Your stylist called me and told me ON VOICEMAIL: the day before my appointment told me she was sick. Fast-forward two weeks later . Then two weeks later I call you guys and tell you I might be 10 to 15 minutes late due to a car crash on the highway and you immediately told me to reschedule. You don't even try to accommodate me in anyway so keep lying keep talking lies. That's a damn shame. So I'm so sorry you guys think "hell" is such a bad word. Also this is all after my appointment two weeks before was canceled by your stylist. Never had that done before by a stylist thought. Hell I would've taken a different stylist that day. I would've even waited . But you guys just immediately canceled on me. It seemed like you really wanted to get out of there. It was close to the end of your hours at the salon. Either way, it was extremely unprofessional and instead of accommodating me by having me go to another stylist you guys just canceled my appointment. Very unprofessional they do not communicate well with their clients. I'd recommend a more established place that cares more about their customers and clients. That's a damn shame because I was gonna bring my children there. Oh and I think it's really funny how you guys said that I called and said to you that I was gonna be 20 to 25 minutes late . No one does that. No one says that they're gonna be almost a half hour late and expect to be seen. So right there I hope everyone reading this knows that you're lying. A lot of places won't do that unless you schedule extra time so I leave with blown out hair, which is just fine, but it's nice to have my hair the same way that I normally style it so I have an accurate idea of the finished product. I sat and listened to the conversations and unlike other salons I've been to here and in my native Chicago, where women tend to go to the same salon for years, here it's all superficial fluff. These people are as phony as a $3 bill. They don't want to know you; they just want your money. And they tend to be super conservative... The receptionist even tried to tell me how much to tip! The color was decent, but the cut was flat, no volume or bounce. Worse, when you try to tell them how you like to wear your hair they get pissed off! They walk on water in their minds. They do not care what you think or what you want. Their products are overpriced, but they never recommend them, anyway. Most stylists will suggest styling products to help you at home. Again, they don't care once you walk out of there. My stylist was full of herself, always bragging about what a great stylist she was. Thank God I found a better place that's only a few minutes further but well worth it. At Hair Forum, they stick you with whoever has the fewest appointments. (Wonder why). My current salon goes through the stylists' varied experience and prices and seeks to match you with someone who will work with you. It's perfect because it's a collaboration, not being stuck with a dictator.

Nothing fancy, just needed the bangs thinned out and a tiny bit snipped that overhung on my ear. I had an appointment, went in, and as soon as the stylist picked up the scissors I wanted to bolt. The older lady there has hands that shake badly. Enough so that every time she got close to my ears or my eyes I held my breath and tried not to move. She was nice enough, asking questions and trying to be polite, but I was unable to relax in that short amount of time because I was terrified of being poked. The worst part was the time and price. It took her all of five, maybe seven minutes to thin the bangs and shape up the sides, and had the audacity to charge me $50. $50 for shaky hands and 5 minutes worth of work? I can't go back, and I can't recommend that you do, either.
