On the phone I heard $23.00 for the shampoo + blow dry so it was a pretty fair price for at least give a try for my Sunday afternoon beauty emergency :) Arriving at the place, Grace received me with a friendly smile and started right away.This is a huge plus for me to have a professional working right on time. Grace did a fantastic job on my hair (when I say it's long I am talking about hair below the waist) and pretty quick as well. The price remained the same as she said on the phone so another bonus (Multiple places when you have long hair will change the price they tell you on the phone, saying that your hair is longer than they thought...). Grace is a true gem, I am really glad I have found her. I returned there twice already - always great service. The only reason why I do not rate it 5 stars is because the salon is a REAL simple place, the furniture is dated and it needs some effort with the cleanliness. But Grace service is absolutely 5 star quality- I really recommend her service. PS - She is off on Mondays.

That took away all my excitement from the haircut... I'm not a fan of these types of signs, they give you a false sense of something to look forward to. My stylist was Nicole. So this is going to be a very mixed review-…read more I've been going to the Prohaircutters in the Rockaway Mall for 6+ years now because I had found a guy who do a flattop and not screw it up. 6+ years Elliot cut my hair and now he's gone-he's back in NYC because coming to Rockaway was a pain in the neck-especially from what I saw of the way the manger and the assistant manager treated the guy. I found a new guy, Caesar, and he does a great job on my hair and my son's hair. So because I dont have to find a new barber, I'll keep going-for a while at least. What a crock of crap. They dont want to take credit cards-fine, then don't, but don't give me this crap about not being able to put a tip on the card...cheap, nickel and dime crap right there. I've been going to her for years for cut and color, and at this point I've come to know her almost as a friend. She's so easy to talk to, and I always enjoy catching up with her -- we even bonded over the same trash TV shows. She just makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. When my schedule didn't line up with hers, I started seeing Alyssa, who is also amazing. She's very energetic, outgoing, and fun to spend time with, and she's extremely good at what she does. She really takes her time with you, and I love that she does the wash herself and she gives a great head/neck massage, which makes the whole experience even better. Most recently, I saw Brielle when I couldn't get in, and she was wonderful as well. She is so sweet and gentle. I actually found myself nodding off while she was washing and blow-drying my hair after a long day, which says a lot about how relaxing the experience was. I typically get a cut and single-process color, and I've also had highlights done there in the past. They keep all of your color information on record, which is really helpful because you can confidently see any stylist and still get consistent results. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any stylist here. Everyone is skilled, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The salon itself has a very homey, comfortable feel, and the prices are reasonable, which makes it even better. I always leave happy and highly recommend this salon.
