Tily is amazing! When I went in for a consultation, she made me feel welcomed and she listed to what I wanted. She and I were on the same page regarding my big chop and let me know she can prep my hair for donation and I can send it in on my own. This is now my second time going to Tilly and I am so happy I did! She did a full highlight retouch and cut, both were exactly what I asked. Down to the styling! The technique she used makes it so my highlights blend in with my peek a boo grays perfectly. During the service itself she was very accommodating and such a soothing presence. I love the color of my hair that Tily did! Tily was friendly and efficient. It would be great if the choice were offered to leave hair wet or have it styled. Mine was blow dried semi-straight, and I prefer to avoid heat unless it's getting curled or actually straightened. Also not sure any heat protectant was used. Additionally, I asked for a trim and with my hair a bit shorter in the back than the front. I got the opposite, and my hair is longest in the back. I got partial foil highlights, toner, treatment, and a trim, and it was pretty costly- 400, so a choice in style and cut would have been preferable. read more

Hidden gem! I went here on a whim when I badly needed a haircut, not knowing what to expect. I left happier with my experience and hair then any other salon I'd been to! And it was it a fantastic price for the quality of the cut. My hair is probably 2c wavy and most places I've been to have had no idea how to cut it. They cut it like it's straight and it often results in tears and frustration once I get home because of the odd waves as a result. Time management is not a strong skill though and your appointment time is arbitrary if she's busy. Updating my review from a 5 star rating to a 1 star rating due to my experience today. Please see below 1. I was told I need to carry a picture of myself with the desired hair style. A bizarre request coming from a professional hair salon. Apparently once you make up your mind at the beginning, you cannot request for small changes at the end. 2. A 30 min time limit for men's haircut. The minute you hit the 30 min mark, the hair cut stops. 3. Using a pair or scissors for majority of the hair cut vs using trimmer will cost you an extra $20 (almost twice as much as the regular price). To be honest I don't care about this as much as the above two points but wanted to highlight so people can make the right choice for themselves I was initially happy that I found a reliable place for my haircut but sad to see small businesses change their customer service. I made the choice to end the haircut abruptly because of the 30 min limit I was told, and walked out unhappy. Sadly, I will not be returning to this place for my next. read more

Consider this a long-term review, not just off a visit or two, but off regular visits every 4-6 weeks for the past three years. I have been saying that I needed a haircut for the last three months and never got around to it. The times I work are usually when salons are closed. I knew there would be no chance to do a walk in 30 min before closing, but I called anyways to ask Tily if she was available. She was available and could take me... at that moment I was so relieved because I desperately needed this haircut for a shoot the next day and even if I didn't get it. It wasn't the end of the world. There were lots of parking and it was easy to find. I loved that Tily was really welcoming and we truly connected together. I asked for her personal opinion with length and I had blonde (which I didn't like) and told her I was probably just going to box dye back to black. Tily was immediately again ít box dye and told me it just wasn't healthy for the hair. At that point she had expressed even if I didn't go to her for color she would recommend me to get it professionally done since it would be better for the hair. As someone in business, I never like to pressure my clients into choosing me as there are tons of options out there that they can select. After hearing this I was really glad I found someone that was the same values and asked her if she had any openings this week so I could get it color too. Tily said she would do it for me even though she was way past closed. My experience was amazing and I will be back for sure.
