Kristy to the rescue for my hair! Had a special occasion and needed a haircut and curls. As always, she did an amazing job. Can't speak for the other location, but the Spartan one rocks! Always excellent customer service and ample parking too.

I recently moved to sussex county from bergen county and I have been having trouble finding someone to cut and style my hair even in bergen/passaic county. And I have been trying g at some high end salons....I dont ask for much maybe some long layers and a blow out seems like basic 101...but shockingly there are many stylists that cant even do that right! so I when I visit salon de panche in Newton I was very happy that Kelly got my hair right! I finally found a good stylist. The salon is very quaint yet up on upscale products I love the decor and whole feel being there! Would definitely recommend

I bought a Groupon because Over the last 5 years I've been searching for a hairdresser that listens to me and takes hair health seriously. I did my homework and researched the salon. I was paired with Shana who was excellent in blonding. Shana listened to me and was able to accomplish my goals without compromising my hair health. I'm very happy with my hair and have already booked my next appointment. I feel relieved that I finally found my hairdresser!

To follow my review I posted (please check it out), the top two photos is MY makeup and the rest three is how Maria did it.

I came to this salon for a senior prom to get my hair and makeup done on Friday June 9th. I usually get my hair cut regularly by Kaitlin (highly recommend her), so I decided I might as well get my makeup done as well. Unfortunately, getting my makeup done here was an AWFUL idea. I showed a specific picture to the makeup artist as an example of what I wanted, and it was no where near what I was looking for. Not only that, but the makeup was very unprofessional and sloppy. She barely applied any eyeshadow or foundation and my eyeliner wings were messy and uneven. It looked truly awful. Next, I got my hair done by Kaitlin which was wonderful and exactly what I wanted. I told the ladies that I did not like how my makeup looked at all but it should have been obvious. I was getting told that there was nothing they could do about it since they already "used the products on me". When I told them I was just going to take it off and do it myself when I got home, the only thing they claimed they could do is have that the same lady re-do my makeup. This doesn't make any sense because if she did an awful job the first time, what makes anyone think she'll do great the second time? Plus I had no time for that as, like I said, I was going to prom and if I still didn't like the makeup, I'd have to go home and re-do it myself anyway with even less time. I was forced to pay full price for barely any makeup on my face, INCLUDING an automatic tip for the lady who did my makeup unprofessionally. Not to mention she used HAIRSPRAY on my face as "makeup setting spray", which made me feel gross, sticky, and stiff. I ended up taking it all off right when I got home and did it myself, which came out 100% better than what I had just paid for. We also called and spoke to the manager Kelly and was told we'd receive a call back from herself or the owner within 10 minutes, but we still have not heard back from them, FOUR days later. I do NOT recommend getting your makeup done here by Maria. Not sure I even recommend this salon at all anymore in general since they allowed me to leave there visibly upset and did not even attempt to contact us again after we reached out to them. I have pictures of both their makeup and mine. I'm extremely disappointed since this is my usual hair salon I go to.

2 days already wearing off. Didn't get consistent nail shape or rounded like I wanted. Tons of cuticles left.

We circled a lot looking for spots, trying to get our bearings. It wasn't until after circling for a while that we called the spa and they said valet was included in our service. No one told us that when we were booking. And no one told us that like it would be like arriving at Disney World to try and find a parking spot, the valet was included... but if you wait in line you'll get stuck there for 30 mins. I'm sure this isn't every time but the day before? These things you should know. My massage therapist, Nickeisha, was very attentive and friendly however I was not impressed with the facilities. I didn't appear that they had a lot of business even though they said they had been very busy. We only ever saw one other customer, briefly. The relaxation room was rather sterile. I'm used to beautiful decorating and light refreshments supplied. For the price, I think they should be providing more than room temperature, shortie water bottles. My spa at home is in an urban area, and yet costs $50 less per hour and provides: cold cucumber- and fruit-infused water, a tea/coffee or chai drink station, a small cookie variety tray, granola dispenser and then they come in to check on you once you've gone into the relaxation room to see if you'd like to have a glass of wine or champagne. The room is decorated attractively with a Tv playing relaxing spa-like scenes and long flowing curtains that provide some sense of privacy and relaxation in the dimly lit room along with quality music. This relaxation room at Mt. Airy looked sterile, like a hospital room and no music. The music during my massage was laughably cheeseball. I made the therapist knowingly chuckle when I told her it sounded like a mix between music back in the day in the Kmart restaurant and let's call it bad "racy" videos with its corny synth beats. Surely you can afford ASCAP fees to pay for something decent?? Even AI could produce better. But don't be cheap. Support musicians. Pay the annual fee. Back in the locker room, the pickled smell of casino cigarette smoke lingers lightly in the air. What I mentioned it to staff, they said they're fully aware and basically there was nothing being done about it. When I'm coming for a health retreat, why would I want to fill my lungs with a carcinogen? Seriously. I understand that the Mount Airy casino is a different owner and your power may be limited on that front, but at minimum you have every ability to run multiple air purifiers so that your guests have a better experience. There's really no excuse for all of this other than poor management. I have my doubts that an owner or management team allows things like this to slide is ever going to read this review, so maybe this is just for those that care and need air purification, I strongly recommend the filter-free Smart air purifier Nuwave OxyPure ZERO

OMG--what a treasure…read more My wife and I are longtime devotees of wellness and spiritual retreats. Over the years we've stayed at Kripalu in Lenox, the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, Spirit Rock in California, Ann Wigmore in Puerto Rico, Hippocrates in West Palm Beach, 10,000 Waves in Santa Fe, Gurney's in Montauk, Pura Vida in Costa Rica, Dreams Tulum in Mexico, and Plum Village in France. We've been around the block. Just two hours from Brooklyn, Sanivan delivered some of the best food we've ever eaten--anywhere. Breakfasts of French toast, porridge, or eggs laid each morning by the hens in the backyard were followed by sumptuous vegetarian lunches and evening smoothies made with homemade cultured yogurt and berries. The result: eight pounds lost in eight days, without hunger or deprivation. Sanivan is run by Saniye and her husband Ivan, who have made it their life's work to transmit the wisdom of wellness through living it fully and sharing it generously. Saniye does all the cooking, and Ivan is a master ballroom dance teacher and gifted body practitioner, expert in shiatsu, deep tissue, reflexology, and Raindrop therapy. During our eight-day stay, we learned tango, salsa, and merengue, and each received extraordinary bodywork in a beautifully designed spa with radiant floors and heated massage tables. Each day Ivan foraged through the surrounding farm country, sourcing pristine ingredients for Saniye to prepare. Meals were taken beside a kitchen window overlooking a bird feeder alive with activity; during a snowstorm, two deer wandered right up to the glass to nibble fallen seed. Sullivan County revealed itself as a hidden wellness and farm-to-table oasis, with a burgeoning "hickster" scene centered nearby in Livingston Manor. At Sanivan, we ate astonishingly fresh, vibrant food while two feet of snow blanketed the ground. Even in the heart of the blizzard, a local farmer arrived with a sack of organic, greenhouse-grown sprouts--three varieties, still alive with vitality. In a strange and wonderful way, the experience felt more exotic than a tropical retreat. From 1910 to 1970, this area was a thriving Borscht Belt resort region--Hurleyville is where Mel Brooks got his start--before falling into decades of dormancy. Today, it's reemerging as a sophisticated hub for self-starters and adventurers. Two blocks from Sanivan, a Parisian woman and her partner, former Park Slope residents, have opened a gourmet café and are expanding into a farm-to-table restaurant. Nearby, a Kundalini yoga studio operates out of a picturesque red barn. Within 20 minutes are a constellation of small mountain towns experiencing a quiet-edge renaissance: Mountaindale, Smallwood, Cochecton, Parksville, Jeffersonville, White Lake, and Narrowsburg. Add to that a deep fly-fishing culture centered on the Beaverkill River in Roscoe and Livingston Manor, where the sport took hold in the late 1800s and drew generations of New Yorkers seeking the outdoors. As a history buff, I found the layered cultural and communal life of the region endlessly fascinating. Every moment felt exploratory and alive. We're Brooklynites always in search of rest and healing, and discovering that kind of joy so close to home felt like a gift. We'll be back in the spring to swim in the Sanivan saltwater pool and watch farm country wake from its long winter sleep. Addendum from Shoshana (Noel's wife): I'm in wholehearted agreement with everything shared above. I would only add how deeply appreciative we were of our time with Saniye and Ivan--both are genuinely curious, caring, and fully engaged in their respective paths of healing work. It was a joy to spend time together in thoughtful conversation, while also feeling their sensitivity to our need for quiet and alone time, especially during the gentle detox we experienced. Having both a sauna and a gym in the house was an enormous support, and we made grateful use of them throughout our stay.

Sanivan provides a wonderful and intimate retreat experience…read more The food (mostly consisting of fruits and vegetables from Sanivan's gardens, whole grains, and vegan proteins) is out of this world. The owners are not just accommodating, they are also trained in the healing arts. You will leave Sanivan feeling as though your body, mind and spirit have been transformed and rejuvenated. This is a three bedroom "bed and breakfast" experience, and includes three meals a day. The spa treatments, sauna, and cold plunge pool will invigorate and recharge your system. Give yourself the gift of a Sanivan retreat experience. You won't regret it .
