Having cancer and going through chemo is not easy. You loose a lot.... Including your hair. I was fortunate to cold cap and only loose about 40% of my hair. I had very thin spots on the top and sides. I went to Molly at Taylor Square. She was incredible!! I can't say enough positive things about her!! She had special equipment to look and evaluate my scalp. She then recommended specific products to help regrow my hair. I loved my experience at this location. Actually, I have loved my experiences at all the Kenneth's I've had appointments at. But I haven't had a good haircut in years, and I left yesterday having one of the best haircuts I've ever had. With Summer being so experienced, she understood the needs of my hair. the staff is nice, but the girl who did my hair did terrible. i needed my roots bleached for my senior homecoming and they look worse than they did when they were grown out. now they just look unevenly grown out but it cost $260 and it doesn't even look like i got my hair done. the picture is of my hair AFTER she finished bleaching my roots. read more

So far, since moving back to Ohio, I have had the opportunity to visit a Kenneth's location twice. My first experience was some time with Kelly in New Albany for a makeup lesson. I arrived makeup free, and my intention was to learn some new tips and tricks for my now 50+skin and also see about some new products. I received all of the above! Kelly was patient and kind. she spent time explaining each product and why she chose it and helped me understand how to apply the makeup. Their product line is jane iredale and I did purchase most of what Kelly used on my face primarily because I was in need of a complete renewing of my makeup. I highly recommend Kelly! My second appointment was with Summer at the Taylor Station location consultation and a color. The location is bright and energetic. I felt immediately welcomes and at home there. I recently experienced a poor haircut at another salon that was far shorter than I asked for and looked nothing like the picture that I sent and brought with me to my prior stylist. When I showed Summer the picture of what I asked for vs what my hair looked like before and after the cut she was very kind but also very direct. She confirmed my suspicion that the cut I received was not only too short but also, unfortunately, uneven. Summer also spent time telling me about her background, how she cuts hair, what cut and color would make sense for my skin, face shape, and hair texture. In short, Summer was amazing. Summer gave me some very important styling tips and I left with a slightly new color, a plan for my hair, and more confidence in styling my too short cut. It's time for a new stylist. Where to go? Kenneth has always had a good reputation, and my son gave me a gift card.  Taylor station is convenient and has a nice vibe. But which stylist? Kenneth's website as this Q and A, where they match you according to price, talkativeness, and interests.  I was matched with Moriah.  I was greeted and checked in at the front desk and offered coffee at the coffee bar. I also received a text reminder. (I left my previous stylist of 8 years because she had forgotten my appointment 3 of the last 6 times - I knew Kenneth's was on the ball with appointments). I was nervous.  I was meeting someone new who had SCISSORS.  Plus, it usually takes a couple of stylings before someone learns your hair. Moriah immediately put me at ease as we discussed, length and effort, layers or no layers, where my hair naturally goes. Are you a klutz with a blow dryer and curling iron?  Yes, I am. Should we start a little longer since hair shrinks when dried and then cut off more?  Yes, please.  Nothing felt rushed.  And my cut, I was amazed. Even though I spend at best 5 minutes in front of a mirror, I want to look good and not just on the day of my appointment. I looked good, even in the drizzling rain.   I am looking forward to a return visit with Moriah.  She is delightful. And she definitely can be trusted with scissors. read more

Disappointed with Kenneth, The 'stylist' will charge you extra without discussing with you, They will act nice and friendly until time for you to pay and ' surprised ' you with extra charged (almost double) .for 'service' or 'product' you don't even ask or aware of. It happens both in Gahanna and Reynoldsburg locations, the result not even that good, Just beware. I personally done with Kenneth, it's a scam. I will go somewhere else from now on. read more

I booked a visit the night before with a random stylist as I had never been here before and was matched with Erica. My appointment was for 10am but I was not seen until about 1025 which had me a little bothered but I understand there are others ahead. I was a little nervous about the style that I had in mind as several other stylists I had seen before told me my hair was not capable of being done this particular way. Erica was sure that this style was possible and that she would make it happen - and she did! She nailed the style I wanted and brought my hair back to life. I absolutely love my new haircut and cannot wait to book with her again! My flat & lifeless hair finally had volume, layers and health after Erica was done. They no longer accept walk ins due to covid, but we called and got an appt right away. That was awesome! Walked in and I thought it was a wrong place at first they just finished their remodel at the beginning of the month. They still haven't finished the other half . We checked in and waited on our appt time . I was getting my four year olds hair cut. He had long hair below his shoulders and has never had short hair . So with clippers and a short cut he was excited but nervous . Our stylist did very well with him . His hair looks cute and she gave us tips to adjust to his new hair. His haircut cost $34 before tip. Where do I begin? I've never left Kenneth's feeling completely happy with my hair, but this last experience was the final straw for me. I went in to have my regrowth bleached. I asked for an appointment with someone who was experienced in bleaching/blonde hair. What I got was a horrible dye job. A brassy multi-color band was left all throughout my hair. The top was not horrible but definitely very warm, which we had discussed beforehand was not what I wanted. I've had my roots bleached countless times and this has NEVER happened. She blew me out and had me look at it. I took a look and wasn't feeling happy with what I saw, but I figured I could tone my hair myself. I paid and left. A few minutes later I began to run my fingers in my hair and discovered the horrible spotty mess that was all over my head. She blew me out and didn't mention how bad my hair was underneath. Instead of just letting me know and offering to do it again, she just let me go. That is just horrible business. I went back to show the manager. She seemed sympathetic, but asked me if I would like that same stylist to do it again. Why in the world would I want her touching my hair again? I ended up getting only the bleaching part of service refunded to me after being offered to have it redone for free. I sat with another one of their stylists and we talked about what happened. She tried to tell me sometimes hair is resistant and that the top of my hair lightened better than the underneath because the sunlight in the summer naturally lightens your hair....lol I went to virtue to see what could be done and set up an appointment to have my hair fixed. The stylist there told me that it looks like the girl that did my hair didn't let it process long enough. I would expect that kind of work at Saturday's, not Kenneth's. Kenneth's also wanted to bleach the same hair again in a couple of days when they fixed it. The stylist at virtue told me that would have left my hair in very bad condition. I now have a long term plan set up to fix my hair and minimize damage. Bleach is a very serious chemical and there are no room for errors when applying it. Save yourself the time and money and go to virtue where they actually care about their clients hair. read more

I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Jenna for almost a year. Since that time, my hair is healthier, due to Jenna's recommendations, and I have some new growth spots, due to changing a few hair care habits. (also Jenna's recommendations) We moved a little slow on the highlights, but really brightened me up this last visit. Wow! The features in my face are more defined and my eye color really pops! I want to start this off by saying that the salon is very clean and nicely decorated, the girl who did my hair did a good job and I was pleased, however... I made an appointment at 11:30. I sat and waited until 12:30 and as I was about to leave the stylist came out and called my name. Not once did the front desk staff ask me why I had been sitting there over an HOUR. Then she took me back and was very nice. She cut my hair and then applied the color. I was thinking, okay, stuff happens, I get it... but then.... She takes me and sets me aside in another seating area with the hair dryers, and brings some other guy back and cuts his hair FOR ANOTHER HOUR while I'm waiting with dye on my hair to be rinsed off. I got there are 11:15 and didn't leave until after 3:30 and it cost me over $100. Unless they feel like giving me a free cut and color to make up for the terrible experience I had there I won't be going back. Sad because I like the way my hair looked but the whole thing was just ridiculous and wasted half of my day. Will have to find someplace else, I suppose. read more

I have been going to this Kenneth's location for many years, and I keep coming back because my stylist, MJ, is amazing! She does a phenomenal job every time I come in. I have an asymmetrical bob hairstyle with red and blond highlights, and I receive compliments on my hair all the time. I also see Neelam for my eyebrow waxing whenever I get my haircut, and it's like visiting a friend :-) Thank you Kenneth's for making me feel and look beautiful at every visit!! read more

Molly Beeker is AMAZING!! I've been going to her for approximately 15 years, she has done a fantastic job from day one! I went to her because a previous hair stylist had ruined my hair and she fixed everything! It took over a year to get my healthy hair back but she knew exactly what to do with my hair! She specializes in thin hair and is a master stylist! I was a travel nurse for a year, and I would travel back to her just to have my hair done! Honestly terrible service. I've been to them two different times and both times were awful. The first time, the stylist was training someone & was speaking with her trainee the entire time about what to "fix" about my hair, & she also refused to place in highlights that I wanted. The second time, I called to make an appointment for a haircut, and the person told me the appointment they had open was in ten minutes. I asked if that was okay that I would be on my way, and that it would most likely be a couple minutes late. She said yes, that she would let the stylist know. When I walked in, they checked me in as a walk in even though I had made it right on time AND there is supposed to be a 15 minute grace period, so I had been told. They didn't tell me I was placed as a walk in so I was sitting for over an hour and 45 minutes for a five min haircut. I asked what happened, and explained politely what I had been told over the phone. They apologized, quickly took me back and had someone wash my hair while they called a different stylist (whom I was not even scheduled with) to come back from her lunch break early to finish the cut, due to their mistake. They gave me the cut for free, but the entire experience besides that was mishandled. The lady who cut my hair told me the layers I wanted wouldn't look good, so I also did not get the cut I asked for, she only gave me a trim. read more

First time I have had a haircut that allowed me to air dry my hair and look decent. Kristi is extremely professional. My hair coming in was very long and I wanted to chop it all off in the way of Jennifer Lawrence 's new hair cut. Theresa was amazing. I have been going to Kenneths for Brazilian waxes. Neelam is absolutely wonderful. She does a very quick and precise job. She is extremely friendly and great to talk to. She shows interest in how you are doing and helps to keep you distracted as all your hairs are being ripped out. I have gotten many Brazilian waxes where the estheticians will miss random hairs. Neelam does an amazing job, and I never find hairs she has missed after leaving the salon. She also does a great job with eyebrows.
