Aveda color - which stylists are required to use - are terrible. Fade very quickly! For over a year, I tried. I got foils, all-over color, color boosters, and every other product they offered to help with red shades, and nothing did. Total waste of money. Every other product I've ever had at any salon for the past 35 years - 30 years in Naples - is better than Aveda. Which is a bummer, because the stylist was fine. She provided a competent cut, offered great ideas, was enthusiastic and helpful. Her skills, however, can't overcome the weakness of the products required. I'll never go to another salon using Aveda and can't recommend this one. read more

Great cut by Torrence. Scalp and hand massage nice touches. Salon was pretty loud/hectic feeling because it was so busy, in case you're looking for a calmer vibe. Also, I was supposed to get $20 off the cut because it was my first visit but that didn't happen unfortunately. read more

All I can say is yes yes yes!!! Kaysie, or as I lovingly refer to her as... My hair fairy! Is absolutely amazing! She's just the sweetest young lady and really knows her way around everything from cuts, color highlights, low lights.. And anything else you can imagine! I really can't say enough about how the vibe of this place is just so peaceful and calm , I absolutely love the licorice that they serve, even though I hate licorice! The ladies at the desk when you check out or just so sweet . They are not pushy to book your next appointment, although they do offer it . I really hope that they keep their standards as high as they are right now so that I can continue good to go . I had an appointment yesterday with Torrance for a haircut. This time I was in a hurry due to an important medical appointment scheduled for one hour later. Torrance greeted me within a few minutes. She washed and cut my hair (I didn't want a blow dry) in 1/2 hour and I was on my way. The cut is excellent. I appreciate her willingness to efficiently and expertly take care of me. Next time I will be able to take advantage of the scalp massage, hot towels and luxury touches that are part of the Salon Bamboo experience. I highly recommend Torrance and this Salon. read more

Karen did a fabulous job coloring my hair. She was friendly and everything was special from the Vaseline she used to keep the color off my skin, to the plastic covers for my reading glasses to the hot towel after conditioner and a wonderful blow dry, I couldn't have been more pleased. Took my daughter here for color and a haircut. They absolutely destroyed her hair. Left the bleach treatment in for almost 2 hours and half of her hair actually fell out, the rest was fried. She's been traumatized for months after this and the salon has done absolutely nothing to make things right. Do not even drive by this place. read more

Explain this haircut to me. Amber took at least 4 inches off the back of my hair. I made it very clear that I did not want any length off. Now there is a big chunk of hair missing with no way to blend or correct it. Its going to take a year to grow this back. A photo can be seen on my Facebook page 'Vincene Ruggiero Lewis". At first I accepted restitution from the owner for the haircut of $50. And she offered a complimentary facial. After much consideration I have decided to return the check and refuse the facial. To upset to contemplate ever going there again. October 9,2017 Its been one year since Amber ruined my long hair by cutting a huge chunk out of the back. It has almost grown back completely but has taken a year. No amount of restitution could make me fee better about this place or the stylist. I will always remember that sinking, helpless feeling. I got my hair done here back in March, I was new to the area and really needed to get my roots done. I also asked if we could make my hair a touch lighter. I made it very clear how much I care for the integrity of my hair rather than the way it looks. I asked Gracie the hair stylist I received if we could achieve the look without any issues. She said yes. Fast forwarding things, at the end of it 2/3 of my hair was fried off, bleach lied in my hair for 1 1/2 hours, and the quality of my hair is terrible. It has been months and I have been so beyond traumatized. Other Hair stylists I have seen have encouraged me to say something for how bad they have screwed up my hair. A hair stylist told me that for something like this someone in their salon would've been fired on the spot. Now I have extremely damaged hair and am so incredibly upset. I am providing a photograph of the hair stylist who did this to me. Do not recommend what so ever, the biggest regret I have. STILL Paid about 400$ for this, got no discount what so ever. Would avoid this at all costs. Horrendous. read more

I've been Amber's client at Salon bamboo for almost 2 years. I came in there after having a couple bad experiences in Naples and on her first try she gave me perfect color and a perfect haircut. I've been going there ever since. I get compliments on my hair all the time. She does a great color and highlights, and then whenever I need a trim she does a beautiful job with that. I have also introduced my mom and my aunt to Amber, and they both see her too. Amber is incredibly talented with color. She's been able to mix everything that I've asked for. I'm always happy with the results and the employees are super friendly and accommodating. Lovely salon, friendly and enthusiastic reception. I was in desperate need of a shape up/haircut after 7 months of growing it out and was visiting from out of town, so I had no idea where to go or who to even ask for. I called and asked for someone who would be good at keeping my hair long but also giving it some bounce. Carrie was amazing. I went to another salon prior to my visit here that destroyed my hair. It was very damaged and had this bronzy, gold color halfway throughout. Carrie was very thorough in explaining what corrective options were available. I went with her suggestion and it turned out great! She evened out the color and I got a conditioning treatment that left my hair looking healthier right away. I have also gotten a facial here which I enjoyed.
