I am a male and the only other time I had a manicure done was before my wedding nearly 30 years ago. The shop was very small and the couple that worked there are an actual couple, husband and wife. I had been in this place a few times before but only to pick up Amazon items that I had ordered. I liked the place - cozy but not claustrophobic. The husband gave me my manicure and it was a most enjoyable experience. We chatted about my hands and how I use my fingers and nails, his wife and kids, and their vacations. A very pleasant fellow. He washed my hands, clipped my nails, filed, buffed, took care of the cuticles, washed my hands again this time with a pumice soap, and then applied oil/lotion to my hands. She told me initially that she would not have time to paint my finger nails 3 different colors. I wanted them black with 2 red and the right and 2 pink on the left. I was a little snappy and told her i could just paint my own nails at home if she could just remove the nails. She ended up painting them for me, and did a great job. The pedicure was not great. I didn't need a polish change. So she did like scrubbing if you could even call it that like 1,2,3,4,5,6 movements and done. She also took two 15 minute breaks where she just turned away from me and dazed off into a computer screen. Not even scrolling. She appeared to just be studying the schedule without ever changing the screen. I probably would not have noticed except for her being very clear about not having time to paint my nails in multiple colors. I just moved to the LC which is literally next-door, so I was excited about finding a new permanent nail salon close by. I will not be back here. I doubt it matters since they are very busy.
