I've been getting bikini waxes for several years now and have been wanting to dive into the, gulp, Brazilian. So when I saw a Groupon for 3 Brazilians I went for it. Nothing like keeping up with it when you've got three! After seeing good things on Groupon about Asia, I scheduled my appointment with her and headed on in (after exfoliating and skipping the moisturizer that day, of course). Asia was outgoing and friendly and immediately made me feel right at home as I neatly folded my underwear and hid them under my jacket. I mean, when you have someone touching, applying hot wax, and yanking out your hair, um, everywhere down there, you really have to feel some sort of comfort with the person. And so I proceeded to tell her all about my personal life. She rolled with it. Laughed in the right places. Acted shocked in the right places. In other words, made my experience waaaayyyy more enjoyable than a Brazilian wax should be. Yes, it was painful, but my regular bikini waxes at another (not to be named) place hurt way more because there was no conversation, no laughing, no . . . dare I say it . . . fun. Yeah, I said it. The location is in a high traffic area and if you don't know what you're looking for, might miss it, but I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have worked with Kasmine and Natalie and they both do a great job. I'd like to be able to change this review to 5 stars since every other review I read has been positive. I called Seabolt yesterday to schedule a Brazilian wax for today at 3pm. I was offered a 50% discount for new clients which is a great promotion. I am currently in the parking lot at Seabolt, it's 325pm and no one is here, not the technician I scheduled the appt with nor anyone else so I can reschedule (or figure out what's going on). There is no option to leave a message when I call. I'm pretty disappointed. read more

I've had two Brazilian wax done with Natalie which were absolutely amazing, fast and pain free! She was professional and knew what she was doing however my experience today with a new person was disastrous! She started and after an hour and 20 mins she was still not done and blaming me(shaving) for it!! It was traumatizing and I still went home with tons of wax and still some hairs here and there Very disappointing.. make sure you ask for Natalie or do not get it done here! read more

This was my first Brazilian, so needless to say I was a little nervous. Jamie made me feel comfortable, and warned me about the areas that would hurt more than the others. He also explained that since this was my first one, it would be a little more painful than future waxes. I won't lie- it hurt! But what do you expect when someone is ripping hair off of your body... Under arms were next. Definitely not as bad as the Brazilian and I've already booked my next appointment at Seabolt. The salon itself is cute- love the pallet walls. This is my first experience with waxing. That being said, this was definitely a great experience. My appointment was with Allison who was just as charming and hospitable as you could ever ask for. She was so focused on my experience and making sure that I was comfortable that I forgot to be nervous! Considering I was ready to pass out in my car... this was quite an accomplishment in itself! The procedure was not at all what I was anticipating (thankfully!). Nor was it like stories I heard from my friends (again, thankfully!). I was so appreciative of the time, attention and demeanor of Allison. She assured me that we could stop at any time and that I would not "look funny". She started at a bikini wax and worked her way in. So that if I wanted to stop, I had an even, balanced and , dare I say it, pretty look. I had such an amazing appointment! I met with Allison and she was absolutely incredible. This was my first experience getting a bikini wax, but Allison took the time to walk me through the process, and made me feel so at ease. I had a very poor experience overall with Seabolt and Co. and will not go back! I made an appointment, but they were running 20 minutes behind schedule. There was only one esthetician working. Luckily I had some time to spare, but the same could not be said for the other two irate customers who came in after me. The owner is not professional in any way, shape, or form. I went in because for a 1st time customer, services are 50% off. Online it said that you could get as many services at 50% off during your first visit. When I asked about it, the esthetician said she would text the owner, but because she was running late, we would need to start the services even though she would not confirm the deal. I ended up getting two areas waxed. The esthetician did a fine job waxing. I had a screenshot proving the deal (unlimited services 50% off) in writing from their actual website, then showed her the live webpage, which also had the deal in writing. The owner would NOT honor the deal, even though it was listed on his own site! Very poor ownership. So I had to pay full price for one of the waxes. Then, when I went to pay, the esthetician charged me way more than the prices on the website. Again, I pulled up the website to show her the prices online, which did not match the prices in store. She tried contacting the owner again, but he would not respond. She became very flustered due to several customer appointments all piling up due to being understaffed. She finally overwrote the pricing for me after much back and forth. I cannot financially support a business where the owner will not take any responsibility for his shop. If you have outdated prices on your website, you eat the cost. If you have a deal listed on your website, you honor the deal. Your website, your problem. I will not be using their services again, and I will be sure to dissuade anyone else I know from going there as well! read more

Worst customer service ever. First I get an email less than 24 hours till my appointment saying it's been canceled. Then when I ask why they couldn't have called me or scheduled me with another person, I got a nasty email back. And when I asked for a refund of my prepaid amount I was met with "good luck getting that done". Well, sexless to say, when you show those emails to the person receiving the refund request, and a threat to sue for refusing to reschedule me after I've already paid for 2 additional treatments, my refund was processed within the hour. read more

Not very impressed with the service or with my Brazilian. I have patches of obvious hair that should have been removed. If I were to wear my bathing suit today, I would have to shave my bikini line so I would be presentable. They don't use a hard wax which is less painful and more efficient in getting all the hair from previous Brazilians I have gotten. I felt like I was a inconvenience and the service was hurried and sloppy. Not really a place I would recommend. Sorry. read more

I'm giving 1 star because I'm not permitted to give less. I'd like to first note that Allision makes this facility a pleasure. I purchased a Living Social deal for Seabolt, very cute concept. After the service, Living Social requested feedback. I noted that when I went for my service the bathroom was filthy... This is the response I received from the owner: I assure you that cleanliness is important to us (plus managed and inspected by the cosmetology board) and we are shocked that this has been said about us. We meet all sanitation regulations as required by law. After all of the five star reviews found online regarding our service and facility, including those reviews that specifically brag about the cleanliness of our facility, this is a shock. If you had any problems with our facility, why did you not come to a member of management and discuss your concerns before leaving a review? As the owner, I have had no e-mails, phone calls, or even a face-to-face discussion from anyone, including yourself, in regards to our cleanliness. It seems shocking that you would bring up a concern of this matter through a review instead of through direct contact to the management/ownership directly. It surprises me to be receiving a negative review after the countless positive reviews we have received since our opening. Needless to say I will not return mainly because of how the manager handled this issue. read more

Update- I had two appointments that went terribly wrong and therefore I am no longer using this business. The first experience was when the girl for my wax was over 30 minutes late, so therefore I was late for work. Decided to give her a second chance, because their prices are reasonable. Second experience, I waited almost 45 minutes, no one showed up to the shop at all, so I left. Never even got a phone call or email with an apology or offer to reschedule. This gave me the extra push to go with laser hair removal instead. read more

Always professional and courteous and knowledgeable about the products. I highly recommend him for my waxing because it is always a quick and pain free experience. I went to the new location at Tuttle Mall tonight- just kind of wandered in with my boyfriend to look around, and noticed that they offered brow waxing services. I asked if they would do a walk in appointment, and Jamie told me he would warm up the wax pot so that they could. We came back about 20 minutes later and the wax was quick and relatively painless, and Jamie did a wonderful job...but it gets better! The $15 price for a brow wax was already reasonable, but then Jamie informed me that new clients get 50% off their first service! My wax was under $10!!! Will definitely be returning! read more

Went for the first time to this salon and saw Allison for a Brazilian wax. She was extremely friendly and, even though we had just met, made me feel comfortable the whole time. Allison's waxing technique, along with some ibuprophen about an hour beforehand, made for an almost pain free experience. I've had several brazilians before and it's never been as tolerable as it was with Allison. She was extremely thorough and left me completely hair free. I've been getting my back and other areas waxed for about 5 years, and after trying almost every establishment in Columbus that offers waxing services I am convinced that Seabolt and Co. will be my last stop. Will was welcoming and polite, and made me feel more comfortable then any other place I've been to. The products used here were the real kicker for me. The wax and other skin care product worked really well with my skin leaving me smooth and free from any breakouts or irritation afterwards. I have been looking for a new place to get Brazilian's since I have moved back to Columbus and of course try new places until I find one I really love. I had Natalie doing my Brazilian. She was kind, friendly and made the wax as comfortable as possible. Of course there is a little pain, as it is a wax, but she made it quick and effortless! The decor was trendy with upbeat music, very clean with a fresh flowery smell. The parking is a little confusing I passed it a couple times but finally realized the back was ok for parking. First of all, the location of this place is not ideal - it's hard to find parking. I thought I was going to be running 5 minutes late, so I was panicked to inconvenience the folks working here. Jokes on me. I ended up on time and they didn't take me back to be waxed until THIRTY minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. I asked the girl at the desk "I have 4:35 as my appointment. Is that right?" She was so nonchalant and not caring about the fact that they "had to accommodate walk ins." The place smelled nice but looked really dirty/unkept. The floors were filthy and I didn't like the atmosphere at all. The woman who waxed me was nice, but her waxing area was SO dark...I don't know how she was seeing. I told her I like my brows thicker and just wanted them cleaned up. I left with thin and short eyebrows. Sigh. I found a great Groupon for 3 Brazilian waxes. But before I made the purchase I read the reviews for this place. Not going to lie, I was a little sketchy because I saw a few bad reviews. But I also saw MORE positive feedback than negative, so I bought the Groupon. I had my first wax today and it was great!! I've only had one other Brazilian and this one was a little less painful. Jamie used strips (I have only used wax) and it seemed to hurt less. I had a very good experience. At first, I was a little nervous bc I was having it done by a male. But honestly, I had a much better experience with him than I did with a female!! We talked the whole entire time, which kept me relaxed and I felt completely comfortable. Jamie was very thorough with the wax and was very nice!! I didn't even know he was the owner until about halfway through!! I can't wait to go back in 6 weeks!! :) read more

The atmosphere was awesome and the place seemed very clean, but that's where my positive experience ended. The girl who did my waxing, Natalie, wouldn't talk to me and didn't adjust the wax temperature at all even after I told her it was burning me (I had welts for almost a week after). When we went to cash out she paid my friends without the Groupon and basically told me she wouldn't refund the money and I should try to get a refund from Groupon. I guess she thought it wasn't her problem. I should have read the reviews before as everyone says Jamie and Kasmine are wonderful! If you go, just don't go to Natalie or you'll get an overall uncomfortable experience. read more
