Terrible. I went for a trim and didn't expect much but the girl didn't even wet my hair or ask how I parted my hair. She just brushed it down with a comb and trimmed it straight across my back. She didn't even pull the hairs out that were tucked behind my ears. I was only in the chair for about 4 minutes. It had been 8 months since I had my hair cut and it was a disaster! Sonia was so nice and welcoming! She made sure I was comfortable chopping off a lot of it and she added wonderful layers! I've asked previous stylists at an entirely different salon to put in a lot of shorter layers and they never do. Sonia listened to everything I wanted and made magic happen. I received a very nice hair cut and wash from Shantel. I had to wait a bit given some ladies were getting some color put into their hair. After waiting for about 30 minutes, Shantel invited me to sit at her station where she proceeded to ask me a few question and proceeded to cut my hair. She was very polite and gentle through my haircut. The gave me a tight number two on the sides and back with a very good trim on the top. It was a very nice haircut which also included a shampoo and wash. The salon was well kept and the employees were nice. The haircut and wash normally cost $20 but with a mailer I receive from FSHS, the haircut cost $10. read more

I am writing this review after my 5th time visiting this fantastic Sam's location, and by far it has been my favorite salon. It is always so clean and the employees are all so professional. They have been able to do whatever service I needed from a simple cut and blow out to the balayage coloring. I go to Nadia and she has always done an amazing job. She did my balayage color treatment before my every event including my wedding and the blending was exceptional and the color came out beautiful in my pictures. The picture I've included is after the coloring and a blow out. My hair has no damage after the coloring, and she made it very smooth in the styling which is very difficult with my hair since it is very very curly. First time and won't come back. I called in Advance and was given an appt two hours later. I got my hair cut by Rezan. She asked me if I wanted a shampoo, I was under the impression all Fantastic Sam's' include the shampoo with the haircut. She asked me to wait at the hair wash station (without putting hair cutting cape on me) she started washing my hair and got water and shampoo on my face and all over my clothes. We agreed on cutting 1 inch off of my hair. It ended up being way more. There was no communication in between. I feel like she went rogue at some point and started cutting more hair than agreed and for $30. Way too much. I could have just cut it and wrecked it myself. Edit: to the owner. If you were overbooked you shouldn't have booked my sister and I. My sister got service from someone else and she got a cape put on her prior to her shampooing. I Do NOT have thick hair. This is the same comment Rezan made prior to shampooing me. I told her "I do not have thick hair. It is long, yes. But not thick". I disagree with the cutting extra for it not to look choppy. My hair is uneven now. The left side is longer than the right. Your apology is not needed. Train or hire better staff. read more

Thank you for investigating, however it was not stated the wait to be 5 to 10 minutes or we would have stayed. What upset us was the uncaring attitude and shoulder shrugs of your staff. They could care less that a customers appt. was mixed up. Having been in Customer Service and Mgt for my entire career. I assure you that I would never have allowed my customer to have felt that way. I feel obligated to write a review here hoping that this will help others from being stuck in the same position as i was this week.I took my 2 sons (ages 2 and 4) to the fantastic sams in Santee. Upon arrival I asked the only stylist in the shop if she was comfortable cutting kids hair, esp since the youngest will probably cry esp of clippers are used. I went on to explain that we prefer a scissor cut as the clippers do scare my youngest still, she agreed. She said yes no problem and proceeded to seat my baby. About 5 seconds later another stylist returned from a break and my youngest was immediately pawned off on this "stylist." I can honestly say that i HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISGUSTED AND APPALLED by the manner in which my son was treated. This behavior goes beyond unprofessional and is sickening! This woman should NEVER be allowed to cut a child's hair again. If YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN DO NOT BRING THEM HERE! This woman should NEVER be allowed to cut a child's hair again. This woman, whom did not have a name tag (I wonder why? ) was so beyond unprofessional I have never been more outraged by a so called stylist. Just fyi she is a middle aged woman with dirty blonde hair and a oddly placed facial piercing. I've attempted many times to get her name but no-one is anwsering the phone...anyways... This stylist refused to listen to my advice as to do a scissor cut and only used clippers on my son. Of corse he started crying, i told her this in advance. She was so short on patience that she violently forced my son's head from side to side. She held his head so tightly that her nasty nails left red impression marks/indentations on his neck and head hours after leaving this establishment. She went on to berate my baby and yelled things at him such as "knock it off" and "your being a brat." I was DONE! This person goes onto threaten my baby and then begins to critique my parenting! She attempts to tell me how to handle him and at that point I had to tell her to "STRICTLY FOCUS ON YOUR ONE JOB HERE WHICH IS TO CUT MY SON'S HAIR." She needs to learn to stay in her lane. She crossed sooo many boundaries I am shocked she actually has a job esp one where she has the privilege to work with adorable babies such as mine. We left as quickly as we could after this exchange and I feel like every penny we spent here was a waste of money. The haircut is AWFUL and incomplete, why would I give this person the oppertunity to try n fix it? And now my 2 yr old has stubble! Wtf? Beyond unprofessional, quite frankly disguisting. This stylist shouldn't be working with anyone, let alone children! Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. read more

Don't Go here! They don't honor their coupons. I had one for any cut and shampoo. I waited half hour. Then was told they don't have a printer so can't honor the coupon, but will do it this time. The older woman sighed at me when I had even mentioned the coupon. When I showed the haircut I wanted. All of a sudden my price went up to $35. Worst part of it, I was told 15 minute wait. A man came in after I did and all of a sudden I lost my place in line. He said he had an appt. but when I checked in I wasn't informed there was someone ahead of me. I came in and they said there was only one person in front of me. I was running late but had time to wait the 20 minutes they quoted. I waited and the person in front of me went and when it was my turn, they took a "regular" who had come in after me and told me I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes.
