While on the highway, turn into the Spa parking lot BEFORE Sogo Japanese restaurant, or you will easily miss the salon. The front door is the diagonal door located on the left hand side. Any other door won't allow access in, and the stylists can't hear you knocking on the window as I had done. I got my usual balayage service and it came out wonderfully! Lynn is so talented, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. I'm not usually chatty Kathy otherwise, but she makes it easy to become that while in her chair. The space itself if clean and spacious, playing the latest music tracks which creates a fun environment. They have a candy bar, and I hear they serve mimosas also. I will definitely be back. Just to advise about the drama of the other 1 star reviewers: it was negative 0 in NJ the week they had that incident. I heard that the pipes froze and broke hence all the water and the madness that ensued. I cannot attest to anyone's attitude or lack of caring however, anyone reading this should be concerned only with the results of the stylist work.

First of all, the outside of the place is somewhere you would easily overlook when driving by, and…read moreSHOULD. Some of the stylists are talented, but it isn't worth dealing with the owner, Ricky. After the salon entrance started flooding and water poured on the ATM machine & near the computers, which by the way - you should be grateful that ceiling tiles didn't fall on your customers and that a dangerous fire didn't erupt - customers had to drive with full foils in their hair to another salon for their expensive services to be completed. Fortunately no one got into a car accident while driving with foils in their faces. When the owner was called about the situation, he was confrontational and obnoxious. He is unprofessional and a disgrace of a business owner. No apologies, no concern or regard for others. He reluctantly provided a partial refund after bringing the customer to tears from screaming at her. Clearly the owner is lacking in both the intelligence and refinement departments. I personally went into Atelier Salon and left my phone number SPECIFICALLY FOR RICKY and told the girl at the front desk I needed to speak with the OWNER about recent service. Of course Ricky did not call me because he is spineless coward who is obviously running a circus. Instead, he had a female manager reach out to me who acknowledged in her voice-mail that I wanted to speak to Ricky, not anyone else. Cowardice at best. Ceilings falling down are not an act of God (Ricky's words) - they are an act of negligence. Further, the majority of the reviews on here are a gross misrepresentation of the salon and actual service. At least 5 of the people who left glowing reviews are personal friends or family of one of the stylists here, which you will quickly discover if you look up their names on Facebook. Biased opinions are not an accurate indication of what your experience will be at Atelier. I will not name the stylist I am speaking of because I, unlike you, am not a bully. I will say shame on you, as a representative of Atelier, for endorsing the abusive behavior of your boss and making your friends write reviews in your defense when you had no involvement in the situation whatsoever (the review was solely about Ricky). If you are truly such a talented stylist then your reputation should not be tarnished by issues with your boss if you STAY OUT OF IT. Worse comes to worst you can go back to doing hair in your basement behind your boss's back as was always your modus operandi at your last job, which I'm sure you were fired from. Go to Atelier Salon if you want to support men who berate women. Actually don't go to Atelier. Go to Depasquale, All Styling Studio, Bliss, Eutopia, 7West, literally anywhere else. P.S. - the owner's response to Kristin's review on Google is a JOKE. She said Kelly did a wonderful job on her hair more than once. Clearly your reading comprehension is as substandard as your customer service. P.S. #2 - Glad you were taking videos andd pictures of the leaking ceiling instead of ensuring the safety and comfort of your customers. P.S. - #3 Kristin's review had nothing to do with any stylists, including the one that did her hair, or any other employees. It was solely about how unprofessional Ricky is. Your responses in Google are reinforcing this opinion and proving it as fact.

Being an out of towner, I was skeptical at first, but boy was I glad they recommended The Arrangement!! From the first phone call, I felt comfortable making the appointment. Judy was so accommodating; she sat me in her chair, looked at the pictures I brought, and made recommendations for the next day. Got exactly the style that I wanted and many compliments to boot!! Jessica did my makeup which lasted the entire evening (literally through sweat and tears!) She took the time to listen to my concerns for a natural look with a smokey eye. Many thanks to Judy and Jessica for their personal attention and making me feel like a million dollars at my son's wedding! Sincerely, Maria W. - Havertown, PA

Buyer Beware. Diwali DISAPPOINTMENT!…read more The owner is absolutely INCONSIDERATE and UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL in his business practices. You may even be SCOLDED like me over any minor issue. He will keep changing prices for exact same service provided previously/ routinely. Even if you confirm price each time you walk in to be sure, he'll still try to raise price AFTER service is complete (so customer feels wrongfully compelled). This evening I confirmed price for hair and henna as soon as I reached, because of past experiences. We verbally agreed. After we did my face waxing, he asked if I wasn't in a hurry, if I could wait while they do threading and waxing for a customer who suddenly came SEVERAL minutes AFTER me. I nicely agreed but emphasized it was my Birthday and Diwali on the same day (11/4) this year so please be sure to take care of me too, as my hair and henna were still pending (each usually takes about 7 minutes). Apparently the other customer was a greater profit so ETHICS went out the window when my turn came. After I waited ~30m, the owner suddenly increased the price for my hair from verbally agreed upon $12 to $20 - without any good / valid reason. I was disappointed but still wanted the service given my Birthday and Diwali so nicely offered $15 just because other salon appts wouldn't be available in time for my Diwali party the very next night. He very rudely and loudly said NO, the price was now $20 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, even though I waited and even though he agreed $12 just ~30m earlier. So I again nicely said let's just do my henna and he refused. He said it was too late, they suddenly wanted to close. I had pointed out that I was speaking at a normal volume and he had been speaking at a needlessly high volume / aka yelling. He says because "I am pissed off." Sorry but there is NO reason to raise your voice to a regular customer, who was being perfectly calm, especially over a mere $5. And he refused to do my henna though I started to tear up because I had told him henna is a way of celebrating given my Birthday blessedly falls on Diwali. The beautician Deepali even looked sadly at me because the owner was scolding me over $5 and refusing me the very quick services after I had waited for the other (apparently more profitable) customer. So there you have it - despite all, there is not even an IOTA of customer service, professionalism, or even making a young lady's Diwali and Birthday a happy one. The very least they could do was complete the henna service since the design and price were not at all in question. I had not at all raised my voice so am not ever accepting being yelled at by a BUSINESS OWNER. You need to be more PROFESSIONAL than that, have BASIC BUSINESS ETHICS & minimal DECENCY. You should not treat your customers SO VERY POORLY because one day you will run out of customers to cheat and abuse. Especially with so many other salons in the area with competitive service such as Bindiya and Payal also in Parsippany. Forget customer is always right, customers even get scolded here.

The staff here are very friendly and always greeted me whenever I walk in. The wait is never too long and usually, I'll get a seat immediately as a walk in. I read a lot of reviews and I agree that it is a bit unsanitary-- the staff don't wash their hands before threading your brows nor do they use gloves. The thread can also be a bit dusty since it just sits there on the table. However I never had any issues with my face breaking out, but that is also because my skin doesn't really break out. I went a few days ago because my eyebrows were a bit uneven in length and one brow is also higher than the other brow. I grew out my eyebrows so that the lady can reshape it so that it is more even. I informed the lady about my eyebrow situation and she assured me that she can fix it. Although she made the eyebrows more even in length, one eyebrow is still higher than the other. Although it's pretty cheap getting your eyebrows threaded at this place, I think it's also time for me to tryout other places too.
