Beyond horrible service. I received the worst hair cut and color I have ever received. I was with a junior stylist and they cut my hair 4 inches shorter than I had requested, dyed it with a color that was way too light for my skin tone. I called the business after and was very, very upset and the manager simply kept repeating "come back in - the master stylist is here" after I was just there for 3 hours and received a TERRIBLE hairdo. The color is awful and the cut is like it was done with a razor blade and a bowl. I have random long pieces sticking out EVERYWHERE. After the 4th email I called the salon and said at this point I just want a refund. He offered again to "See the master stylist" at 1:00 PM on a Wednesday, as if I do not work. I even explained what was going on that I was barely even able to make the original appointment and the man told me "You are an adult. Figure it out - we do not offer refunds." What kind of service is that!?!?! In addition - he then followed up with "Well I have a lot going on in my life, too - but it's all about you right?" No sir, it is not about me. It is about the fact that I paid $220 for a cut and color and did not receive what I had asked for in any way, shape, or form. I do not have time to drop everything and come back in the salon. Give me my money back so I can go to people who know what the hell they are doing. read more

Alright so I went in for a trim and some highlights. Note I know little to nothing about hair! But I do know Grace was very helpful. I knew my hair was dry. So she made sure to hydrate it! It looked brand new and so refreshed! ADORED the service! Everyone was so kind. And quick to help! A very modernized environment that was welcoming all the same. I was offered beverages at my leisure multiple times might I add! And if you like pets! They were three adorable babies and one became my friend and sat on my lap while my hair dried and was washed. What blew my mind the most was it only took 1 hour! I've had less things done that took much longer! But it felt like hours had past bc it was such a rejuvenating experience. It's such a shame I'm leaving soon especially after finding this hidden gem. So do me a favor and see for yourself the amazing salon! Went for a haircut with Megan after a referral. I was pleasantly surprised by this Salon. Megan was perfect, gave me a great cut and I loved the shop's vibe, classy without being over-the-top glitzy or spa. I felt like a long time customer even though it was my first time there. I almost hate writing this review. Everywhere you look this salon has 5 stars. It is a nice salon, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I made an appt with a "top stylist" to get highlights. She did ok. I asked that she not use bleach since my hair lightens up easy with a high lift color. She did do that but she got carried away and I'll have a definite root area once it grows out, which I kind of wanted to avoid. I then made an appt for a cut. Got the cut last Friday. Its probably one of the worst hair cuts I've had in a long time. After $55+tip, my left side is longer than the right, my bang area is also pretty uneven. I just wanted layers all over framing my face. Basic hair cut. She didn't use any kind of a guideline around my face at all. This is like the most important area of a haircut, it's what we all look at. I didn't want any kind of thinning out. Just a basic straight haircut, no cutting into the ends is necessary. I'm 60, I don't need any thinning of my hair. I need blunt cutting. I'm pretty disappointed. Its hard to find someone that really know how to cut hair. If my hair was straight instead of curly my hair would look like crap. I won't go back. If thier top stylist does that kind of work what's the point. She's a nice girl but she needs to take some cutting classes or watch some online videos. People get caught up in the hype and trend instead of paying attention to quality. read more

I've been a longtime customer of owner David Schmidt who works wonders with the color of my hair - the best colorist in the area - but I can also say I would be comfortable visiting any stylist in the salon. I often do visit the other stylists for blow dry - night out or if I'm heading to a wedding and need my hair styled for the special occasion. Just moved to the area, and went to the salon based on yelp reviews-i am so glad I Did! Paige did a great job on my highlights, the color turned out beautiful! This is also the first time I had my hair styled at the salon and didn't come home and immediately fix it myself. The prices were reasonable, actually less than I was quoted on the phone (maybe because Paige is a newer stylist?) The dogs made this visit extra special, tho! Roxie and Molly are so well behaved and sweet, and it was so amazingly therapeutic to have Roxie sit in my lap snuggling while I got my foils put in! I'm glad I gave them a second chance!! After my incident, the salon staff reached out. Can I just say, that does not happen anymore. I was hesitant at first, I took a few days to think about it and I'm sooooooooooooooooo glad I went back. Again, I received great customer service. They were apologetic for the whole incident and did a great job fixing it (what could be fixed at that time). I have been back since and I love my hairstylist Meghan. She's so understanding and just in tune with what I want. I do want to make one correction from my first post. Color: After further research, the initial color comment I made was wrong. My goal is to ultimately have a gray/silver color with dark roots. Given that my natural hair color is dark brown, I have chosen a color that cannot be compared to regular hair dying (lights, mediums, darks) techniques. So, I write all this to say that DAVIS ANTHONY SALON did nothing wrong in their hair dying technique and I simply did not comprehend the intensity, time and work such color would take to be achieved. I'm scheduled to go back next month and I cannot wait. Overall, I would recommend this place because honestly, their customer service and staff won me over. read more

I've been coming to Salon David Anthony ever since I chopped all of my hair off to donate it to Locks of Love 3 years ago. The owners are very nice. The atmosphere is super friendly, very upbeat. Their salon is very modern and lively. My stylist Autumn I see every 10 weeks for a wash and trim (my usual). I've never had a maintenance trim ever but I love going and am sticking to them. They're ALL pros. I'm getting married next weekend and booked all of my maids for the special day. I highly recommend anyone to go here for a basic cut. I went in today for a haircut, and brought a picture of the style I wanted. My hair is down the middle of my back, so there was plenty to work with. After the cut, I walked out with NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE, it looked exactly like the style I had when I walked in. And my hair is still down the middle of my back. Did I even get ANY of the dead ends cut? (I haven't had a haircut in a year and a half). I now need to search for a new salon that can give me the style I was looking for, and spend MORE money! To the person named "Nick P" who posted about this salon below, just a few words of advice: You must be the one and only client who has ever made a negative comment towards SDA's dogs. These dogs are well mannered, calming, and are actual trained therapy dogs. SDA has numerous amounts of families visit their salon with kids and have regular clients who are special needs. If you had any bit of a negative experience there, then you're 1 in a million. This salon goes above and beyond the other salons in the area. They work effortlessly to achieve the right look their clients request. I've been going to them for 3 years and never seen their dogs act or look mangey- they work in a salon for Christ's sake, who would not take care of their own dogs hair in a hair-centered environment?!?
