But let's get to the important part- Terrace was WONDERFUL! He listened to what I wanted and didn't want. He showed me samples of color and he was very detailed. I was a bit hesitant about going to Leaf and having a new stylist but wow was I lucky! The place is great, the staff is outstanding so very nice and easy to talk with. My hair stylist was pure magic! Nadine reviewed a picture of the style I wanted, consulted with me in great detail gave suggestions and the end results were amazing. I wish I could bottle her. I just moved to the area and needed to get my roots done and my former stylist would also add a toner. I walked in with blonde hair and walked out with pink hair. After she washed my hair I sat in the chair and literally wanted to cry. My stylist was apologetic but the stylist that "assisted" her said, "I don't see a problem". I said the problem was my hair was pink! She said, if your "not happy" I can put another toner on it that will fix it. Why didn't you use that one first? I refused to have them experiment further. I walked up to the counter and basically said that this was a fiasco. I didn't think I should pay because I will need to pay to have it fixed. The girl at the counter tells me I have to pay. That's when I informed her that I wasn't going to pay for this fiasco. She tells me if you don't pay we'll call the police. Seriously? My hair is pink and you're not taking responsibility? I told her she should call the owner at the other location in Brooksville first and I left. When I got into my vehicle one of the "stylists" came out and took a picture of my license plate. I called the police myself and they told me that I should wait for the officer to arrive just to get my side of the incident. Meanwhile I called the owner at the Brooksville location and all she was concerned about was me paying since they'd used "product' on me. Officer arrived and was completely taken aback by my pink hair. Nonetheless, since the owner was making a point of me paying he said that I did have to pay otherwise it could be considered "theft of services". I complied. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! read more

first of all, i have never come across a friendlier staff. My hairdresser was Laura and she went above and beyond to help me achieve what I wanted, which was a cut that created volume! I usually go to the Aveda on US 19 but this experience was quieter, faster, and more personable. read more

I went in for a highlight today and came out with darker hair then when I went in.The manager first said she can add a couple of highlights in a few days to fix it (my whole head is now dark brown). When the whole head needs to be redone. Then they explained in order to get my hair to the agreed color of the orginal appointment it would take multiple sessions. I've been getting my hair dyed the same way since I was 16 and its always only taken one session. Then the manager said I had to pay for the service and they will try and fix it at a later appointment. I dont know I just feel if they mess up your hair you shouldn't have to pay and they should fix it. I am disabled and its very hard for me to sit through a hair appointment as it is (this appointments 5 hrs). Also my appointment was with megan and when I got taken back another stylist took over and said it was miscommunication.i wish I could post pictures my hair is brown and I was supposed to be very blonde.....its now going to cost me double to get it fixed. Also the manager could care less about what happened still wanted me to pay. My hair looks terrible. Terrible customer service. I even showed the stylists and manager pictures of my hair blonde and how it was supposed to be . They wanted me to pay$255 for highlights of blonde and actually turned it darker brown and still wanted me to pay....my hair looked 10x better before it was touched.**** they did offer to try and fix it at a later date . However I would still have to pay full price. Terrible customer service. I Think its insulting to ask a customer to pay full price for hair you messed up. I was purchasing blonde highlights and you turned my hair darker brown. I was also told by the manager they would not fix my hair unless I paid for the brown hair they gave me. They wanted to charge me $255 for blond highlights and actually all they did was just dye my whole head brown. ***the blonde picture is what I showed them prior to dye and what I asked for. "Holy what happens batman" this place is unrecognizable it's all new hair dressers and the owner who has been in hiding for years has come out of her cave so it must be bad. It's young crew now and it shows. The lack of experience and professionalism will not see me or my friends returning. At Aveda prices I want an experienced hair dresser not a young kid just out of school screwing up my color. Also taking 6 hrs to get it done. And not even offered a cup of coffee. My friend paid for me to get a haircut, my first professional color, facial, manicure and spa pedicure for my birthday today. I had an AMAZING time. The salon is beautiful. I was greeted and taken to the shampoo chair almost immediately. I love the design of the salon. Instead of having the chairs along the wall, the main workstations are in the middle. They have chairs attached to individual full length mirrors with drawers on the side for supplies. The decor is Asian inspired (Buddha statues, bamboo, etc) and very relaxing. The hair dyes are hand mixed by the stylists. The facials and mani-pedis occur in private rooms in the back of the salon. This area is set up as a spa and is quiet and dimly lit. They use relaxing nature sounds and aromatherapy which I loved. They also gave me scalp, hand, foot, face and shoulder massages! The staff were very friendly and attentive. They gave me exactly what I wanted. I definitely plan to be back! read more

The staff here are very attentive and they do an amazing job on eyebrows. But I will never get my hair colored here again. When it was first done and still wet it looked great. But after I got home and my hair started to dry (I didn't get it dried at the salon), my hair started to turn a funky shade of yellow and there are streaks of a color I don't have a name for. If I pull my hair back there is a visible line toward my hairline where I guess they didn't get enough color. Not sure since I'm not a hairstylist. I normally go to Salon 427 but I decided to try The Leaf since they were a little less expensive. Lesson learned...you get what you pay for. I now I'm having to pay extra to Salon 427 to fix what The Leaf did to my hair. read more

In three years they gave me at least 7 different stylists that i can think of. It is important to me to know I am going to see the person who I trust to cut my hair, not make an appointment with someone only to be assigned to someone else, yet again. Extremely frustrating that this place seems to drive out their stylists. They should learn how important it is to keep their employees happy, as it's the employees who keep the customers happy. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I paid 110.00 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure manicure that was sub par to say the least. Cut my cuticles with the file, didn't take the dead skin off around the nail and the girl even said she hadn't don't many French manicures and had to redo a few nails to get it right. They look ok from a distance but sloppy up close as she did t get the sides well. Very nice girl and I probably wouldn't say anything if the price wasn't 110.00 which is almost double what I usually pay. For that price I except an experienced professional and perfection. I highly recommend Casey Pelaez for color, cuts, styles, advice and product knowledge. It takes a special person to be able to consistently make red hair coloring look good. My color is perfect every time and my hair looks natural. I come every two weeks for color since my hair grows so fast but my hair is not dry looking or faded as time goes by. The customer service and level of professionalism here is HORRIBLE. I referred my mother in law for a haircut and they made her wait 30 min past her appointment time without saying a word to her. When I told the girl at the counter we were leaving she barely apologized and turned away like I wasn't even there. The tall red head at the desk is RUDE. I had already referred 2 other people to the salon but this was so embarassing I won't be referring anymore. Also, my mother in law was made uncomfortable when a handful of employees stood up front making fun of people walking past the salon. I called an told them I had mid length naturally curly hair I wanted to get Keratin smoothing treatment. They quoted me $250.00. Once there, I decided to it cut first to a just above the shoulder bob. I asked for a root touch up. I noticed that she was putting the keratin on very light and I wondered just how much was really going on. When I went to pay they charged me $50 more for the keratin so it was $300 because they said they used extra keratin. Are you serious? My hair was short. So how much for it had I not cut my hair. I have had this treatment once before in another town and it was under $200 for my longer hair and better results. They also charged me $75 for my root touch up. Unbelievable. Spent almost $500 with tip and I never got their advertised free service: "Our services are accompanied by a Sensory Experience, a concept created by AVEDA that includes a stress relieving scalp and shoulder massage, hand massage, and a finishing touch to your make-up - free of charge. Experience the sense of individualized focus that distinguishes Leaf Aveda from other Spring Hill/Brooksville, Florida salons" I think her filling the bowl only so far was an excuse to charge me for my short hair an extra bowl worth $50. Never again will I go there and pay that kind of money especially with no instructions of how to care for it and my hair got frizzy in humid weather after two shampoos. Wasted $300 on the Keratin. Very disappointed that a local place can take advantage like that. Their site gives little info of pricing like others do. Wonder why. read more

Received a gift card to be used on a massage, called to schedule an appointment and was told they are no longer offering massages. Their website, brochures and facebook page all indicate this service is STILL AVAILABLE. I was told by the owner that if I wanted to use my gift card I needed to buy their products or chose another service. They would not provide a refund on a gift card that was purchased for a massage that they offer as a service but apparently don't? Very disappointed as I thought Aveda had higher standards and better customer service. Leaf Salon & Spa and Aveda will not receive my business again! read more
