I was recommended to this spot by a friend so I was excited to try it out. Thanh Do (hopefully I'm right) did my deluxe pedicure with gel polish and she did a phenomenal job. She was gentle, but very precise and I was comfortable the entire hour. There was another lady who brought me the color I chose and did a swatch of the color I picked and a similar- and I ended up choosing the other color she brought. I thought that was nice of her to do, since most places do not typically do that. The shop looks spacious and clean, with many nail techs ready to take on customers. I did make an appointment, and even after checking in I was asked twice what I was getting done by techs or managers that did not complete my service- which was confusing. I 10000% recommend nails on Neil! The building is a gorgeous, clean and friendly atmosphere. The owner Hein is so wonderful and patient. He treats his clients like family and is truly the best. I recently had an incident at work where I ripped my nail all the way back into my nail bed. The next day he saw me and glued it down to try and give me some relief from the pain and did not charge me a dime. This past week when I came to him for my regular appointment he took an additional 40 minutes on the nail to try to fix it. He took off the dead nail so gently it didn't hurt at all. He then rebuilt me a new nail where I was missing one. I have attached a picture. The attention to detail and patience is unmatched anywhere else I have been. Nails on Neil moved to a bigger, more impressive location on Olentangy River Rd, near the corner of Ackerman. Four of us went in last night for some well needed pampering during their soft opening. Hien of course rolled out the red carpet for us when we arrived. He always make us feel so special. I see him do that for all his customers. It comes off genuine. He truly appreciates each of his customers and makes sure that they are aware. There is a wall dedicated to regular (not gel or dipped) nail polish colors. The wall is so beautiful and impressive. If you can not find the color you are looking for on that wall, then I believe that the color may not exist. Checking out the wall alone is well worth a visit in to Nails on Neil. We hopped in the new luxurious pedicure seats and I was transported to heaven. The massage chairs actually hug your body, making you feel so relaxed. You have the ability to control the type of massage, the range, and the intensity. It was extremely relaxing, a welcome pleasant surprise. I went with the deluxe pedicure for $55, which after finishing the relaxing pedicure seemed completely a fair price. All four of us were wow'ed with the new location. The amount of space. The plethora of nail polish colors. The customer service. And our beautiful toes after the pedicure. Trust me, we will be back many times. A wonderful place to get self care! Van did an outstanding job. I was overjoyed by his special kindness. A woman who parked next to me had her car die and my car was in the way for her to be jump started. I told her I was almost done, but Van volunteered to run out and move my car. I have been here once or twice in the past but decided to head over again because I was in the area and in need of a balance. It was late afternoon on a Thursday. I was greeted and seated and they got to work on my nails immediately. I went with a bright purple matte color, which I ended up really loving. The nail tech did a good job straightening out one of my nails that had been shaped at a slight angle at my last balance, which I appreciated a lot. The final shape didn't end up being as precise as I would have liked, but it served my purposes fine in a pinch. One thing I didn't love is that the nail tech I went to does this weird thing which I remembered from the last time I was there as he did it, which is that he drills your real nail edge down on the underside so that it's flat underneath the nail. I understand it definitely helps it not to catch so much dirt, but it also thins out your nail. I think if I go back I will make sure to mention that before it happens again. Otherwise, it was a good experience and the salon is clean. Definitely worked out fine for being in the area and getting it taken care of in a rush. read more

From what I remember on the prices at the old location were cheaper than they are now. I went in for a basic pedicure the total came out to $41. I've been frequenting Nails on Neil for years. Last Monday was my first time since they moved into the new space. I had a gel manicure and pedicure done in advance of a wedding on Saturday, at which I was a bridesmaid. The individual doing my nails took their time and everything looked great when I left. The result was pretty subpar, the acrylic tips was pretty uneven, I kept asking to re-file them down/more roundish, but this ended being the end result.
