Okay, I've legit being going here since I was a baby. My parents are family friends of the owners and pretty much our entire family used to see them at one point. They have an awesome staff and street parking. They do give you parking passes if you have a service (such as coloring) that takes longer than the street allotted time of 2 hrs. The Salon location used to actually be a block down the street and it was large and roomy, I believe a bar now took over the location so now this place is near Chop House Hair Salon and Red Apple. This location is currently closed to COVID, but their Renton location is suppppper nice and BOOMING! I actually love it at the Renton location because it is much closer to home for me and super convenient. I always see Teresa for my hair needs. Like I said previously, I have been seeing her at the Beacon Hill / Seattle location since I was little. She styled my hair for all my middle and high school dances. Gave me my first haircut, perm, highlights, Balayage and the list goes on. Typically, I always need to refresh my balayage and come in for a split end trim. I always get my hair layered bc its super thick and heavy. Teresa always knows exactly what to do. If I'm going for something different than my usual, I bring in pictures and that is all she needs! They got snacks, free coffee, tea and other beverages. They got a great selection Oribe & other hair care Products! Love love love it here! LET ME HOOK YOU ALL UP! Niko (IG: @nikochanellhair) is HANDS DOWN the best. Ive been hanging with her since she had her sweet spot in downtown Bellevue and am so glad she is still in the area but even if she wasn't I would make the drive for her. This woman has been doing my lashes for a while and they are the fluffiest, most long lasting sets I've gotten. Trust me when I tell you, this retention is ! She's very accommodating as I started to get allergic reactions to the glue she was using, she had other glue types which were hypoallergenic or just better for sensitive peepz. Not only does she do lashes but she also does hair! I've attached some photos of her work on my hair! Pricing is competitive but also depends on the service you are getting. I have so much hair and she got through it without a problem... the fluffy volume lash fills are also at a fair price! The salon is completely new so you will feel completely comfortable and refreshing during your appointment. I love Teresa! I was recommended by my friend to go get my hair colored by her for a purple base and platinum ends. Though at first the purple did not turn out well, she offered for me to come back to get it done for free and got it in for me and I am loving every second of it! My experience at this salon was amazing enough to get on Yelp and write a review on this spot! First time at this salon, I was passing by and walked in for a consultation on a balayage and luckily Chelsea happened to be free at that time. She gave me great suggestions on what she could do my hair since I had previous coloring and also quotes/estimated costs on the service so that was nice! Chelsea was top-notch! Words cannot explain how above and beyond she is. Very professional and super friendly. I really liked that as she was coloring, she went through all the steps on what she was doing. She took the time going through the details of coloring my hair, and checked in a lot if I'm doing okay and/or if I'm feeling comfortable, definitely shows that she really cares about my result and my time/experience. It took about 7+ hours (i have A LOT of hair and previous coloring), and Chelsea was very patient and professional. I'm always passing by this salon on my way home from the light rail station and decided to stop in for a consultation. I was really unhappy with my last color job and wanted to find a new salon. I came in with patchy purple/gray/brown hair with 2-3 inches of Asian-black roots and left Salon Nouveau with beautiful mermaid-purple hair and a darker shadow root. A few things that made me feel like Chelsea and Salon Nouveau went above and beyond: - It was clear that she could sense the uneasiness I had from my previous color job. Before she put down any color or got started on my hair, she showed me photos of the color she was going for. - During the bleach session, Chelsea started to wash out parts she worked on first and let other stronger sections of my hair continue bleaching. I appreciated this because my hair takes a really long time to lighten and she allowed my hair to reach its fullest bleaching potential in one appointment. - During shampooing, Chelsea asked me if the temperature was okay after the bleach session and then warned me about the cold water after the dye session. The chairs were also very comfortable and my neck didn't feel particularly strained, like it has at other salons. - She only had me scheduled for half a day, but she stayed with me all day to make sure my hair was perfect. Teresa is not only an owner but super women taking care of 3 boys and wearing the most sexiest shoes! She charges $50 a haircut but all the cleanup with the sides, fades, and lines are complimentary. Most hair salons do not have this service so this is super nice since most the time the sides are what most men needs cut anyways and you can do this service as many as you want because it is FREE! I like the tipping mail boxes with their cute pictures. This makes it more convenient to put it in a envelope so you don't bother them with their next appointment. I also love buying the sexy hair frenzy & manic control pomade here. It not only smells good but it gives my hair a nice hold better than crew hair products. This salon is near my neighborhood so the location is very convenient. I like supporting local businesses in my hood. I was stuck in the #36 downtown so I took the train, instead. I planned to get a haircut and my sights led me here instead of my intended area of the ID/Pi Sq. Maria greets me (I put G$ down as a ref; she smiled) and I ask for a cut. You get the option of putting the gown over your clothes or wear just the gown top (this is better if your warm already). She said Teresa will be with me shortly. While waiting/during your time, I noticed you have water, tea and a rice cracker dispenser available for use. The outside does give a rather more elegant euro effect than the modern, clean and simple inside. Teresa meets me and she's a super warm and friendly person with a great smile. Both ladies offered me water/tea. The station is good with a large mirror and spacial sense. You can have a small table near you for your stuff. I told her what I was thinking, keeping the same and what's looking to change. She definitely sounded knowledgable, smart with a seemlessly smooth composure that I believe comes with experience and a knack for customer service. She gave tips. She gave ideas, recommendations, etc. Great shampoo. And yeah, those tip boxes are neat, too. If these 2 ladies are any indication, the whole staff is awesome, the price reflects their experience, the cleanliness, the vibe and the complimentary stuff. Finally got time to write a review! Teresa is great and highly recommend anyone to go see her!! My hair was very damaged from being bleached twice to get a platinum blonde color and then dyed a darker ashy brown color (idk why they did that!) at a salon in China. It was quite a traumatizing experience, since my scalp was burning during the last 2/3 of the entire process. After coming back to Seattle and letting my hair grow out for half a year, I decided to see Teresa due to my friend's recommendation and since it's a 5min walk from my house. I showed a photo to Teresa of what kind of balayage I want and she definitely gave it to me. I don't remember the entire process but she stripped away all the color previously on there by doing a french bath to get back to the platinum blonde and then applied a toner with color. My hair didn't exactly turned out the way I wanted after the first session, since there were some blending to do. She wanted me to come in the next weekend so she can fix it and it was for free! After the second session, I was amazed at how it turned out and loved it! Her little daughter, who was there that day, is adorable haha we were trading/sharing chex mix. Great customer service and Teresa definitely aims to wanting her clients to leave happy. Did I also mention they use ORIBE products?! I've been using Oribe shampoo for almost a year, but had to invest in the hair mask after they used it in my hair here because it's amazing!!! I've been trying to find a great salon for the longest and I finally found that place. I love so many different things about this place. What first got my attention was their happy hour services they do monthly. From Tuesday-Friday 2-3:30pm, they do happy hour services which consist of 50% off! I wanted to do a balayage/ombré service and I saw that they had that service on happy hour this month so I booked an appointment right away. I saved $75 because of happy hour!!! Once greeted at the door, you are given a black silky robe to change into so products won't get onto your clothes while doing your hair. They even got snacks to help yourself when you get hungry. Especially if you're there half a day for hair color (I was there for four hours!) Chelsea did an amazing job and we had a brief text conversation before booking to make sure we agreed on the method and the direction. For asian hair, bleaching and dying can be tricky business because of all the toning and she did an amazing job. What makes this place outstanding is that she set expectations. She knew the toner would make my hair have a gray tinge to cancel out my current situation and also explained how fading would work. This all was said before we started the dyeing process and to me, it shows they really know what they're doing. Furthermore, it's not about the immediate look but the results that last for months that matter. I wanted to wait to write this review until after I was able to wash and do my own hair without the professional style, and I was very right to do so. Honestly, I read all the great reviews and seen the pics but I should have known better. Almost everything has to do with coloring. I came in for a cut not a color. I cut off 8 inches of my hair and got some long layers and after my haircut it was very noticeable in the back. It was very step like in the layers and didn't blend in at all. Maybe this was my fault? I said no to texture in my hair, but tbh I've always said no to it and I've never ended up with something that looked like that. They fixed it but they forgot the sides. Now that I'm on my own with no professional styling, it's very noticeable how the hair on the sides are layered, it's not blended in at all. When I sat down, I told her that I don't do much to my hair and that I needed something easy to take care of, I said that I don't do my hair in the mornings and wash it at night. So I while I understand that with some time and work I could prob make do, this isn't what I said I wanted. In addition, this was def more on the pricey side of haircuts. For what you are paying, I would expect better. read more

I had a really great experience at salon nouveau! Pros 1. They were really upfront about pricing and gave me a quote before we got started. The salon also offers olaplex for a very reasonable price ! 2. There's 2 hr free zoned parking around the salon, but they lent me a parking pass so I wouldn't have to move my car during my appointment 3. Chelsea was awesome! She Checked in often and explained everything she was doing. As someone who usually will walk out with a really expensive haircut I hate and be too embarrassed to say anything, I felt comfortable enough with Chelsea to ask her to make adjustments on my cut. So one morning, I rolled out of bed and looked at myself in the mirror and realized my hair hadn't been cut in several months and was in desperate need. They seem to have the full spa works if you want it - massages, etc. I was just there for the hair though with no time to spare before a night out on the town. My hairdresser, Cheryl, was super nice and just the right level of chatty. Not overly so, but not boring either. A nice shampoo, hair cut, and blow dry (of rather thick hair) took about an hour. I came in with orange brown hair and finished off with ashed out balayage with baby lights! I didn't think it would take more like 3 hours or so, but it took like 5-6 hours. So after seeing all the great reviews on Yelp, I decided to give Salon Nouveau a try since it's in my neighborhood and I needed a new hair stylist. I wasn't that impressed. First, I'm confused by the decor. I don't feel like the inside matches the outside, especially the beautiful awnings. The interior just seemed like a mis-match of bright colors with weird, contemporary architecture. I'm not too particular about my haircut so at first I didn't really realize that I didn't like it. After a few days of playing with it on my own, I realized the layers were waayyy too short especially since I know I don't like my hair "stacked" too much. Searching a social media outlet (ig) I found all these great pics of before and afters from a chick named Charesse. I figured with my upcoming move back to the 206, I would try her out eventually since I have been getting prettty decent service from my current stylist. Welp, that changed when I couldn't get in and I know I can be a little needy but normally my girl gots me but this allowed the opportunity to try Charesse and boy was I excited!!! Even more so when I found out that she worked in my old stomping ground of B. Hill!!! Might I add that she is a fellow pinay too:) Saturday morning 8am, perfect for me! Pulling up, parking can be difficult if you don't know the area. The salon was super cute and clean! Simple, yet modern with flairs and pops of colors etc. Charesse was AH-mazing!!!! Very knowlegable and quick too for someone with her years of experience. I look forward to seeing Charesse @ Salon Nouveau again!!! read more

I recently moved to Beacon Hill and wanted to find a stylist nearby. I scheduled an appointment at Salon Nouveau for a cut and style and am very pleased with the results. My stylist was Sonia, a kind and lovely woman from Brasil. She listened carefully to my concerns and checked in with me periodically through the cut to make sure we were on the same page. My hair turned out looking almost exactly like the photograph I'd shown her. (My coarse hair texture means my hair more or less does its own thing no matter what.) The atmosphere of the salon is peaceful and calm and the environment is very clean. I'm happy to have found this little neighborhood gem and will definitely be returning to Sonia for my next cut and color. read more

When I go to Vegas, I always need to get something done to my hair prior...something spunky or different. Having a "new look" or fresh cut is a part of the "to-do" checklist before heading off to a vacation. :) This time around, I decided to get some highlights! I usually just stick with my natural black hair- and I was pretty hesitant for awhile on changing that, but I love it now that its lightened! It's not too drastic, which I instructed I didn't want to go too bold- and Teresa (owner) was very good at talking me through which colors would blend best w/ my complexion & making me feel comfortable! & it turned out just how I wanted~~ also, before going to her, I had received an awful bang cut at another salon. I felt totally insecure about it so I would wear headbands & bobby pins. But she was able to fix it!! I was so relieved & thankful. haha. The staff is great- all friendly & provided customer service. I also liked it that they could just joke around w/ one another- of course, keeping things professional but at the same time you know they are good team. :) It's located in Beacon Hill~ so you need to park on the street but finding parking wasn't that difficult. PS- I rocked my new highlights and bangs in Vegas~ something about a good hair day that's boosts your confidence level ;) read more
