Karinna Barley is the most talented stylist I have ever been to in my entire life. She is extremely passionate about her profession and it shows!!! I look forward to my appointments with her because no matter what I ask for, she delivers without fail a masterpiece above and beyond my expectations. There have been a number of occasions where I've entered the salon with only a vague idea of what I wanted; Karinna is always so patient with me and makes it a point to take the time to give me recommendations and assist me in making a decision- I can tell she genuinely wants to be able to give me a style and color I will adore. To be honest, at this point I allow her free reign over my hair because all of her recommendations on color and style have not only entirely exceeded my expectations, but have made me feel absolutely gorgeous and wonderful about myself. Furthermore, I know she knows what she's doing because as we've moved across the color spectrum (she has colored my hair almost every color under the sun, and it is ALWAYS fabulous), she has made sure to keep my hair looking and feeling healthy, which is huge!!!! After every single appointment I always ask for extra business cards because literally THAT many people stop to ask me who does my hair!!! The compliments are almost never-ending!!! Honestly, all of it, the way I feel, the way people react, speaks to her creativity and level of skill. Karinna, you have found your calling. Never quit because you are most certainly #winning. I am a person that has extreme anxiety when it comes to getting my hair done. Hair cuts aren't so bad because hair grows back, coloring however I get heart palliations!! However that has changed thanks to Leah! One day I bit the bullet and let her do what she wanted because I really needed a changed, and it involved color. Needless to say I was BEYOND nervous, but I said do it and I meant it. I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! She did an absolutely amazing job. I have already been back since then to have her do my hair again. I have yet to get it done and not absolutely love it. Nor do I have a heart attack when someone mentions changing my hair color! Also, she is a WONDERFUL listener. I am a hair dressers nightmare! I had the worst hair cut and color of my life yesterday and was literally embarrassed to be seen in public. I went to Genesis today and saw CJ and I swear that woman is a magician! She somehow took what looked like a 12 year olds first attempt at a hair dye and turned it into EXACTLY what I wanted. I am so incredibly happy! The entire staff there were so professional, sweet and obviously knew their stuff!!! I have been going to Genesis for 2+yrs. I have done the $$$ Buckhead Salons for 25yrs being subject to their current whims. At the suggestion of my daughter in law I made an appointment with Kira. My cuts are so great sometimes I run out of the house without a brush to my hair. She is incredible with color as well. The high and low lights works with my natural color and grow out is virtually unseen. The staff and atmosphere is young and upbeat without drama! WOW! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. COME HERE. I had gone to a place previously to get curtain bangs. They absolutely destroyed them. They also destroyed my hair cut, they tried to put layers in and failed miserably. I had been balling my eyes out for a week, My hair used to be my biggest confidence booster and the other people made it my biggest insecurity!! Until i found Abigail!! My stylist, Ashton knows how to cut curly hair and she listened to what I wanted! She also did a full highlight and I have thick but fine hair. The cut , color and styling were all A+!!. I highly recommend . My mother also goes there but with a different set of needs they paired her with a different stylist, Abigail I think. I find Genesis Hamilton Mill to be a fabulous hair salon. The front desk staff has always been pleasant in person and when I call for an appointment. The salon is clean and coffee and water offered while under the dryer, etc. I see Ali who colors and cuts my hair beautifully every time. Great! I love Genesis. Hannah is great and so are the prices. My hair is hard to manage sometimes but Hannah always knows how to highlight and cut it to make it look great.
