Having gone to another Great Clips previously and been underwhelmed, I didn't expect this one to be any better. I was hard up for a haircut and I was there, so I decided to give them a shot. It was during the $#|+storm of COVID-19 when most businesses were buttoned up and personal services were hard to find. I don't remember the lady's name but I do remember the terrific haircut that she gave me under that pavilion in their parking lot. I was short of money because I couldn't work, so a dollar tip is all I could manage. She treated it like a ten-dollar tip and I decided to make them my go-to salon. I've since gotten many haircuts there and have never been disappointed. I can't account for the negative reviews that some other people have left. Maybe they didn't communicate their wishes very well. The work is always professional and the prices are very reasonable. read more

4/2/2026 - sent a friend in to this place while I waited outside. We did the on line appointment and said in 18 minutes. Received a text to come in. About 15 minutes he was out. Clean and busy inside. Nice service. $26 for a haircut. He did the $12.99 March Madness coupon and gave a tip. He would go here again. Plenty of parking. It's next to a Vons. read more

So I go in for my usual trim. They even keep notes on what I get, I've been there so many times. This time there was definitely someone new there, just had a different look to her. She decided she wanted to be the one that cut my hair. Strangely she didn't act like she was familiar with what I usually get which was unusual sense I usually get someone different each time anyway. I had even brought up the fact that they usually have notes on what I get so they don't really have to ask me much. This girl however did but at the same time kind of acted like she wasn't really understanding but it seemed at one point that she did so I differed to her expertise. She immediately started to give me a mullet which I most definitely never asked for. Long story short, someone else noticed the argument that began to take place and stepped in to take over. Only way to fix it was to go high and tight which I was ok with since I was planning on going there sooner or later anyway. This girl that screwed this up however had shaved off one side of my head as if it were somehow obvious that that's what I'd intended. She refused to take any accountability for any of it; even accused me of getting "short" with her all because , I suppose , at one point when I was still trying to clarify to her what I wanted I did stress a certain point to her, but absolutely no anger was involved whatsoever (or I wouldn't have let her cut my hair at all, so too bad I wasn't angry). She just made one excuse after another before her manager, I assume, stepped in to take over. It finally did occur to me that since Las Colinas is in the area that they were perhaps giving a recently released inmate a shot at getting back into the real world since this move was the same kind of shenanigans that are known to happen from time to time when these usually not so very rehabilitated s#*@ birds get released. So, if you're interested in a mullet you didn't ask for then I definitely recommend giving them a try. Why not, what could go wrong? read more

Really great service from Carol! I downloaded their App and was able to check in for our haircut and save our place in line! It was super easy and we were able to be seen immediately upon walking in. The location is right next to Baskin Robbins with plenty of parking right up front. The salon was very clean and everything ran efficiently. Carol was very patient with my teenager, listened intently to what was requested, and remembered stuff we'd mentioned that I'd even forgotten through the process. It was so refreshing to have real attention throughout the cut. She continued to check in throughout the process to ensure we were happy along the way. No, just No! I went in and asked for just 2 inches off the back(straight across) and trim my bangs. Mom's Funeral was the next day. Got home had to try and fix my bangs(Crooked). She had said after trimming and done, "oh you have a Cowlick?" She didn't even measure the length in front like the usually do. Thought about that later, I was stressed then. The next night, I slept with braids because my hair tangles...there are pieces sticking out all over?!! I asked my husband who doesn't notice anything and he was like "oh yeah" and "wow", that's not good. I tip well. Wanted to go back, but No. Stay away from the lady who says her name sounds like a "flower". $22. plus $6. tip is a lot for what my husband could have done. read more

I was apprehensive about going to Great Clips because I'm very picky. I don't not tried it because I had a coupon and was pleasantly surprised at the great haircut I got. I've been going to Great Clips about the last six months. As we are traveling the country in our RV it's nice that they can keep records of your visit with notes on how you like you hair to be cut. Well, at least that's the way it's supposed to work...... The fellow that was TRYING to check customers in shouldn't be doing this job. He's nice enough but his English language skills aren't the greatest. Nor ar his typing skills. He never did get my info straight. One of the stylists tried but even she was unsuccessful. I'm not sure why. I've checked in from Northern Washington to Portland, Oregon to Yuma City, California and never had an issue. Strange. But, back to my hair stylist. I'd read a review where a mother complained about this gal being rough when she cut her daughter's hair. Rough is an understatement! I've NEVER had my hair jerked like that before. Now for me it didn't hurt bad, but I can well imagine what that felt like to a five year old. I know it was the same gal although I don't recall her name. It was something like Vima maybe. She sounded Eastern European to me, not that that matters. But she needs to have a few lessons and tug a little easier on folks hair. I'm glad we're traveling. Horrible haircuts and horrible customer service! I have been there twice and recieved a horrible haircut. Believe me that it doesn't take much to make me happy. I could have gotten a bowl, put it on my head and done a better job than these guys. I decided a couple weeks later to try it again with a different stylist and guess what. . . .HORRIBLE! I have been a customer of great clips for years but after this experience I won't go near another one. To top it all off I decided to inform the manager about their difficiencies and it made me angrier to find out the manager doesn't really care either. I have been taking my boys in here for the last few years, they typically see Cassie. Recently due to Covid closures I had a really bad experience at another salon and received a horrible haircut. I decided to deal with it for a few weeks but finally I couldn't handle it anymore and I decided to go see Cassie. I went into the salon yesterday and had Cassie attempt to fix my bad haircut. Not only did she fix my hair but she also recommended a deep conditioning treatment that worked like a charm. The salon was extremely clean/sanitary and I had NO wait. Not to mention she was very patient and kind to my little man. I can't say much for the other stylists but I would definitely recommend Cassie. read more

I was a walk-in. I usually cut my own hair, but once a year I go to a salon reluctantly to have someone 'clean it up.' I say reluctantly, because I'm never happy with the result, no matter how pricey. I passed Great Clips on my way to Vons and thought I would rather experiment this time at a less costly place. A gal by the name of Norma cut my hair and took total control of my cleanup. At the end, I opened my eyes to total happiness. My husband and sister were quite relieved with the results when I showed them. They said "finally your hair looks great." My husband was ecstatic! My hair has 3 personalities. It's been a work in progress my entire life. At 58 years old, I finally have my forever hair style given by 'No None-sense Take-Charge Norma!' Where have you been all of my life?? Thank you Norma! Terrible! I took my son in to get a haircut because I had a coupon and I figured his cut is so easy you can't mess it up. Well I was wrong... These ladies seriously have NO idea what they are doing. I asked for a 1 faded up and blended and just to trim up the top. There is no fade and she did not blend it at all. It seriously looks like she put a bowl on his head and cut around it. I hate to leave this review because the woman who cut my hair was so nice, but this was really bad. I am a woman used to having short hair. I like to shave the sides and keep the top long and sweep it up in the front almost like a quiff. My favorite, Lauren, no longer works there but im wasn't going to refuse another stylist when I needed a haircut. So I ended up with colleen. She was super nice and had notes from my last visit so naturally i didn't think it would go bad. I told her I wanted like a zero on the sides(my hair grows back fast and I cant afford to come in regularly) but I wanted the top long enough to style it. I showed her before she started cutting that I wanted at LEAST 2 1/2 inches still on my head. By the end it I have less than an inch left. Its so short I cant even style it I feel like a Marine in bootcamp. I dont understand how this happened when i literally showed her how much I wanted left, I was pretty clear. I feel like she should've just shaved my head at that point. Not to mention she was rough that the clipper hurt as she shaved me and I have multiple marks. I thanked her, went to my car and cried. I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. I absolutely dislike this place with a passion. I came here for 3 years, and the first 2 1/2 years were amazing. For the last 6 months it has just been awful. I kept giving them more and more chances yet every time I go there I leave disappointed. I'm finally learning my lesson and never going back. I don't like doing negative reviews, so I'm going to hope this will be taken by the gal who cut my daughters hair as a learning tool and not just to trash her because that's really not the intent. First, we had 4 of my family members getting hair cuts today and thus had three different gals cut hair for us. Two, Sabrina and Lauren, of them were great, the third, Desiree, not so much. Again, I hope this will be used to learn from and not tear down. Desiree trash talked my wife and daughter about the "chlorine damage" to my daughters hair, not realizing it was the sunscreen left in after her soccer game. She didn't ask any questions or engage my daughter at all, only told my wife and daughter that she'd have to shave my 9 year old daughters hair because it was too damaged to do anything with. She didn't wash, rinse, or put anything in my daughters hair to make it easier to brush. The other hair stylists did amazing jobs with myself, my son and my other daughter, wetting our hair, styling it, doing everything you would expect from a haircut. They get 5 stars. Desiree, hardly cut the tips of my daughters hair, and put it back in the pony tail it was in when my daughter got there.... if we do go back there, we won't be using Desiree. read more

I have gone here three times. The first time was for a bob. The girl put my hair behind my ears and cut it that way. Really? The second time the girl did a stacked bob and the right side was longer than the left side. Then yesterday I asked for a layered or stacked bob but the lady who I have seen there before (so she's not new), layered it so that the top section is 2 inches higher than the bottom section. Deziree was absolutely horrid. My niece left in tears because the lady was very rough, abusive and mean. Basically threatened her that she would have to shave her head because her hair is "so damaged". Do not let her touch your head or your child's head. She never once asked if we wanted to pay more to have her wash the hair to make it easier. Just belittled and berated and complained that the hair was so bad. I went in for a quick hair trim with my cousin who also needed a haircut. I have medium-length hair and the split ends were getting too unruly. So I figured for $15 bucks I could at least get an inch or two cut off, no problem. Unfortunately, the first stylist had obviously NO experience in cutting curly hair. She spent less than three minutes on the whole appointment. She cut my hair terribly and it was so uneven I had to go back and complain after checking my hair in the car mirror. Fortunately, another employee was nice and offered to fix it for free. She had cut my cousin's hair earlier and done a great job! She was also very friendly and knew to wet curly hair before hacking away. So I have a wonderful, even haircut and am a happy customer. The first stylist was terrible and unfriendly, so zero stars for her. The second stylist (Julia, I think her name was) gets five stars for being so friendly and fixing a mistake that wasn't even hers! Also, I forgot my headband when I left and she ran it out to me so I wouldn't lose it. Thanks, Julia! :) This evens out to three stars for the whole establishment.
