I have been seeing Zdenka for several years now and followed her when she went to Salon Q. E. I prefer it because it's smaller and much quieter than other salons. But I would follow Zdenka wherever she went. She is a master of color and cut. I have ALWAYS been extremely happy with her work. She is a real professional and will let you know whether she thinks a style or color will be a good choice for you. I appreciate this so much! Sometimes we don't know what is best for our skin tone or face shape. I've made mistakes in the past and previous stylists just let me go ahead. Of course the client is the boss but her opinion is so very helpful. I have no plans on ever seeing anyone else. The foils and cuts I've received are beautiful and I receive many compliments. Salon Q.E. is fannntastic! Blown away by David's skills, attention to detail, and personality. I'm that client who comes in with a photo of some weird trendy shave-fade haircut, shows it to the stylist, and says "can we do something kinnnd of like this? Anything you think looks good though." 99% of the time the stylist sort of laughs a bit and we end up doing something a little less extreme because they don't want to mess up my hair. (Fair enough.) David on the other hand looked at the photo, and then straight up told me that he doesn't normally do anything like what I was asking, but we could give it a try. I said "heck yeah!" and buckled in for the ride. Not only did David and I have an enjoyable conversation (I don't find it easy to get into flowing conversation with most stylists I've visited over the years, so this was a big plus in itself!) he managed to pull off EXACTLY the sort of style and look I was going for. I'm absolutely thrilled! If you're trying to decide which salon to visit in Seattle, I wholeheartedly recommend Q.E to you. I went to Epiphan for my haircut and it has been, by far, the most amazing haircut I've ever gotten. He was an absolute genius when It came to handling my hair. I went in for a consultation first and he patiently explained what would look good for my frizzy thin hair. He explicitly mentioned that I could not get It done if I didn't want to. That showed that they truly cared how their clients felt. I made an appointment to see him right there at his next availability and got myself really cute bangs (something I never thought would suit me but Epiphan knew best and he was right), haircut and a gloss. You're not going to go here for the ambience or the cool music but the haircuts are amazing and The people who work there are so incredibly down-to-earth and nice. If you have hair and you want the absolute BEST cut and color of your life, you need to come here and ask for Epiphan. 1. He's hot as hell 2. He's French and has a sexy accent 3. He knows what you want better than you know what you want and when you come in saying you want to do something drastic, he is experienced enough to know what level of change you can realistically handle 4. You want to keep your long hair long even though you have split ends to your ears? He is magic. Split ends will be gone, hair will be sexy, and length will be maintained 5. Your color will be absolutely phenomenal. It will look natural but have depth and dimension and you will get compliments all the time. Just carry his business card around with you because you'll be giving it out to strangers nonstop. I went in unsure if I wanted change, but decided to go ahead and do something different after years of saying I would but chickening out. I asked for red hair, and Epiphan knew I wouldn't be able to handle TOO drastic of a change and he worked his magic. Ever the wimp, I of course decided it was too much change and came back to tweak the color a bit- which he did free of charge after spending over 4hrs with me. Went back again to do something a little lighter and he is literally a magical human person. The color he has done is phenomenal- every time, totally flawless, and every time it turned out just how I wanted it even when I was switching things up. He's been doing hair for over 15yrs and is a true master. Honestly everyone at QE seems incredible, but really- he takes the cake in my opinion!! My friend and I walked in for a haircut. More specifically, my friend had a trim and got maybe 2 inches trimmed off and I had at least 4 or 5 inches chopped off and more layers added. My haircut was nice and I like it, but it was $85?! I was so shocked, but I paid for it anyway because I didn't know what else to do. I figured at most my friend paid $50 considering how expensive this place is and the fact that her haircut was basically a $35 haircut done in less than half an hr. No, she also paid $85. The prices are ridiculous. I understand this is Belltown, but there's we got ripped off. They should have at least adjusted the price for her. read more

I made an appointment with Epiphann and after a consultation he was able to mitigate my patchy bleach job and colored my hair this awesome pastel pink color. When I moved to Seattle in 2014, I was looking for a hair stylist who was really strong in color. My mom helped me research and found David Hewitt. I knew I found the perfect match after our first appointment. David does an amazing job with warm blonde, cool blonde and strawberry blonde. I like to warm it up in the fall and winter and move to cool in the summer and in 2016 I experimented with red tones and loved it! Not only is he fantastic with color, he is amazing with hair treatments to keep hair healthy. He introduced me to Keratin treatments and it has been a game changer. My hair is now smooth, soft and super healthy even with color. He will also throw on glosses from time to time to really make it shine.
