I visited this salon for the first time on Oct 3rd, 2019. I am new to the area and had some concerns about finding a new stylist. I was so happy to stumble across this gem! You immediately feel welcomed when you walk in the door. I was instantly offered a greeting, smile and a beverage. The salon makes their own fruit infused water that's pretty tasty. I was then introduced to my stylist Shelby Lynn. Shelby was very outgoing, great personality and very attentive when I explained what I wanted for my color. Shelby did an excellent job with my hair (which is way thicker than she anticipated) and it came out exactly how I described it to her. During my time there, I was approached by another stylist that I later learned was the owner, Christy. Christy was very welcoming and had lots of advice for me being a new comer to the area. I was very impressed that the owner took the time to introduce herself and make me feel welcomed. Overall - my stylist was great, the atmosphere is very welcoming and laid back, and everyone was very friendly. Most of all, it was clear that they value their clientele. The salon closes at 7PM and Shelby had no issues with staying way past their closing time to accommodate my busy work schedule. This came as a surprise as I am not a "regular" and didn't expect them to go out of their way for me. Conclusion - this place has EXCELLENT service, very friendly staff and an owner that values her customers. read more

I have never been to a Salon like this before! So it was a very nice surprise when they had offered snacks and drinks (even Wine!!) I will always take a free glass of wine when offered. Lol I walked in and Sean was very helpful with filling out the paper work. They were very accommodating with my schedule even though I was running a little late. They are very through with all things hair. You fill out some paper work and they help assist you reach your ultimate hair goals. I'm trying to grow my hair out so all I came in for was a trim. Let me tell you, that was the best trim of my life. I seriously can't think of anything bad about this place. They are all so friendly and nice, it's a wonderful place to just relax. They have a great blowout bar, it seemed as if they had endless hair color options. The shampoo room is dimly lit, with relaxing music on and it smells amazing. You get two complementary add ons when you are there for the first time. You have the option to pick two of the following: neck massage, shoulder massage, paraffin hand wax treatment, or scalp massage. I went with the shoulder massage and paraffin wax treatment. I highly recommend this place, check out their photos on here, the definitely do deliver an amazing service. They are upscale but not pretentious by any means. Went here quite a few times with a dream of achieving silver/grey hair. I never got it, but even I did get a really nice different color balayage every time and my hair isn't dead from all the bleaching, thanks to their great Olaplex hair treatment! Salon 427 has many good qualities! Allow plenty of time and know your budget. I loved my stylist and you definitely feel pampered. They serve you snacks and your choice of beverage including wine if you like. My hair was a mess and I needed highlights, cut and style. She gave it to me and I loved my stylist and service. I also needed a conditioning treatment. They also have a quiet room with a digital screen playing music and pictures of far away castles and beautiful pictures playing. They gave me my choice of a complimentary neck massage, Paraffin wax hand dip or something else, but I chose the wax hand dip. Felt wonderful. One of the main reasons I chose them to go to may be odd to you, but with my marketing background, I support companies that are more than meets the eye. They try to do good for the community as a company. They collected and washed shoes for donation and I was impressed with their community support. They deserve your business. Ok, so those are the great things! If you want a pampering experience and cost is not a factor, this is the place for you. They do give a referral program that could help offset your cost for services if that is your concern, so ask them about it. Not so great, The quiet relaxation room was ICE COLD. I was freezing. They didn't serve coffee or anything hot but my stylist did round up a tea bag from somewhere and heated me water in the microwave. Kudos to their staff for doing everything in their power to make me feel comfortable. She also turned on the stand up dryer in the room to warm my area a little bit. (Yes, I was that cold!) Bless her heart for finding me tea! No coffee, and I didn't want wine for my morning appointment. Also, though a relaxing environment, it was a bit long for me. I was at the point that I wanted to hurry up the experience and get out of there. The main problem I had was the price. I've had the same basic services without the special treatment for half the cost. I didn't leave there under 150.00. read more

RECEPTION/TOUR - I came in on February 12th to get my hair looking nice for my birthday. I was greeted by Erin at the front desk who had a really pleasant personality. I don't know what it is, but no other salon seems capable of having a nice professional front desk person. Having Erin as a first impression really gave me trust in my first time being there. She gave me a guided tour of the salon, explained their products, offered beverages (free wine/beer/infused water/soda) and snacks (pretzels/chocolate), and wished me a happy birthday. She was also attentive by updating me on how much longer my wait would be (I was a walk-in - you should make a reservation because they are really popular). These little things meant a lot to me and impressed me because as someone who works in hospitality I have a lot of pet peeves when it comes to getting service. Erin also said "my pleasure" which stood out to me as well". She was so professional and accommodating. I can't believe that I have so many nice things to say prior to talking about my hair styling experience. CONSULTATION/HAIR - Airicka did my hair. She was really nice and listened to what I had to say. They actually do a consultation with you where they talk about your hair. That was really useful especially because you are given your price breakdowns before they do anything - no surprises! I have really thick really long hair that was breaking apart and just altogether looked nasty and wasn't fun to play with anymore. Airicka fixed it up with a deep condition, cut, and thinned out my hair! She is AWESOME at thinning out hair. I was so scared of what it would look like. Once again there was a lot of attention to detail. She was really nice to talk to as well. I hate getting my hair cut with someone awkward or unpleasant. WASH ROOM - The wash room was mesmerizing. It's very tranquil - they set the mood by turning off the lights (I really wish other stylists didn't come in to turn them on and leave them on for a while), lighting candles, and playing relaxing music. What really makes it more amazing is the hand wax. It was my first time doing that. I would have been fine just spending my birthday with wax on my hands for the rest of my day. Airicka did a great job of washing my hair - she made it a very gentle and relaxing experience. Usually my hair gets pulled and my neck is yanked around. PRODUCTS - Mostly all products are Paul Mitchell which I liked. I swear by his straightener and skinny serum! Erin let me know that they do an awesome recycle and refill program with shampoo and conditioner. Buy a bottle from them and get it refilled by them for 50% off!!!!! I can't wait to do that. Thank you ladies for the good experience :) especially because I have numerous bad salon stories to tell...now I have a good one! Wishing I did a before and after...can't wait for my next visit! I tried this salon because i was tired of the stylist at my former salon just not listening to what i wanted. I looked for reviews and salon 427 had good ones. I called and talked to Crystal on the phone. She was so nice. I stopped for a visit and was greeted by a friendly girl at the front desk who offered to show me around. Booked an appointment with Crystal even though I could have gotten one sooner with another stylist. She asked questions and actually listened and made suggestions. Showed me different ways and products to style my hair. Im not 100% thrilled with my hair...yet...but only because Crystal had to fix the mess from my previous stylist. A couple more visits after my hair grows in should do the trick. In the meantime I'm happy and can manage this style on my own. The neck and shoulder massage was a wonderful bonus. Wow ! Yesterday I had a less than great experience here getting my my hair done. I posted my feedback and the management of Salon 427 called me right away to discuss my concerns and how they could make it better. They offered to redo my hair and refund some of my money for what was a misunderstanding on both our parts. I am highly impressed by the level of customer service and professionalism of the management team. They really valued my input and really listened to my concerns. Not only am I beyond happy with the cut and color, that was all fine and dandy...but let me tell you about "The Wash House Experience"....you have died and gone to Heaven! I will NEVER go to another salon again! I will NEVER throw DIY color in my hair again and I think I may do a once a week Wash House Experience just for the pure joy of it!!! AMAZING SALON I have been coming to Spring Hill for the last seven years to visit family (sometimes staying months at a time). Having tried many local salons, I have always ended up going to Tampa to have my hair colored and cut. Now, finally, I have found the PERFECT PLACE for all of my hair needs. SALON 427 is fantastic. It is not just a place to fulfill your hair desires, it is a relaxing, pampering experience. First, I was greeted by an extremely knowledgeable receptionist/stylist (Erin), who gave me a complete tour of the salon, explaining all of their services. The entire establishment was spotless and very professional while retaining a hip and relaxing atmosphere. Convinced that I was on to something good, I made an appointment with a colorist, specializing in white, gray, brown hair (looked like a skunk). I was given an appt. with Shelby. Thus began my personal experience with Salon 427. Arrived at the appointed time. Once again, greeted by an extremely friendly and pleasant receptionist. During my short wait, I was offered a variety of refreshments, served on a personal tray with flowers (talk about feeling special). Shelby was my stylist. She is extremely competent (and fun). Our consultation was so thorough. She wanted to know all of my expectations, then realistically informed me of what she could accomplish. We proceeded to "the wash room", a tranquil paradise of dimmed lighting, soft music, and the most amazing shampoo/head massage that I have ever received. I also received a complimentary hand wax since I was a new guest. Heavenly. BEST COLORIST EVER - Once back at Shelby's station, she proceeded to begin "low lights" to help add color while working with my original color so that I could keep a low maintenance re-coloring schedule. I also decided to opt for the Keratin treatment since my hair tends to poof out in the humidity. She had an assistant at all times, which speed up both processes considerably. Shelby then refined/shaped my hair with her amazing skills and handy scissors. I walked out of there feeling like a queen, and, looking great. I had taken several of their business cards to give to friends, but I had to stop by the salon for more because so many people have asked me where I got my hair done. Another plus, I felt that for the services received, the pricing was very reasonable. (No, this is not a $6.00 haircut; this is a spa experience at half of the price.) I came here a while ago and loved it! I recently came back for a quick cut but it didn't turn out as I expected. The person cutting my hair barely listened to what I wanted and made me feel uncomfortable because she came off as a little rude but I just ignored it since maybe she was having a bad day. When I got home and then straightened my hair to see the layers they were so choppy and way too thick. I even noticed that my hair on the left side of my head was noticeably longer than the right side. I was so disappointed. The salon as a whole is good but sadly I'm not going back because of my experience with that specific person. :( read more

I have been here twice.. Absolutely loved it.. From the moment I walked in, didn't want the pampering to end.. My 1st time there was an emergency trip, I had used a box color on my hair, and seriously messed it up that I had to get into a salon. My tech went over everything with me before starting and let me say I was impressed. especially after I had to sign a waiver LOL.. I will be coming back in so I can get my hair done for me beach wedding. Although, no one has called or emailed me about a look ahead on how it would look for my day. First visit here was superb! I went in for a "corrective" cut from another salon that had totally messed up my hair. My stylist gave me a 15 minute consultation first, examined my hair to see what was wrong, talked to me about what I wanted, made notes, and did the best she could to fix what was done. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! When I walked in, all was good! They are very nice people, but I wanted a warm blonde color almost honey blonde. The lady doing my hair had 3 other people helping me, so therefore the aftermath turned out TERRIBLE! It turned out yellowish blonde and she died my roots way to dark. It looks so trashy, doesn't blend well together. It's so light, I showed pictures desribing that I wanted it to look a certain way and it turned out the opposite. And it was $190 !!! Hell no. This isn't a salon, it's an experience! Their attention to detail is impeccable. I've been working in customer service for over 13 years and I was blown away by how friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating the team was at this salon. They welcome new guests with a sign on the entrance, offer infused water and juice, wine, Pellegrino, Starbucks frappes and an assortment of snacks and not in a pretentious setting which you'd expect to be served those things. In addition, for your first visit you received two complimentary upgrades to your hair wash, which range from mini-massages to a moisturizing hand wax treatment. A very nice and warm team member gives you a tour through the salon during your first visit and introduces you to some of their services. One of my favorite things, and apparently my hair stylist, Cheyenne's as well, is the recycle bar. They have Paul Mitchell products which can be a bit more expensive than your run of the mill shampoo, conditioner, etc. The cool thing is you can bring many of the products back for a refill at 50% of the cost! This makes them actually cheaper than your drug store brand products. Cheyenne spent a long time talking to me about my hair prior to the actual cut and together we figured out what I wanted and the best style and cut for my hair. I will definitely be coming back and telling everyone about it! Great cut, great staff and great experience! The whole thing was $35 plus tip, tax and the products I'd chosen. read more

I absolutely LOVE This Salon. I was thrilled from the moment I walked into the door. I was greeted, and then offered the drink menu. I chose water, even though you can have wine as well. When it arrived, it was on the cutest tray with a vase with a flower in it and snacks of chocolate, and other nice crackers, pretzels, etc. Then afterwards, I was given a tour of the place. We started with the many colors they carry. All Paul Mitchell. Then my favorite, the "Shampoo Room" opened with french doors, and into the darkly lit room with lighted candles and relaxing music playing. The room also smelled amazing!! Then aterwards, while seated in my salon chair, my stylist "Christy" went over in detail with paper and pen what I liked and did not like about my hair. It really was a very detailed sheet, so they know exactally what you are looking for. After I explained what I wanted, which was a cut and color, I was wisked away to the shampoo room. There I was treated to a parafin hand dip with mittens on and then set down, I then received a fabulous scalp massage, which was delightful, and a shoulder rub. Then shampoo and conditioner with extra time for it to sink in... I was so relaxed after that it was hard to get up. But once at my hair she consulted with me on the colors and we found a perfect match. i even threw in a few red bold streaks for fun. My color and cut turned out exactally as I wanted and was very pleased. I also love the fact that they recycle and save me money on all my hair products. If you purchase a bottle, and bring it back in for a refill you get it for 1/2 price! What a deal!!! Plus they also do the popular feathering now as well. I feel my time has passed for that but if I were a few years younger I would definately go for it. So many cool colors. Also, they have the best rewards program if you send in a person to them you both get a 10.00 credit to use. This salon is over the top excellent. The customer service is beyond amazing. Everyone from the receptionist to the owner made me feel like a princess and was very welcoming. I've never been to a salon like this and they charge no more than any other salon. They have a 7 day happiness guarantee if for any reason you are unhappy with your style you only need to come back in and they will fix it. I didn't have to avail myself of this service. My hair was exactly the way I described wanting it. And Alex was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. They training they get after graduating beauty school is intense and they have continuing education every week along with a seminar in Vegas every year. I've never seen a salon take such pride in the job they are tasked to perform and it shows in everything they do. And the extra perks that have nothing to do with your hair but are included are worth the visit alone. I had my hair colored, trimmed and my eye brows done which turned out perfect as well. I already have my next appointment scheduled. Alex Rocks. This is by far the best money you will ever spend on your hair. And they give you an estimate and explanation of the charges so if you are on a budget you can work with the stylist to get within your range. Make sure you plan for extra time. They spend a lot of time making sure they understand what it is you are looking for and they listen and ask all the right questions. I usually have decent experiences here. But I referred a friend for a hair cut with a 3 pm appointment. He wasnt seen for 45 minutes without anyone telling him why. Then a hair cut that shouldn't have taken no more than maybe 30 minutes took almost 2 hours! People came in after us and left way before we got to. That is ridiculous! Awful customer service. I don't know if I want to keep my appointment after today. read more

After moving here 3 years ago from the NY/NJ metro area I was sure I was never going to find a really great salon in the Tampa/Gulf area. Most of the time I felt like I was on that reality show "Tabatha's Salon Takeover", with dirty places, brushes that looked like they had not been cleaned in years and workers (notice I did not say stylists) that spoke and acted like they were in high school. One after the other I went hoping for something decent. I even asked friends for referrals and well let's just say what some people are use to when it comes to a salon is not what others are use to. However well meaning people can be... if you are picky about people handling your hair and skin and look for cleanliness as a given then it might be a long wait. Unless someone tells you about Salon 427. Wow. At first I thought it was just a dream when I actually has someone professional answer the phone and booked my appointment while asking intelligent questions!! Then when I went I was greeted professionally and given a beverage to drink. I was taken on a short tour, and a consultation was held BEFORE I even had my hair washed. It got better and better. The brushes were all cleaned and wrapped after every "guest"!! The washing area is like a sanctuary where you can relax with candles and a flatscreen with relaxing videos of beautiful fish and animals. A parafin hand treatment or shoulder massage after the most wonderful envigorating shampoo. I wasn't treated this well at Fredrick Fekai's in NYC... I met with Chrissy, one of the owners and she spoke with me about my color and cut for 15 minuted before she even touched my hair. Everyone was soooo nice. And while my color was developing she gave me a e-reader to look at magazines!!! Wow. Now I look forward to every "reservation" as I am referred to as a "guest". If you live in Pasco or Hernando this is the place to be for all your hair needs. I will never go anywhere else. Once you go you will feel the same way. They take time, go over what you like, what they think looks good (but leaves the final decision to you ) writes everything down and gives you the estimate UP FRONT for the services. Salon is gorgeous, LOVE the quiet room for hairwashing. STAFF IS SO GREAT! It was raining terribly and just had a knee replacement 3 weeks prior - Steve (I believe he is one of the owners) went and got my car in the pouring rain, pulled it up onto the curb so I wouldn't get wet and helped me into the car so I wouldn't slip - this is the second time I've been to the salon and while it is a little expensive, the "extra's" they do make it worth while - I AM NOW A LOYAL CUSTOMER!!! read more

The staff and stylist were very professional and friendly, place looks nice, however with that said I won't be returning to this place, I never skimp on my hair. I had my hair cut here on march 11 of this year. Was a last minute appointment so I wasn't too upset about the hour wait to go back. I wanted to get my haircut today, march 14 and figured if I made an appointment - there wouldn't be much of a wait. I was absolutely wrong. Got to the place on time. Was offered a drink and told the girl I would like some water. She left and never returned. Finally got taken back to the chair twenty minutes after my appointment time. Had the girl come to me and apologize for the wait and left me sitting in the chair for another 10 minutes. She finally came back to sit another customer 3 chairs over and begs in to work on her hair - coloring it. Well, I was done at this point. I had other places to be and didn't have time to wait for another hour in that chair while she started another customers hair - coloring her hair! So, I told the girl i didn't have time to wait and that I would Just have to go get my haircut elsewhere. This is one of the rudest experiences I have ever been a part of. No explanation, no telling me anything about double booking or over booking just assumed that I would be ok just sitting in a chair watching everyone around me get their haircut while time ticked by. In made an appointment because there were other things I had to do later on. Didn't realize that it was going to be an hour ordeal. So, all in all- I have to go somewhere else to get my hair cut before Easter holiday. I will make sure to let those that I know - especially the ones that get their haircut here already.
