If you have curly/wavy hair, Emily is an amazing stylist to work with!! I've gone here two times so far, and have left each time so happy with my hair. As a tired college student, I wanted to get highlights in my hair and touch it up as I do not have time to get my hair done often. It turned out so amazing, and I feel so pretty. After about a year of searching for someone that could properly cut and maintain natural curly hair since I moved away from Buffalo. The yelper previous to my review helped me see the light. I called, ever so polite took me the next day. Then a few hours later... they called me to confirm. Very professional. Then the day of my appt, the new young woman at the desk looked at me and asked me my name and if I wanted a beverage? Enter a Emily... she discussed my goal of growing out my curly hair and she explained the process of what she was doing. She was personable and polite. She also knew exactly how to dry and cut my hair. Using an innovative technique that I was not aware of. I am sad it took me a year to get here, but glad I found it. They use bumble and bumble products. Pricey as most good products are. But the hair and manicure prices are standard and I have no complaints. I had a great experience here! The person who used to do my hair stopped after having a baby and I needed to find somewhere new. I grew up in Clarence driving past the Salon in the Tower and saw it was highly rated on yelp so thought I would give it a try. I called and they had one open spot for the week so I booked it. Emma cut my hair and she did a fantastic job! I had a pretty simple cut (straight across with some face framing pieces) and it turned out better than I had imagined it would. Everyone was very friendly and the building, decor, lighting and spacing were nice. The rates are really reasonable for the services offered which makes it easier to offer a generous tip. Had an okay experience here with my little sister. She wanted to try curtain bangs and the hairdresser said it would work well with her, making her very happy and comfortable. The only problem was the execution. There was about two strands of "curtain bangs", layers were uneven, and she got her hair thinned unintentionally. The hair stylist asked my sister if she was okay to use a razor and never explained the purpose of it, which after we left realized it thinned her hair out. There are random short chunks of hair all around her head. The top layer is about an inch shorter than the bottom layer, not at all what she asked for. We had to go to a different salon to get it fixed with the little hair she had left. Unfortunate visit as we had heard glowing reviews from this place :( read more

I went last week for the first time for a cut and color, and I'm happy to say I'll definitely be going back! All of the staff there are very caring and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. My work schedule changes each week and it's really hard for me to make appointments last minute, but when I originally called to book an appointment the receptionist told me that she would still try to see if she could find a way to squeeze me in that week, and said she would call me right back to let me know if they would have time for my services. Within 10 minutes she had called back and told me that they would have a stylist come in 4 hours early for me to accommodate my work schedule that week! I didn't request a specific stylist and they scheduled me with Emily. I would recommend her to anyone! She took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and showed me different options of what would look best with my hair type. I have very thick hair and it can be pretty unruly, but she knew exactly how to make it look amazing! read more

I had my wedding party preparatoin here and couldn't be more pleased with the facilities and the service. I had coordinated everything from Miami, FL and the ladies at Salon in the Tower were more than accomodating. They were very easy to get in touch with and very clear about the prices, services, and options. Because my ceremony was so early on Saturday, they let some of us come on Friday for our manicures and pedicures. On Saturday morning, we basically had the place to ourselves. They had set up a table for us to put all of our champagne and pastries and let us choose the music. My and my bridesmaids hair turned out perfect. There were a few ladies working on our hair and a couple doing the makeup. They managed to stay within the time limit (which was a tight one) and the price was extremely reasonable. My only complaint was that the woman who applied my makeup must have just returned from a cigarette break. Her breathe in my face was not the most pleasant thing to smell when you are trying to get pretty. I hadn't realized this place was so far OUT there. I thought it wasn't going to be that far past Transit Rd. It definitely is. Budget time for the drive, but definitely book an appt. here, it is well worth it!!! read more

I have been going to Salon In The Tower for the past 3 years and I honestly love it! I always have Elena cut my hair and she never disappoints. The salon uses all Bumble & Bumble products, which I'm addicted to, so I really like getting to try new lines of products B&B has come out with when getting my hair done. The prices are very reasonable as well. I am moving to NYC in a year and I honestly think I am going to fly home every few months just to get my hair cut by Elena here (and to visit my family too of course ;) )! read more

I had an appointment with April for the 1 hour signature facial and OH MY GOD it was incredibly relaxing. She makes you feel instantly comfortable and is amazingly knowledgeable of her trade. She made service and product recommendations, but does not PUSH product - this is a big deal as I hate feeling pressured to purchase something after an hour of relaxation. I'm much more inclined to try the samples (which she provided) and come back to purchase at my next visit. I am a long time spa-goer and I must say this is hands down the BEST facial I have EVER had. My ONLY 2 complaints are her availability (she only works on thursdays from 9-4)- which really isn't her fault - her husband travels and she has children at home. It was tough to get an appointment with her. I understand there is another esthetician (Linda) - but I have yet to meet her - Wish I could have been introduced at my last visit. They are also closed on Wednesdays - I found that odd.... Nevertheless, I can't WAIT to go back!! Beautiful spa & atmosphere :) read more
