She told me initially that she would not have time to paint my finger nails 3 different colors. I wanted them black with 2 red and the right and 2 pink on the left. I was a little snappy and told her i could just paint my own nails at home if she could just remove the nails. She ended up painting them for me, and did a great job. The pedicure was not great. I didn't need a polish change. So she did like scrubbing if you could even call it that like 1,2,3,4,5,6 movements and done. She also took two 15 minute breaks where she just turned away from me and dazed off into a computer screen. Not even scrolling. She appeared to just be studying the schedule without ever changing the screen. I probably would not have noticed except for her being very clear about not having time to paint my nails in multiple colors. I just moved to the LC which is literally next-door, so I was excited about finding a new permanent nail salon close by. I will not be back here. I doubt it matters since they are very busy.

I had a friend in town and we decided to get pedicures together. After a quick browse on Yelp, I came across Thyme in Grandview. They are fairly new, only opened about a year and half ago, and you can find them in the new development right off of 670 on Dublin Rd. I gave them a call and they were able to fit us both in a few hours later... mind you this was a Friday morning. When we got there we were totally taken back by how big and gorgeous the salon is. Everything is pristine! From the chandeliers and the blue lighting on the ceiling to the massage chairs and nail display, they couldn't have done a better job. We both got just your basic pedicure, but with gel. It came out to about $70 for each of us, not too bad. I didn't even end up taking pictures of them by themselves, which I usually love to do after getting a fresh set. I truly respect the work nail artists do.. as for the artist I had, there's room for more attention to detail and communication during the service so clients leave fully happy with their set and shape they asked for.
