I've been going to Hairology for years and have had consistently great experiences…read more I originally started going because my longtime stylist, Xiamara, moved there. She is truly the best. I've been going to her for years for cut and color, and at this point I've come to know her almost as a friend. She's so easy to talk to, and I always enjoy catching up with her -- we even bonded over the same trash TV shows. She just makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. When my schedule didn't line up with hers, I started seeing Alyssa, who is also amazing. She's very energetic, outgoing, and fun to spend time with, and she's extremely good at what she does. She really takes her time with you, and I love that she does the wash herself and she gives a great head/neck massage, which makes the whole experience even better. Most recently, I saw Brielle when I couldn't get in, and she was wonderful as well. She is so sweet and gentle. I actually found myself nodding off while she was washing and blow-drying my hair after a long day, which says a lot about how relaxing the experience was. I typically get a cut and single-process color, and I've also had highlights done there in the past. They keep all of your color information on record, which is really helpful because you can confidently see any stylist and still get consistent results. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any stylist here. Everyone is skilled, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The salon itself has a very homey, comfortable feel, and the prices are reasonable, which makes it even better. I always leave happy and highly recommend this salon.

A couple of days later I got a voicemail saying they refunded my haircut entirely! :o! I'm definetly in shock, they did not need to do this. This makes me appreciate this business more seeing how high customer satisfaction is as a priority for them. _____________ First time visiting this salon. It's a nice space, very clean, and comfortable. The service went checking in was okay. I was offered coffee and never received it. I made a last minute appointment and was accommodated. When I arrived I noticed there was a sign for new clients for $38, which got me really excited. I didn't learn until after my haircut that I didn't qualify since it was only for certain stylists. That took away all my excitement from the haircut... I'm not a fan of these types of signs, they give you a false sense of something to look forward to. My stylist was Nicole. I really liked her, she talked me through the haircut and was very friendly. We decided to keep my hair long with layers. Even though this is what we decided on, I feel as though there is something left to be desired. I'm not sure what. My hair feels lighter and shinier, but it looks the same?

I had to go out and buy hair growth products I hope it works so I don't have to buy extensions. Won't be revisiting. Vibe was ok. Establishment is smaller than other places. I Heard great things from a friend recommending this place maybe I just got a less knowledgeable person or someone who is to cut happy that doesn't know how to do layers.

I went here about a year and a half ago. Absolutely love this place and the people who work here…read more They were friendly and really listen to your needs. I came here because of a Groupon I found which included a wash, deep conditioning, cut and blow dry for $29. I asked the lady for layers that will give my hair volume and oomph, a face frame and soft cut with no blunt ends. She delivered and much more!! The hairdresser measured with her fingers if that's the length I want before actually cutting! I honestly forgot her name but she was great. I would recommend this place. Without a Groupon, wash cut and blow dry would cost $45 which is pretty affordable. I walked out super happy and IN LOVE with my hair! The only reason I have not returned is because this place is closed Sunday and Monday (the only two days I'm available). *** I decided to review this salon now bc I went to Cuts For You in Rockaway recently and was so unhappy and unsatisfied with my cut that I regretted not going to Salon Deja Vu!

I had my first ever balayage appointment yesterday with Carolyn, and I must say, Carolyn did an great job matching the color to exactly what I wanted.'The color I selected is a reddish brown with a slight hint of copper. It looks super vibrant yet natural, and gives the extra pop I was looking for. Although I am trying to grow my hair out at the moment, Carolyn also gave me excellent cut my visit, which complemented my curly hair very well. Also, the salon took diligent measures to make sure everyone is safe by taking a temperature check and having clients complete a questionnaire related to COVID.
