Before she started, I asked Valorie which brand she uses. Fortunately she uses Design Essentials, it is the same brand that was used for my last Keratin treatment and it does not contain formaldehyde. I shared more about my hair, that it's thick but fragile and needs to be nurtured like a baby. She made sure my edges look nice without applying edge control, told me which products to use and to avoid gel! I am grateful for her experience. It was nostalgic and reminded me of the amazing service that I got at the salons back in the day. Running a proper hair salon is a lost art, this is one of the salons that still has it right.
