I would try to book the person I had last time for some kind of consistency -- and, even though I would specifically choose appointments based on the waxing specialist listed at the time, whenever I arrived, I was just told someone else would be doing my waxing. The last time I went it was a brand new person--in fact, she said it was her first week--and the experience was incredibly painful. It made me question what kind of training she had been given. Additionally, she did a different service than what I requested! At the end, she explained she had been "distracted" and gave me what the previous customer asked for. I recently went somewhere else, and the experience was entirely different and not hardly painful at all (and yet an equivalent cost). This location would benefit from better management and training.

In my time coming to this EWC I have seen several different women, all great. Most recently I've switched to having Marion as my regular waxer. She is so kind of careful. She listens to what you want and makes sure the results are what you expected. And let me tell you. There is never, ever going to be anything comfortable to me about spreading your legs into butterfly formation to a stranger, but somehow Marion makes that process *as painless as possible* and as non-awkward as possible. Nothing like keeping up with it when you've got three! After seeing good things on Groupon about Asia, I scheduled my appointment with her and headed on in (after exfoliating and skipping the moisturizer that day, of course). Asia was outgoing and friendly and immediately made me feel right at home as I neatly folded my underwear and hid them under my jacket. I mean, when you have someone touching, applying hot wax, and yanking out your hair, um, everywhere down there, you really have to feel some sort of comfort with the person. And so I proceeded to tell her all about my personal life. She rolled with it. Laughed in the right places. Acted shocked in the right places. In other words, made my experience waaaayyyy more enjoyable than a Brazilian wax should be. Yes, it was painful, but my regular bikini waxes at another (not to be named) place hurt way more because there was no conversation, no laughing, no . . . dare I say it . . . fun. Yeah, I said it. In a nutshell, the quality of the work done by the nail techs just isn't up to par. It seems as though they are hiring very green techs and they aren't receiving any training, therefore the quality hasn't stayed satisfactory. This last time the work was really bad. It took two hours for a basic gel mani and then I still didn't receive the full service. I was too shy to say anything or make a scene while I was there, so I waited until after I left. I emailed in to try and get them fixed and even then it then took almost a week of going back and forth, trying to book a new appointment... and they eventually ended up refunding me because they didn't have availability. That then meant that I had to figure out how to get them fixed elsewhere. This happened to my cousin the same exact week but at another location so I have a feeling it's across the board. Not sure if they are growing too fast or what, but it's a bummer. I've been going to either this or other locations for 3+ years, but now it's time to move on. I hope they're able to work it out.
