New location, new job, why not a new cut? I sat on the chair and Robbie asked what I wanted. I replied, "I want something different, but I am not sure what. Can you just do something for me that will compliment my face?" Without any hesitation or a thought, he knew what to do. Before he cut my hair, he did tell me what he was going to do and even though I couldn't see what he was seeing, I trusted him. As he was cutting away, I kept seeing my hair, piling up on the floor. It was like 5 inches and a lot of it just flying off of my head. I started to regret my decision. Once he was done cutting, I told him not to worry about drying my hair since it was raining really hard, but he refused and said that we needed to see what my hair was going to look like. He dried it and also curled my hair to give it extra volume. I think I lost 5 pounds after he cut my hair, but to be honest, I absolutely loved my hair cut! After years of having the same hair cut/style, I actually felt like a new person. Weird, right? I felt younger, looked younger, and the look was fun and modern. I understand my hair was damaged on the ends but she easily took 2-3 inches off. I cried the whole way home. How do you not talk to someone before doing that? Communicate to your client what needs to happen and don't just get scissor happy because you think that's what is best. Now I gave it 2 stars because I guess the "blending" is good? I honestly told him, "Do whatever you want, so long that it is not the current 'dirty dishwater brown' that it is". It was icky and I knew it. His face lit up like Christmas morning and it was evident that it had been a bit since someone had given him total creative freedom on their locks. He graciously obliged and offered me some coffee (a nice touch). The salon was okay. It had just been remodeled and while it seemed to lack any central theme, I didn't really care too much. I'm the type of lady that would rather have Gisele Bundchen hair done in a dirty closet, than go to a salon that resembles the Taj Mahal walking out looking like a broke down version of Coolio. Sue me. Christiano began applying the color: briskly, thoroughly, and the entire time keeping me entertained with conversation. When he was done, he washed me out in the shampoo bowl. It felt INCREDIBLE, he was firm but not too firm. Then, he gave me the most beauteous blow dry I have ever had. I felt like a Victoria's Secret model with all of the attention. He flipped me around aaaaand ...... BAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM! Amazeballs. My hair looked and felt so silky, so bold, so red, so sexy. And the best part of all was that it looked perfect for me. She got to work quickly after I told her something basic: "I want 3-4" off to get rid of all my dead ends, keep layers, no bangs since it's summer." I trust way too easily, so since it was such a pleasant conversation, I told her she can do what she thinks was best.
