My wife and I wanted to try these guys out because of the stellar yelp reviews and we moved away from our usual hair cutter/stylist. I'm used to walking in and getting seated within 5-10 minutes anywhere. I walked in and was told I had to book an appointment almost 2 hours hours out. That could be seen as booming business, but part of me was turned off by having to deal with the long wait; it takes literally 5 minutes to cut my hair using two clipper sizes - I don't want to make it a bigger deal than I need to by playing around with reservations. The girl who cut my hair did okay by a indifferent guy's standards ie, she didn't screw anything up. Also nothing great that caught my attention. I don't think she spoke good English which was fine, I got to catch some quick semi-Zs while I got my hair cut. She didn't clean me up afterwards nor added anything to my hair so I ended up doing it myself afterwards when I got home - again not really a problem to me. I think the turnoff was how dissatisfied my wife was with them. She got the same girl (she went there the same day, hours after my haircut) and told her she wanted a trim to clean up her hair style. I guess "trim" must sound a lot like "straighten my hair flat and cut it all down by 8 inches" in Vietnamese because that's sure what she did. Well, she started straightening out her hair and my wife was able to stop her and explain that's not she wanted. But my wife still ended up losing a lot of her locks during her "trim." She was very unhappy with the results because she got her hair permed outside the US at a high end salon earlier this year and the girl essentially undid it. After this experience she's decided against going to new salons in the area (don't blame her - who would trust yelps reviewers who rate these guys 5 stars) and she now makes a 50 mile trek back to her old hair stylist every few months. Bottom line - Salon 206 is nothing to write home about. read more

If you live in Seattle & want a hair cut, hair Colored, brows waxed, you name it, I highly recommend going to Salon 206 & book an appointment with Lan! Ive been seeing Lan since I was 11yrs old, I'm 22 now that should say a lot. She accomadates me in all my needs & is truly amazing & talented. She is my life saver! That pretty much sums it up. read more

I went in about a month ago to colored my hair to lavender. At this point my hair has turns out such a beautiful purple or lavender as I wanted the color to turn out. Even though my hair is pretty dry after all the bleaching which I totally understand. But I'm totally happy with the color. Lan did a great job! Thank you so much! read more

Salon 206 - Love this lavender hair! - Hair Salons Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Hoang did a great job with my waxing. Quick and affordable and they take walk ins.

I was here today, walk in without an appointment. Took care of me quickly, I wanted to color my hair. My Lin (spelling, sorry) discussed colors, advised me about color vs skin tone, worked with me all the way. The color chemicals aren't too harsh, low ammonia. The color came out great, with a hand wash (felt wonderful) and she was friendly! I will go back. read more

The stylist didn't even wash my hair, she flat ironed my hair and then began to cut it. I wasn't sure what was going on for the part which partially my fault which is why I gave it 2 stars. I asked for side bangs and she literally cut only one side of my hair to have bangs. I was so mortified that I just let her finish so I could get the hell out of there. This horrible experience costed me $30 what a waste. read more

Lan is AMAZING. The first time she cut my hair, i was worried because she did a "dry cut" (no wash). But it was one of the best haircuts i've ever had! She's so good i even took my mom to have her cut my mom's hair :) This is hands down my favorite salon in Seattle. High quality, great prices, and Lan is so sweet! read more

Decided to check them out after the amazing reviews on yelp, and they are exactly what I expected if not better. My boyfriend had his hair cut and I dyed my hair. Ben took care of both of us. My boyfriend LOVES his new haircut. He has never been fully satisfied with other salons, but he said here it's worth that extra 5$. As for myself, I had my roots touched up. Ben didn't match the color of my ends exactly the first time, so we had to dye it again. He was extremely patient with both of us, making sure we will be happy when we walk out the door. The service is great and I don't think I'll get my hair done anywhere else from now on. read more

I guess you get what you pay for. I needed a last minute appointment and this place was so highly rated and so inexpensive I figured I'd try it. The stylist didn't introduce herself, didn't wash my hair even though I had specifically asked for it to be washed when I made the appointment. I told her I wanted long layers and to only take about 3 inches off. My hair ended up being shoulder length. She spent all of 25 minutes from start to finish with me. All in all, pretty disappointing. read more

Walked in without an appointment and Lan was able to see me right away. I'm very happy and comfortable getting my hair done by LAN. She walks me right though every step. I'm so glad I found this place. read more

I'm updating this review, because my favorite hairstylist (Hong) no longer works here, but the place is still pretty good. The prices are cheap and they try to do a thorough job on your hair. My wife gets her nails done here, and I get my haircut. Lin is the most experienced nail person (don't know the professional term), and there are few new hairstylist. I don't know if anyone can replace the skills of Hong, but still a solid place for your salon needs. read more

I found this Salon for a Manicure & Pedicure the other day and ended up with a hair cut too. The haircut was only $18. I love the cut and my nails look great too! They were WONDERFUL!!! read more

I had a really good and quick experience getting a hair cut at this salon. I was able to get in for an appointment within two hours of calling the salon (never been here before). It's been about a week since my hair cut, and it still looks great! I've gotten a lot of complements. read more

I have been going to see Lan at Salon 206 for about 10 years. I love the SPEED and precision each hairdresser brings to the table. I got a perfect low-light foil wrap in under 30 minutes! (I have spent over an hour just having the foils put in at other places). Lan and her staff do beautiful work with hail, nails, facials, and waxing. And - if you go for a haircut and then decide you want a blue stripe in your hair, the staff will accommodate the extended time. The prices are VERY reasonable - $20-25 for a cut, $35 and up for color, $12 brow wax, etc. I have seen Asian, African-American, Samoan, Caucasian, Muslim women (they put up a curtain for them), kids, men; they do it all. Ask for Lan and tell her Liz sent you! read more

The service was subpar and my hair looks significantly shorter even though I asked for the length to be kept. I don't think I'll come here again. read more

Wow.... I couldn't believe this salon was owned by a Vietnamese person (because of such good reviews)... This salon is the best Vietnamese one I've ever been to!! This one doesn't pull my hair or use a razor to layer my hair. Lan is one of the best & she's also the owner. So if you want a scalp massage (feels awesome) & a nice haircut plus style & tips to keep your hair healthy with a good price.... Check it out. You'll like it! :) read more

I have known the owner of the Salon 206 for more than 5 years, before she became an owner of Salon 206 she used to work for another salon. I am extremely happy with Salon 206, I go there just about monthy for full salon services..!! The owner, Lan, she is an awesome hair stylist! the price is great! So, give her a try, you will be a happy camper i guarantee!! My whole family and all my friends go there and they are very happy with the services... My son and his cousin, Justen will not let anybody cut their hair except Lan. I suggest you call and make appointment first before you go in, because the wait can be long, epsecially on the weekend. read more

Got my hair cut here about 6 months ago. It was so good that I'm leaving a review now. I was very satisfied with the results. The lady was quick and professional. I was getting a short mushroom type style from my original long straight hair. Would come here again. Price is very resonable as well. read more

My mom use to cut my hair ever since I was born and when she passed away, I needed to fill a very tough position. I have tried many MANY salons, including 7 and other high end places with mixed(and bad,7) results. I even went as far as going to Canada for my haircuts. My wife got a recommendation from a girl to go to this place and although she didn't like her style, I decided to try it out and she turned out to my my fav stylist. I would recommend Lan and Salon 206 to anyone! read more

I wanted to find a place that had quality and was decently priced. My-Linh did a fantastic job cutting my hair! She was very thorough and asked for exactly what I wanted. The total only came to 20$ which is not bad at all! Overall, this place is a gem of you don't want to pay over 80$ for a hair cut. read more

I love this place! Today was my first time coming here, since I injured both of my hands because of doing some boxing exercise and could not wash my hair and it's filthy. I didn't really want to go since I thought salon prices are way too expensive but then it turned out to be so affordable. I came in around 4:30ish and did not have to wait to get the service, they did it so fast with quality too. Really love the people that work here, they are all very friendly. Recommend you all of you guys to give it a shot! Its worth it! read more

Mailene was awesome! Her styling was similar to what one would get from a senior Gene Juarez stylist, but at a third of the price. It was especially nice to go to someone who knows how to cut Asian hair. I'll definitely be back. read more

Used to like going here for the service and price but today, I received the most rudest service. I did a walk in and they told me to wait up to 30 minutes because this particular person didn't have any appointments soon. I waited about 10 minutes, walked over to her and she wasn't friendly and she really rushed through my hair cut. Usually when I had the other people cut it, they really took their time and listen to what I wanted. Usually they show the back of your hair once you're done with a mirror and she didn't do that. It seem like she didn't want to cut my hair and maybe she did have an appointment coming soon but the guy at the desk said she would available within 30 minutes. During the haircut I asked if she could do a line up and fade out my side burns, she looked more irritated and started throwing clippers around. At the end I asked her if she could put wax also usually they do ask you if you wanted to finish your hair off with wax or gel if you're getting a very short hair cut. So when I asked her, she said you should've told me everything you wanted all at once with a rude tone and irritated expression. So yeah in the beginning she didn't want to cut my hair like she already had a problem with me and she gave me the irritated talk the rest of the time I was there. She didn't do a good job cutting my hair, I ended up not liking it. There is some hair in the back she didn't cut properly and it keeps sticking out. Lastly the salon is clean and other staff are friendly. The location is in a good community including for the transit. It's next to the transit train station and transfer center for the busses. read more

Everyone here is good. I've been coming here for about 3 years now to dye my hair. I especially like Lan, she is straight to the point and doesn't beat around the bushes. Shell tell you if itll take long and will also help break down the costs for you before she works on you. Everybody else just told me they didn't know and gave me a receipt with explanations at the end even if I would ask while they're working on my hair what they're doing and ask how much whatever they're doing costs. Lan won't be able to tell you the exact cost before starting on your hair, but she'll tell you at least how many times she thinks she would have to bleach your hair, if you would need treatment, etc - it's always good to have a ballpark of what to expect. I really like that shes confident about what she does and is able to explain things to you in a way that normal people can understand. I'm going to specifically ask for her from now on. read more

I live in Redmond and when I travel to Temple and Events, I usually notice Salon 206 just off Rainier Ave S by O Reilly's Auto Parts. One day I stopped for tools at the auto shop (nice people) and then walked next door to get a business card. It helps that I speak some Vietnamese. I was greeted warmly and they answered all my questions. Well a few weeks later I bailed out of my massage practice office, grabbed a friend, and headed for a hair cut. Earlier I had called and asked for Ann. She was very delightful and professional. We got along great and she did excellent work. So I asked Ann cut to my young friends hair as well. My friend was very impressed with the time, energy and perfection ... thus she too will return. Later she said her boyfriend commented on how well she looked and was impressed with the cut. Thank you Ann. We will return. Afterwards we went to lunch at Old Bamboo, behind Viet-Wah off Jackson St. Yummy food of excellent quality. But more on that at a later date. I will never go anywhere again. Best hair cut I've ever had! However, I don't think they speacialize in pedicures...

Cheapest you can probably ever get for a haircut! The service is very good, prompt, but the hair cut is soso. Dont except highend salon style and cut! read more

My has cut my hair several times, and then another gal when My was out ill. They were both fantastic. I am a blue eyed blonde with fine wavy hair - and a lot of it. They have nailed the inverted bob hairstyle on me. I feel comfortable with anyone in the salon cutting my hair, as 2 for 2 ain't bad. I work in the area, and like to support local businesses. My sister spends $60 in Spokane for a similar hairdo that isn't half as cute as mine (I'm not saying that just because she's my older sister) but we have the same kind of hair, but she's a brunette. Other friends drop 70-80 bucks a pop at the big salons...I say support your local business and get a way better haircut - it makes me feel so much smarter than my friends! ;-) read more

Shortly, they treat your hair roughly and insult you with their mother tongue which you cannot understand. I have experienced this just 2 days ago. Also, I cancelled my order in middle of their bad service. I never go to this salon. read more

For those of you looking for a salon with good reviews AND cheap prices, look no further--this is the place for you! I randomly got my hair cut here and I like it a lot!! Go to Mei (I think that's her name), she does a lovely job. Very efficient, attentive and careful. Oh and not to mention the environment is pretty decent. The negative? You might experience a bit of a language barrier going on (English is a second language here). But other than that there's really nothing bad I have to say about this place. Usually I don't even feel this great about my hair when having it cut at a high-end salon--so that obviously says a lot! Glad I decided to check it out, I will definitely be back soon. read more

A HORRIBLEEEE SALON!!! Ok..i went here to get my hair highlighted, and i left almost crying because of how awful my hair looks. Ive never had a worse highlighting job INCLUDING times when ive done it myself.... It looks streaky and brassy, not to mention they threw in some random giant streaks of RED. like..dark red. Also, they started the highlights like an inch from my root. ugh..it looks so horrible that when i went to a real salon to get it fixed, the front desk lady had trouble not laughing at me. No one can fix my hair because its in such terrible condition from the cheap ass bleach they used. It looks horrible and im embarrassed to go out. Plus my hair has been breaking like crazy. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. they have absolutely no knowledge of hair..theyre not trained and they dont know what looks good and what doesnt. PLUS THEY TACKED ON AN EXTRA 60 DOLLARS TO WHAT WE HAD AGREED ON BEFORE I GOT MY HAIR DONE. oh yeah..and there were crazy people inside that were drinking and swearing...the cops got called while i was sitting in the styling chair. the language barrier is also extremely inpenetrable. read more

Horrable experience, I will never go back. Stylist was stubborn and had nasty attitude. She did not listen to what I wanted done. I went in for a hot oil treatment but got worse results then doing a treatment myself. Hair ened up being frizzy and not smooth. I was expecting quality tools but instead I was dissatisfied with the poor and out dated tools. The lady did not even know how to turn on the equipment. I sat there waiting while she went to the back room. Awful customer service and lack of attention. read more

Best as they come, I fly from San Francisco to visit my family and first thing I do when I get off the plane is go to Salon 206 to get my hair cut.
