I wish I would have never gone. read more

Had an awesome waxing experience with Denise. After being burned by multiple ladies from different salons I was very nervous and hesitant to try again. I have very sensitive skin and usually just pluck my own eyebrows but I needed the fuzzy hairs gone. Denise reassured me that she would use gentle wax and oil on me so I wouldn't have that problem again. She tested a small area at a time and went slow. I have been going to Bianco and Co for about a year for massages. Wendi is awesome. I had been in a bad car accident and have quite a few pain issues. Update: I went and got a shellac nail service and a pedicure. They were very nice and accommodating. I actually took two friends who were visiting, and we all got to pick the color we wanted and we were of course all chatty and having fun. One of my friends got a full set of acrylics and I got shellac. We both got pedicures. My friend hadn't brought flipflops so she was given a cheap pair to use so she could get home and let her feet dry. Price-wise they are right in that middle range. My friend paid $65 for her fullset and pedicure. while we paid $50 (or $55) for our mani and pedicures (manicure was shellac). my pedicure lasted for a good 3-4 months and my manicure lasted just as a regular shellac would. read more

I got a great groupon deal for a brazilian wax here, and all the reviews were stellar on yelp, so I was game! Who gets excited for a brazilian wax?!! Apparently... I need a life. Anyway, the staff was awesome about scheduling me in at a time that was most convenient for me, I have a bit of a travel to get to Renton but was willing to give this place a try. Kelsey was awesome, she even called me on the day of my appointment to let me know that they had a few openings earlier in the day if I wanted to move my appointment up. Amanda was also great, as I called a couple days before my appointment to ask for some tips. This isn't my first go 'round with a brazilian, but it's been awhile. Luckily I got to my appointment on time as there was limited parking on the streets and I had to park a block away and make a short walk. I guess the bar patrons for Thursday night football had took over the street parking but it's cool, I needed the exercise. Upon arrival, staff member at the front desk was really nice, I didn't have to wait long before my waxer, Heather, came out to greet me. We spoke briefly about the process, and I told her what I wanted. As expected, it was painful. But I felt the session was rushed, conversation was awkward, and after all was said and done, I got handed a wipe with baby oil and was told that she would meet me downstairs. Hmmm, okay... some after care tips would've been nice, but I guess I will just ask google. I didn't get a chance to inspect "the finished product" until I got home, but when I did, I didn't get the Sahara Desert like I hoped for, instead I got Eastern Washington :( Before I left the salon, I did book a follow up appointment, but I'm seriously considering otherwise now. read more
