My daughter wanted to get her hair dyed and I searched and searched for a place, and eventually settled for this place based off other reviews and photos. I did like the service and feel it was fairly priced. A little bit more than what I would expect to pay, but Kiersten did a pretty good job. My daughter said the only thing she didn't care for, was the employees all seemed like they might've been overworked or just didn't want to be there. She felt the friendliness just wasn't there, but she was happy with the service received. My only complaint is: I paid for the service and the lady at the front desk accessed my credit card to pay for an item I told her I wanted - after I left the store. She forgot to ring it up and just went ahead and charged the card without me knowing about it until about 20 minutes later. She finally called to tell me about it and I was already aware because I received an alert my card was used. I really didn't like that very much. She told me a price, I paid it. I physically watched her scan the UPC, so I'm not sure what went wrong. read more

Been going to the Springhill location, seeing the same stylist for about two years and out of all of my appointments there's only been two that haven't been rescheduled multiple times due to the stylist being "sick or something came up", but I have to fill out/ sign their cancellation policy with veiled, threats of ridiculous fees; but no consideration for clearing my schedule and the money it cost me. I have never had to cancel,, been late, or no showed any appointments. On three separate occasions I've had the Wefts fallout/un stitch and when I tried to call to come in needing a real fix my phone calls were not returned and when I finally reached somebody, I was treated like an inconvenience all while I have half a weft hanging off my head. I was getting hair extension services, which were becoming more and more pricey with installation quality not being consistent and most times did not meet the " master " level pricing. All the while my stylist telling me that my hair extensions " look great and everything looks healthy" but I noticed an increase in hair loss which I routinely asked about. Before seeing a medical professional (which confirmed they were indeed a significant contributor an in fairness, not the sole reason) my stylist suggested clip in extensions and showed me a sample which looked to be very good quality. I was not truly convinced if I wanted to go to clipping versus sew in or keratin bonding, etc., and was told I could purchase them and when I came back in, could decide if I wanted to have clip in or sewing, etc., I did explain that I was going out of town long-term (6-12month) and I was told no problem that when I called to make my next appointment to let them know which way I wanted to proceed and to make my appointment in the future/give four weeks for the products to be ordered. Flash forward I get a call saying my extensions were there and ready to be picked up. I called to asked as to why they were ordered I was told they had been sitting there for months. I explained and asked what changed from my conversation with my stylist and was given attitude and the person on the phone wouldn't give me their name. I called back and spoke with Tracy, who was very nice, but not very helpful. At this point I just accept the situationand make my appointment only to be given hair extensions that we're not the ones I was shown and definitely not same quality. When the stylist put them in, they didn't fit (also was told they could be custom fitted). Stylist gave some BS about how she overlapped them which would give me more versatility with my wefts, but instead it left a big bump at the back of my head that stuck out and couldn't be hidden by my actual hair because it was so pronounced = terrible install that was amateur level which cost me $135. To add insult to injury I get home and looked up the brand name on the box that my hair extensions came in and find out that I could've ordered the same extensions online for literally 1/4 the cost of what I was charged by the salon. By my calculations the salon charged me a 250% markup on extensions that were definitely not the same type or quality I was shown along with a amateur level install that was not custom fitted, which equals a whole big waste of my money. I will not be going back and definitely have learned my lesson and should've not given so many chances and gone somewhere else sooner read more

I'm sorry to say you have not exceeded my expectations. I came to the salon around 3:30 to make an appointment and was told they had an opening at 4:30 I gladly accepted, said yes and would return. When I returned I had a consultation but then was informed there was not an opening to have my hair cut. I was then offered an appointment for the next week, because that person did more short haircuts which I found ironic, aren't all hair professionals knowledgeable in all types of hair styling, which left me confused as to why and for what are they rated on. I left the salon not only not getting my hair cut but was told, had I accepted the appointment offered I would have to pay a cancellation fee. You had me return to the salon after telling me there was an opening then inform me there was no opening. I should be charging you for a cancellation. read more

The visit was a COMPLETE UPSELL from appointment setting to cashing out. They insured me my card wouldn't be charged for booking well turns out they not only charged my card for the FULL SERVICE the ALSO charged a percentage for booking the appointment! Then, from the moment I sat down it was nothing but product "recommendations" but it was all overkill. I gave 2 starts because Cheyenne was kind, professional and gentle with my scalp however a bit too gentle because there was zero scrubbing involved which resulted in residue still in my hair after the wash and blow DESPITE using a clarifying shampoo that was "suppose to remove build up". Upon booking the appointment I was quoted one price; then after sitting and discussing my hair needs price went UP because of course the service they recommend (which cost more) would work better then the one I selected when making the appointment. Fine, I agreed to the price with all faith in that my hair would turn out just as I needed. Then; after telling the stylist that I had JUST had a keratin treatment some two weeks prior, she was already recommending ANOTHER keratin treatment IN A WEEK! Never have I ever had a keratin done back to back and have actually been advised NOT to MANY other stylist; I couldn't believe it but being my first time I had to gage their experience which would in turn determine whether or not I'd return. Finally, after it took 2 people to dry my hair at the same time (mind you my hair isn't even a kid back) I proceeded to pay at which received ANOTHER shock with yet ANOTHER PRICE INCREASE! Of course I disputed it and it was adjusted. She already had two bottles of product on the counter READY TO SELL me as "we also recommend you purchase these" like ma'am quit shoving products down my throat, this entire experience was AWFUL and disappointing to say the least, never again and would definitely NOT recommend unless your just going for a head massage and planning on leaving with a bag of products. I stumbled on Halo Salon on Instagram when I was looking up a Med Spa. Boy am I glad I did. Natasha did a truly amazing job on my hair. We went darker and balayage and she accomplished both so well! I also received the best haircut I've ever had. My teenage daughter came here for her second appointment in 6 weeks. Her first time she requested to have significant full head blonde highlights. She is a brunette. $270 later she did have lighter highlights but not quite blonde. She was told by the stylist it would take one more visit to obtain wanted results. She returned. Again, offered a photo of her intended color and was told it would be slightly darker at the root if she wanted to prevent a drastic difference when the color grew out. $300 later this visit her hair is even darker then the previous visit! My husband did go to the salon in person to try and see what could be done and was told she could make another appointment and they would fix for an additional fee! Will not be returning. read more

: Quality I want to be fair because I have had great service here which is why I am so disappointed. I wanted extensions and we went with tape ins. I needed 4 boxes due to my thin hair. So $1130 later, I have my new hair. We decided to go with some highlights in the hair which was great. I went in December 2020 to have them put in. Everything went well but my color didn't match but that is on me. 5 weeks later, another $400 to take the extensions out and put them back. I did have points which covered my color, which still didn't match the extensions, not on me this time. Now this time there were 2 extra pieces with no where to put them. So 2 days later 2 of them fall out. I make an appt to have them put back in at which time, 2 more came falling out in the girls brush. Then we decide to do highlights in my hair to match the extensions. I have very short hair and not alot of it but $115 later for highlights my hair finally matches. So I'm really feeling like my hair doesn't have the volume it had without the missing pieces so I call to have them put back in. Now this has only been less then a week that I paid $400 plus $115 to have them put back in and I was told i needed to pay to have the extensions that fell out less then 2 days after installation to have them put back. Trial and error I am told. Other then that, everyone was very nice and they all work well together. I just feel like I have paid enough so far and it was not due to me that they fell out. So here I am with $1130 worth of hair because I had to find someone else who is licensed to do tape ins, tell me she would put them in for me but because how thin my hair is, I'm not a candidate for tape ins. I realize that now because I always had to work hard to cover the tape ins on top of my head. So now I have purchased new hair and fingers crossed as well anything that falls out within 2 weeks is covered at no cost to me. read more

If I could put zero stars I would! A total nightmare. Me and my mom went in for a simple hair cut and some highlights and I wish we never even went there! Not only did my mom have to go in twice for her hair it was not done right at all! Her blonde highlights were darkened the first time and the second time going in her hair was lighten to white! My mom almost left in tears. It was fixed a little bit with some toner but still looked terrible. The roots weren't even touched so the roots and the rest of the hair were different colors. And on top of that there was many people walking out of the salon with soaking wet hair! After receiving some recommendations in a local FB group, I checked out their Instagram and decided to give them a try. My morning at the salon began with a glass of infused water delivered on a small tray with a flower arrangement. My stylist was Krissy, a level 4 stylist. There wasn't really forced small talk, just natural intermittent conversation, which I found refreshing because I definitely don't have 3+ of small talk in me, especially first thing in the morning. I started going to this salon about 2 years ago because a good friend of mine Kayla started working here as one of the stylists! She is amazing and always does such a great job! Great atmosphere, customer service, and reasonable prices! I come all the way from Tampa to come and see her not only because she's a friend but because her work is incredible! Krissy was amazing. I called and the sweet gal who answered listened to my babbling and crying over a hair mishap with my color. She recommended Krissy and asked if I could come in for a consultation. During my consultation I was offered a drink and snacks. Krissy took notes, looked at pictures of my hair from the past, asked to see pictures of my vision for my hair, took more notes, quizzed me on my product usage and routines. She also involved Mandy in coming up with a plan. I had an event the next day, and she booked me in even though I was going to need a few hours for all the steps of the color correction. My appointment started with going over the notes and plan from the consultation. Krissy even asked if I had any changes from the day before! Then before we started, Mandy again offered her expertise in the final plan. Krissy also asked a series of questions about me and my hair goals/current status. And this is what they do every time! Not just new clients. I saw and heard all the stylists taking this care with all of their clients. Before we began, she also asked me if I wanted a price estimate for the process. I was made to feel better about my hair and myself by Krissy and all of the ladies who helped shampoo, blow dry, and make me feel comfortable. I came to Krissy thinking we would have to do a pixie cut and dark color to start the rebuilding process. I left with my hair looking 90% like my vision picture. The other 10% will happen at my next appointment only because of it being a huge color correction to begin with. I literally had tears of joy leaving her care. Made an appointment but waited for nearly 20 minutes before my hair was even washed. The receptionist should have just let me sit in the waiting area reading magazines but instead they thought it was a good idea to sit me in a salon chair for 20 minutes and look around the salon aimlessly. I don't remember the name of the stylist who did my hair, but from looking at the work of all the rest of the ladies in the salon, it really doesn't matter. It was all bad. The stylist kept telling me every little thing that my previous stylist must have done wrong with my hair. This was unprofessional, and rude. I actually loved the cut that my previous stylist did, I just needed a trim. She used this product on my hair that she was trying to sell to me, but it smelt horrible and chemically. It also made my hair super greasy later on. I told her several things I was not happy with when people cut my hair and she just was completely unperson able and kept looking at me like I was crazy. She just had a weird personality that was just seemingly unhappy. I've got decent hair so it's pretty hard to completely screw it up so my hair didn't look horrible when I left, but it definitely wasn't good. I have to say something about all the rest of the ladies getting their hair done at the same time as me. One lady had terrible thick yellow streaks on top of dark brown hair. It resembled some crazy animal. The stylist just let her walk out into the world looking like a 14 year old learned how to sort of do highlights with some color from a box. Another lady had a total transformation from a dull cut to a sort of modern angled bob. Think Victoria Beckham in about 2007. Definitely an upgrade from her kind of dull tired long hair she had before, but still this style is from 2007 ladies. Also her color was just terrible, it was like pure YELLOW. Not blonde, YELLOW. This salon is far from upscale, I would not come back. read more

I went in to salon halo after salon 427 cancelled on me. They offer very competitive prices and use the Paul Mitchell product line. I had Rhian for my appointment and after re-dying my hair she suggested that I try a long layer cut on my hair. I took her advice and my hair turned out great. She also thought me a lot of useful tricks to use on my hair while I'm at home. Rhian was awesome extremely helpful and over all a genuine and nice person. I have never worked with a level system before and was given a quote of 170 including my cut.. single color process and if I used 2 extra bowls of color... I showed up right on time since at my consultation I arrived 10 mins early and had to wait another 15-20 to be talked to... we had discussed the color and not to do ink because of certain reasons... I left with a quote of 170 and a coupon of 20% off ... which after doing the math sounded reasonable... so I was met right away at the reception desk and with a glass of wine... I was then moved to where my hair was put up for color and waited at least 20 mins more with my hair in clips and 10 mins more before dye was added... my hair is different and I explained that at the consultation .. I assumed since my hair is thin and doesn't take a lot of dye.. using 3-4 small foils shouldn't be hard for some blocks of color... I showed the stylist the specific cut I had and loved before.. just wanted it a little shorter.. but the side sweeping bang became a jagged/ shaggy front cut bang.. and no angle to really be seen... but I'm not a complainer.. so ink was added to my color plus I asked for a eyebrow was... an didn't seem to me anymore than 1 bowl of color was used.. maybe 1... which would of been 95 for color 45 for cut..15 for additional bowl.. 10 eyebrows... no info given to me if more cost to add the ink ( an yes true I could of asked) but it came to 175... but this was after the 20% off?? An I left a nice tip... but I'm in no ways rich and treat my self not all that often .. just disappointed.. love the color.. not the dye job.. love the length of cut but not the style.. eyebrows perfect read more

I've been going to this salon for 10 months, been in the area for 10 years and could only find one other person who could cut my coarse hair the way I wanted it. That salon is in Brooksville. Salon Halo is in Spring Hill and a better fit for me. Riahnne is a true stylists. She'll talk to you, ask what your plans are for your hair, what you would like and tell you what she's planning to do to work with you. Very nonthreatening situation. Salon Halo has an awesome hair coloring station, these Paul Mitchell trained staff KNOW their color. I just tell Riahnne to do what she wants to color my hair and only put in a caution (not too bright) if school is in session, and go for fun in the summer. Check out their FB page. If there is a bit of a wait to be seen, its because they're perfecting the client they're working on...u would want the same for urself if u were the one in the chair. I'm very Disappointed and angry. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone and if someone asked me for a good salon I would warn them about this one. I Spent quite a bit of money on getting my hair barley bleached and colored and a trim. Looked great in the salon. But when I got home you could see pieces of blonde that was meant to be colored. But I brushed it off. But when I washed my hair a lot of the dye came out. And she didn't trim all of my hair. As you could understand I'm more than angry.
