Stopped getting my hair done at Penzone years ago but every now and then I still need a massage. So, the massage: Prices up quality down. Booked my favorite masseuse but when I arrived they changed people on me. Disaster. If you want to pay over 100.00 for someone to rub oil on your skin but has no clue what a muscle is you will be fine. But I actually wanted a massage. The same massage I usually get when booking. They switched people on me (could have called and informed me / I would have cancelled and rescheduled with the person that does the job. New person - lousy job, I can't even use the word massage; maybe oil wipe. Offered a redo, ok, then Penzone called and cancelled the redo appointment. Then the excuses, "Oh your regular person does too much. You want the more expense massage where we really work the muscles. Greed, poor quality work; you have forgotten the customer and just want more money up, up, up ---business is going down, down down. Don't waste your money here folks, no matter what you pay the services are POOR. Never again -- any services.

I booked an appointment specifically for a…read morebase color AND highlights, and I showed the hairstylist reference pictures of the color and overall look I was wanting. However, my base color was never changed only highlights were added. The highlights also ended up being much more subtle and darker than the reference pictures I showed. I was hoping for noticeable, soft caramel/brown highlights with more dimension throughout my hair, but the finished result looks very close to how my hair looked before. I did tell the stylist that I liked it when I left, but I want to be honest that I only said that because I felt uncomfortable being rude after she had finished my hair. Once I got home and really looked at it, I realized I was genuinely disappointed because it wasn't what I had asked for or expected when I booked the appointment. I understand that hair doesn't always turn out exactly like a reference picture, but I feel like there was a pretty significant difference between what I booked, what I showed, and what I actually received. I was really excited to get my hair done, so it was upsetting to spend the money and leave feeling like my hair barely changed.

I paid 57 bucks plus tip for this "cut." Once the next appointment showed up, mine was put on fast forward and I was shooed out the door - but not before trying to sell me a bunch of stuff. My hair cut had more lines than a movie script. Also, there was no fade. Just short hair. The hair wash was very nice. When I went back so that they could "fix" the previous attempt, I wasn't charged - though I kinda felt like they shoulda paid me! I'd go there again if you drove and paid for the first cut, and the following "fix it" cuts.

I was ready for a big change! Skylar was amazing and completely surprised me with her recommendations. After learning I would be traveling to Vegas soon, she said I should wait on coloring it so it wouldn't fade in the sun. We also had a long conversation where I discovered the conditioners I was using were too heavy. I was doing too much for my type of hair. She gave me so much layering and body, while lightening the weight. My hair is so much easier to manage now and looks 100 times better. She could have colored my hair and charged me more, but instead told me what i needed. I can't thank her enough! I will definitely book her for all my future appointments. 1 before pic and 2 after pics

I've been to at least 4 different stylists over the past 4 years and have walked away deflated and disappointed with the results. Victoria took the time to help me figure out how to soften the freaking around my face, make my hair not feel so heavy, and course the right coloring for my features. Although I've not lightened my hair for YEARS, I'm pleasantly surprised by the results of the lighter balayage. I think I'm so partial to darker, more sultry coloring but I'm very happy with the cut, color and style I now have. For the first time in 4 years I walked away from a hair appointment confident and smiling.
