I chose Marissa, because she had some openings on a day I had off of work. Marissa did an amazing job on my color and highlight. She was so personable and friendly, and listed to exactly what I wanted, and what my concerns were right at the beginning. She understood precisely what I was going for and NAILED IT with the color. I chickened out on the haircut after all, but I would definitely trust her to cut my hair in the future. The products used were incredible, smelled great and did not leave smells on my hair after the highlights were done. The look is so natural to me and left me feeling confident. Mission even offers you a 10 dollar reward on your next service and some product discounts when you review on Yelp or Vagaro or Google. This young lady was not only rude to me, but extremely dismissive. She cared more about getting me out of the way than my guest experience so she could go back to gossiping with the others. They were my special treat growing up where they helped me through my different hair phases and for all of my special occasions. They're now my "treat myself" luxury as an adult and even after I moved, I kept driving about an hour and a half (one way, about 3 hours round trip) to get my hair done. They always made it right when things went wrong and I stuck by them, even when they remodeled and made my "relaxation time" public to the rest of the salon (nobody likes being placed in a lobby/"social room" with foils on their head to be gawked at. I recently decided that after a couple bad encounters with the salon that I'm done getting my hair done by them. Caught in traffic? They have a 15 min policy where they cancel your service, which kinda sucks when you drive over an hour and get stuck in traffic. The girl I've been seeing there for almost 3 years also left and I was never notified and they wouldn't tell me if she went to another salon. The cherry on top was when I requested to know the color they have on file for me and they refused to tell me. Evryone's time is valuable and I understand that they don't want competition, but my money and time is also valuable and I can't keep driving an hour and a half to get my hair done with the threat of having my appointment suddenly cancelled. I'm also loyal to the service rather than the provider, so being set up with someone else that doesn't know my hair or allergies is also a pain. I've already decided I'm not returning whether or not they give me my color, so for the health of my own hair it would have been nice to know what they were putting on me. So, I'll end with, it's up to you whether or not you visit this salon. I've had good and bad experiences and it's been totally dependent on who is providing the service to me. Understand that you can invest all the time and money in the world to them, but just like most businesses they still won't care.

She rearranged her day to squeeze in the color (it had not been noted on the appointment) and didn't miss a beat. No huffing or eye rolling, just a fantastic service. Probably the best haircut I've had in 20 years. The salon itself is open concept and the 'color bar' is like a big picnic table with lots of people and stuff coming and going. It got really crowded. Finding a place to sit while your color processes can be a challenge if it's busy. However, the staff are incredibly patient, kind, and eager to assist in any way they can to make your experience a positive one. No attitude, laziness, or sloppy t-shirts like at other salons nearby.
