It's really a mom and pop shop, and it shows. I get the feeling that Kim does most of the cutting. There was one other customer there, and she was taking a while longer than what Kim had anticipated, so Kim had to go back and forth between my daughter (haircut) and the other lady (perm). I wasn't in a hurry, so I didn't mind, but I can imagine that it would be frustrating for someone else. Also, people kept coming in and asking if she had time, so she must have a solid base of clients. They are just a little bit disorganized. The haircut turned out well, btw. We made an appointment, got there 5 minutes early and received no direction. There was two people waiting, who they took before us, by no problem even though we have an appointment and it was an expressed that they were running behind and that there would be a little bit of a wait, however then people walked in after us and after waiting 25 minutes for told to come back before us. I spoke up because I'm not waiting, I've made an appointment that is the purpose of having an appointment, and the person that brought us back literally did the worst job I have ever seen a hair stylist doing my life. She tried to say my son's hair was done, when it was lopsided, I had to tell her she needed to clip over his ears, she left him with one sideburn and shaved off the other one. This is the end result. It was during the $#|+storm of COVID-19 when most businesses were buttoned up and personal services were hard to find. I don't remember the lady's name but I do remember the terrific haircut that she gave me under that pavilion in their parking lot. I was short of money because I couldn't work, so a dollar tip is all I could manage. She treated it like a ten-dollar tip and I decided to make them my go-to salon. I've since gotten many haircuts there and have never been disappointed. I can't account for the negative reviews that some other people have left. Maybe they didn't communicate their wishes very well. The work is always professional and the prices are very reasonable.
