The whole family goes to this location. All the ladies are very experienced and versatile. Easy to make reservations, great service and we've been happy - except my teenage daughter read more

I made an appointment and I arrived 15 minutes early. I sat there and watched while another family walked in after and the first available person took them. I really felt like a valued first-time customer. Dont worry folks, I wont return and mess up your day. The owner replied that the people before me ALSO had an appointment. Of course they did. Honor your customers time or let people know what's going on so they don't feel ignored. Good luck lady. read more

All the hairdressers I've visited have been friendly and professional. I recommend Nadia, the manager/owner(?). She listened carefully to me and gave me just what I wanted, nothing fancy. The whole facility was spotless and tidy. Don't forget to ask for the senior discount if you're over 60. read more

I love this fantastic Sams in Santee. The ladies are all wonderful awesome people. Seriously a great bunch of women. I go to Sherri every 9 weeks. Sherri works on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. read more

Julie at Fantastic Sam's Santee has consistently done an amazing job on my husband's hair for the past year. First & foremost she listens & each time he's changed his style (longer/shorter etc) she makes excellent suggestions. He has 2 cowlicks & she's always mindful of these. She's the only person he trusted to cut his hair for our daughter's recent wedding (photo). In addition to being very nice & personable, Julie continually checks in with him during the process to make sure he's good with the length, style, etc. Thanks so much, Julie. He'll be back! read more

My daughter and I both had appointments for cut and color. Our stylist Jenn was amazing. Super friendly and gave great suggestions and recommendations for both of us. We both get compliments on our hair often. We will definitely be going back. read more

I had a great experience getting a haircut and wash with Jennifer! She is super personable, listened to all my hair concerns, and made sure I left with exactly what I wanted. The salon is clean, well organized, and a bonus was being greeted as soon as I walked into the door. I booked an appointment online the night before and that was really easy too, and the system was simple to navigate. Super bonus is that they have a punch card rewards system. This is by far my favorite Fantastic Sams! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

I have yet to get my haircut here but that won't be the case for very much longer for the mere fact that when I walked by the other day and looked in the window because I heard it was under new management, I swear all the employees smiled and waved at me. Seems to be a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, Not to mention how nicely the place has cleaned up! Can't wait to be their next usual customer!! read more

Great color and cut. Switched to this place from a ridiculously expensive and not good place across town. Finally a place I can trust to do a great job every time. read more

Julie is the best! It is hard to find someone who can do a good curly haircut at a decent price point, and she definitely delivers. I enjoyed how interactive and collaborative she is as a stylist, giving me recommendations on hair products and how to style my new look. I will definitely be back in the future. read more

Amazing service and quality. Jenn cuts my hair and does it perfectly every time! I only go to Fantastic Sams now for haircuts because every other place takes way to much off or are crazy expensive. Absolutely recommend!! read more

Great services. Had my hair colored by Julie. She was super nice as was the rest of the staff.

Jenn cut both my daughter's hair and did a great job. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the salon was clean.

Great service! My son got a haircut by Jen- she was great and helped him figure out the best cut for his curly hair

My daughter got her first haircut here and she loved it! She got a wash and trim and was so happy.

Ask for Julie or cherie at this location. They both did a great job on my hair. I am an ex hairdresser and can tell they both have talent. Thanks for the great haircut each time I came there. read more

I saw Nadia post on Facebook and followed up for appointment. I had a bob cut and wanted a pixie. Told Nadia what I wanted, showed her the picture. She understood the texture of my hair and what I needed. Loved the hair cut, it was exactly as I had asked for. My husband also got his hair cut after that and he was just as satisfied. Will definitely return. Thanks Nadia. read more

Took all 3 of my kids here and Julie B. Was great! Super job and we will book again. Thank you

Alexis is great! She is very professional, attentive, friendly and listens. Alexis was able to give me some hair tips, cut and recommend some products for my hair. She really took to listen to me and appreciated that I took a picture on the style I wanted. I love my haircut thanks to Alexis! Thank you!! read more

Terrible. I went for a trim and didn't expect much but the girl didn't even wet my hair or ask how I parted my hair. She just brushed it down with a comb and trimmed it straight across my back. She didn't even pull the hairs out that were tucked behind my ears. I was only in the chair for about 4 minutes. Worst $30 I've ever spent, I had to go home and trim up all the mistakes and long pieces of hair myself. You'd be better off at Supercuts read more

It had been 8 months since I had my hair cut and it was a disaster! Sonia was so nice and welcoming! She made sure I was comfortable chopping off a lot of it and she added wonderful layers! I've asked previous stylists at an entirely different salon to put in a lot of shorter layers and they never do. Sonia listened to everything I wanted and made magic happen. I will definitely be going back! And sooner than 8 months this time. read more

Nadia once again outdid herself with my hair. I love my haircut. Thank you Nadia read more

I received a very nice hair cut and wash from Shantel. I had to wait a bit given some ladies were getting some color put into their hair. After waiting for about 30 minutes, Shantel invited me to sit at her station where she proceeded to ask me a few question and proceeded to cut my hair. She was very polite and gentle through my haircut. The gave me a tight number two on the sides and back with a very good trim on the top. It was a very nice haircut which also included a shampoo and wash. The salon was well kept and the employees were nice. The haircut and wash normally cost $20 but with a mailer I receive from FSHS, the haircut cost $10. read more

I am writing this review after my 5th time visiting this fantastic Sam's location, and by far it has been my favorite salon. It is always so clean and the employees are all so professional. They have been able to do whatever service I needed from a simple cut and blow out to the balayage coloring. I go to Nadia and she has always done an amazing job. She did my balayage color treatment before my every event including my wedding and the blending was exceptional and the color came out beautiful in my pictures. The picture I've included is after the coloring and a blow out. My hair has no damage after the coloring, and she made it very smooth in the styling which is very difficult with my hair since it is very very curly. I highly recommend this location and especially Nadia. read more

First time and won't come back. I called in Advance and was given an appt two hours later. I got my hair cut by Rezan. She asked me if I wanted a shampoo, I was under the impression all Fantastic Sam's' include the shampoo with the haircut. She asked me to wait at the hair wash station (without putting hair cutting cape on me) she started washing my hair and got water and shampoo on my face and all over my clothes. We agreed on cutting 1 inch off of my hair. It ended up being way more. There was no communication in between. I feel like she went rogue at some point and started cutting more hair than agreed and for $30. Way too much. I could have just cut it and wrecked it myself. Edit: to the owner. If you were overbooked you shouldn't have booked my sister and I. My sister got service from someone else and she got a cape put on her prior to her shampooing. I Do NOT have thick hair. This is the same comment Rezan made prior to shampooing me. I told her "I do not have thick hair. It is long, yes. But not thick". I disagree with the cutting extra for it not to look choppy. My hair is uneven now. The left side is longer than the right. Your apology is not needed. Train or hire better staff. read more

The stylist was friendly and professional but the pricing is expensive. I was charged $90 for color ($80 for short hair) and $25 for shampoo and cut. Blow dry is extra which I feel should have been included in the color fee. I have never paid this much even at my former salon with a stylist with 30 yrs experience. read more

Thank you for investigating, however it was not stated the wait to be 5 to 10 minutes or we would have stayed. What upset us was the uncaring attitude and shoulder shrugs of your staff. They could care less that a customers appt. was mixed up. Having been in Customer Service and Mgt for my entire career. I assure you that I would never have allowed my customer to have felt that way. Let alone simply to respond with a I asked my staff, and hope you found somewhere else to go. Your reply speaks volumes of how you feel about your customers. Sorry not sorry read more

Amber is awesome at the Santee Fantastic Sam's!!! She's so friendly and accommodating I just wanted a trim, and I have really long hair. Instead of making me stand for my haircut, she knelt down and trimmed my hair!!! Totally awesome! I just met her, and I love her!!! Totally requesting her every time I go read more

Two other hair salons declined to untangle and trim my wife's hair. Nadia at Fantastic Sams took on the task and did an excellent job.

I feel obligated to write a review here hoping that this will help others from being stuck in the same position as i was this week.I took my 2 sons (ages 2 and 4) to the fantastic sams in Santee. Upon arrival I asked the only stylist in the shop if she was comfortable cutting kids hair, esp since the youngest will probably cry esp of clippers are used. I went on to explain that we prefer a scissor cut as the clippers do scare my youngest still, she agreed. She said yes no problem and proceeded to seat my baby. About 5 seconds later another stylist returned from a break and my youngest was immediately pawned off on this "stylist." I can honestly say that i HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISGUSTED AND APPALLED by the manner in which my son was treated. This behavior goes beyond unprofessional and is sickening! This woman should NEVER be allowed to cut a child's hair again. If YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN DO NOT BRING THEM HERE! This woman should NEVER be allowed to cut a child's hair again. This woman, whom did not have a name tag (I wonder why? ) was so beyond unprofessional I have never been more outraged by a so called stylist. Just fyi she is a middle aged woman with dirty blonde hair and a oddly placed facial piercing. I've attempted many times to get her name but no-one is anwsering the phone...anyways... This stylist refused to listen to my advice as to do a scissor cut and only used clippers on my son. Of corse he started crying, i told her this in advance. She was so short on patience that she violently forced my son's head from side to side. She held his head so tightly that her nasty nails left red impression marks/indentations on his neck and head hours after leaving this establishment. She went on to berate my baby and yelled things at him such as "knock it off" and "your being a brat." I was DONE! This person goes onto threaten my baby and then begins to critique my parenting! She attempts to tell me how to handle him and at that point I had to tell her to "STRICTLY FOCUS ON YOUR ONE JOB HERE WHICH IS TO CUT MY SON'S HAIR." She needs to learn to stay in her lane. She crossed sooo many boundaries I am shocked she actually has a job esp one where she has the privilege to work with adorable babies such as mine. We left as quickly as we could after this exchange and I feel like every penny we spent here was a waste of money. The haircut is AWFUL and incomplete, why would I give this person the oppertunity to try n fix it? And now my 2 yr old has stubble! Wtf? Beyond unprofessional, quite frankly disguisting. This stylist shouldn't be working with anyone, let alone children! Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. read more

Location: Santee, CA Alexis is amazing!! She is very personable & makes you feel comfortable while asking all the right question. I went in for just a trim & a little bit of layers in the front (1st cut since Covid) & I was a bit nervous. Needless to say it was a great experience! She is very knowledgeable in hair products as well. Would definitely recommend her! read more

Alexis was super friendly, and very knowledgeable. She tamed my damagrd hair and gave me a great cut. Super clean place. Will diffently go back. Thanks Alexis! read more

Don't Go here! They don't honor their coupons. I had one for any cut and shampoo. I waited half hour. Then was told they don't have a printer so can't honor the coupon, but will do it this time. The older woman sighed at me when I had even mentioned the coupon. When I showed the haircut I wanted. All of a sudden my price went up to $35. Worst part of it, I was told 15 minute wait. A man came in after I did and all of a sudden I lost my place in line. He said he had an appt. but when I checked in I wasn't informed there was someone ahead of me. I would not recommend coming here. First and last visit for me. read more

I came in and they said there was only one person in front of me. I was running late but had time to wait the 20 minutes they quoted. I waited and the person in front of me went and when it was my turn, they took a "regular" who had come in after me and told me I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes. This is the second time this exact same thing has happened to me at this place. If you are not a regular....I would avoid. I am done with them. read more

Went today for long overdue haircut. Previous time was with Nadia, who did a good job with fixing my self haircut. Today I had Reem. She was super nice, knew what she was doing and did a 'Fantastic' (no pun intended) job! I like a quiet haircut, no talking - just me zoning out and relaxing. Reem did not mind at all, just went to work on my hair. Again, super job! Thank you read more
