I first went to this salon for a color correction in July 2018 (Sallys Beauty "DYI" gone horribaly wrong that also damaged my hair). Christine was the stylust I was placed with. Christine told me strait up and promised no single session miracle. But if I gave her time and the chance she could reverse the damage I did. Christine was very honest and took all the time I needed to feel comfortable. Now, six months later I just stepped out of her chair with healthy hair just as she said I would. I really wanted to like this place. My stylist was very nice. I showed her the cut and color I wanted. I thought we were on the same page. Unfortunately, when I saw my hair I told her it looked really dark. She assured me that it was because it was wet and the toner would fade a bit after a couple washes. I gave her benefit of the doubt bc it looked a little lighter when she dried it. When I got home and could take a better look, my hair was a full gray and beige color. I was bright blonde. I also still have roots showing. The salon hasn't responded to either of my messages asking what we can do to fix this. It will be very hard to correct this without ruining my curl pattern and I am probably going to have to get a keratin treatment somewhere, which isn't cheap. I told my stylist that I keep my hair light bc of thinning areas because they make me self conscious. They are fully visible. I'm not going to name the stylist because she was really nice, but I am not happy with the lack of response to my messages. I have been a loyal customer since before the pandemic. They used to really listen and provide the services requested. I've tried multiple stylists between my daughter and my self thinking it was just a wrong fit with the individual stylist. No, they know how to do one cut and aren't able to even give a good basic blow out. Overpriced and underwhelming. Not worth it any more. read more

The kind lady who did my hair was so sweet and amazing! My hair is absolutely beautiful, it's such a pain in the butt for me to straighten my hair on my own due to its frizziness and curliness, and she seemingly did it with ease and only charged me $10! I went in to get a haircut. Being as busy as I am, I typically only get my hair cut once a year as a treat to myself to get away from everything going on at work at in my home. The person I normally see is at a different salon, but she is out on maternity leave. I had been to this salon years ago, but the stylist I liked had left. I decided to give them a shot. WHAT A MISTAKE! I saw Kaitlyn. I had originally booked my appointment for 12:30 and then received a call asking if I could move it to 1. It was fine. I showed up a little before 1, but I was not seen until after 1:10. I got my brows waxed and was never shown what they looked like, but I left it go. I sat in the chair to get my hair cut and just a few minutes into the cut, Kaitlyn left to deal with another one of her clients. I didn't make a big deal of it. She returned to cutting my hair but was very distracted. She left again. When she returned she spent less than 5 minutes on my hair. I could tell the cut wasn't what I had asked for, but it looked fine from the front. I was never given a mirror to see the back of my head, she just told me that it was a little shorter than the front which is what I had asked for. Even though she probably didn't deserve it, I still left a 20% tip and went home. I didn't get what I wanted, but it seemed like a decent enough cut. When I got home, my husband asked me if I wanted my hair to look that choppy in the back. I didn't know what he was talking about so he took a picture and showed me. See the image attached to this review. This looks like my 4 year old got her hands on a pair of scissors while I was sleeping. It looks awful!!!!! I can't believe that a professional salon would let someone walk about looking like that. I had 2 different mother's day events and a birthday party that I had to attend looking like a joke. I have left messages asking for my money back and am hoping the salon will do the right thing so I can go someplace else to get this awful cut fixed. This is not what a $70 haircut should look like. They would do a better job at Great Clips. I just got a call back from David the Owner who says they will not give me my money back because it is their policy not to. I went here because I seen all the great reviews for Alyssa. Maybe she was having a bad day. But she was in a hurry and even mentioned that she shortened the appointment time thinking she didn't need it before she met me. So we were running out of time so she couldn't blow dry like we had talked about. She high lighted my hair which is ok but not what I expected. My biggest concern with the highlights is my bangs are darker. Which is driving me crazy. And when it came to the hair cut I had to remind her to cut my bangs. She was in a hurry and I guess forgot. They are still too long. I called and told her about the bangs being too dark and she wanted to charge me another $40 after already paying almost $300. I really expected her to offer to fix them since it was her fault to begin with. She didn't have time to dry, in a hurry cutting the bangs, and didn't put enough foils in the bangs. Needless to say I will not be back. I was really looking forward to a great experience. read more

After one of the worst, most botched haircuts EVER, I had been avoiding a hair cut for as long as possible. A friend of mine recommended Bailey at Salon Disegno and now I can finally get my hair cut once again! Bailey really helped me out with deciding on what to do with my hair and how much to cut. She even put up with my crazy split ends and gave me advice on how to minimize them. And you know how you get a haircut and then can never get your hair to look that awesome again after you leave the salon? Sucks, right? Well, Bailey actually went through and told me the product she was putting in my hair and how to use it at home. (Trust me, I needed this much instruction.) Now, my hair has a semblance of respectability even when I haven't just left the hair salon! I haven't tried out any of the other services the salon offers... yet. I found Salon Disegno on Yelp and decided to try them. I was at a stage with my hair that I was very unhappy with. All I knew for sure when I made the appointment was that I wanted to go shorter. Since it was a very last minute decision there was only one spot left for the day I went so I took it! My stylist was Hannah. She took the time to sit down with me to see what I was looking for. I was all over the place with ideas but really just wanted something new. She made some suggestions and I went with it. I'm so glad I did!! I love my hair! She seemed to really take the time to consider my wants and needs along with the frame of my face and how I'd style it on a day to day basis. I went ahead and rebooked with her! I just moved to Georgia and needed to find a new hair dresser. This is a process that usually stresses me out. I am very particular about my haircuts and have only ever had 3 different hairdressers in my life. After searching online and reading hundreds of different reviews, I finally chose Salon Disegno in Dacula. It seemed to have the best reviews and was close to where I live. I called on a Friday morning and was able to make an appointment for the same day. I was hoping this was not a bad sign that they don't have a lot of clients or were not as good as I hoped. Later that day, as soon as I walked in, all my fears went away. It's a cute trendy looking salon. It's not very big, but I like that personal feeling in a hair salon. The receptionist greeted me right away, asked my name and when she found my appointment immediately asked me if she could get me anything to drink. Very nice! The hairdresser they booked me with was Kate. I was going in for a cut and color consultation. She took me over to her station, and as I sat down she asked me also if there was anything she could get me. Having worked in a salon myself, this was definitely great service off the bat. She then looked at my hair and asked what I wanted done. I explained the kind of cut I wanted and showed her pictures. She seemed very interested in what I was saying and was paying attention. She then made some suggestions as to kind of color and design. All of her suggestions were in line with what I was looking for. When I asked if color was possible for the same day, she quickly looked at her book and said it was. I was nervous but excited. She definitely took her time to explain everything she was going to do and all of her ideas. She even went over prices before she started, which was great. Not a lot of stylists will do that. Then once we had a game plan, she began. She was very nice and made conversation. I kind of hate the awkward silence that can go on when someone is working on your hair. This made the process go by faster. The whole process from beginning to end took about two hours. She was great and very professional. She even asked if it was ok to show the receptionist a technique on my hair that she had been having trouble with at school. I said sure and she took her time showing her how to properly cut hair while thinning at the same time. All in all, it was a great experience and I love how my hair turned out! I even booked my next appointment on the spot. 4/7/18 I went in to get a hair cut by Lydia Sattler. I have been growing my hair out for months to this get this certain hair cut that I have wanted. I showed the pic to her and ended up looking like one the of the stooges. It literally looked like she put a bowl on my head and shaved everything around. Sadly no stars after I have been with the Lawrenceville location for quite some time (years). I was given a call 1 week ago to let me know that the Lawrenceville location was being closed down and that I would have to go to the Dacula or Sugar Hill location. Unfortunately these two locations are quite far for me. I understood and simply asked that I be provided with the previously used color that I normally was provided each time I attended. To no avail or returned call. Called again and was advised that they were not able to provide me with that information because it was company policy. This issue of me having to go elsewhere last minute was not MY doing. I am the one being inconvenienced. I am not taking my business elsewhere because I want to. All I am asking is to provide me with the color number so I can - now last minute - search for a new salon/stylist. Requested to please have one of the owners call me. He did and was sarcastic, not classy, rude, condescending - I can go on... Just want everyone to know that behind the scenes there are owners for which are inconsiderate of their customers. They will take your money. Simply be aware is all. I wish I would have known that this kind of treatment came down from the top. I would have taken my $250 plus elsewhere. read more
