This is going to be an odd review because I didn't actually get the usual services from Rene, but…read moreit's a very heartfelt review of Rene as a person -- and if I lived closer to her, I'd go in for services in a heartbeat! My husband and I pulled into the drive in front of Peach Willow Spa because we'd been diverted off one freeway and were trying to find another. As I got out of the car so I could navigate while he drove, I got a sudden and severe cramp in one leg. I was stretching and limping and Rene looked out the window, then came out to see how she could help. After a quick diagnosis -- we had been hiking in hot weather -- she asked if I'd like an ice bag. She brought it to me, along with a muscle-relaxant capsule, and told me how to care for the cramp. She also invited us in, but we were in a hurry to get home. When I thanked Rene for her kindness, she said, "This is what I do. I help people." As I said at the top, if I lived in Vancouver instead of Portland, I'd be going in for Rene's services.

I drive 3 hours roundtrip for my treatments with Rene. I would drive 12 hours if I had to. I trust…read moreher

Yep, I'm a guy leaving a review about makeup... sort of. I'm writing this for my wife who saw…read moreMonica to have her eyebrows filled/tattooed. I guess I look at them more than she does so maybe I am qualified. I was really against permanent makeup because I see it all the time and it doesn't look good... Now I recognize that I was probably only seeing "bad work" done on people. It didn't occur to me that "good work" SHOULD go unnoticed. Take home message is that Monica was AWESOME and the amazing work she did for my wife was totally worth it.

I went through Groupon but instead of the service being cheaper it was over $100 more by the time I…read morepaid for the touch up. Monica (below) disputes this and, indeed, after her explanation I do see that I saved money with Groupon. However, her website is not clear that her regular pricing is à la carte. Other permanent makeup places I've been to (2 others) always included a touch up with the initial payment. That is on me for making the assumption that Monica's pricing would be the same as the - in my experience- industry standard. I am also unhappy with the result. My eyeliner does not even extend over the entire lash line. At my initial appointment, I described exactly what I wanted. Apparently Monica does not take notes on each client. She insists (below) that she did her job then let me assess before I left. She also insists that one cannot tell the quality of the job directly following the procedure because of swelling. However, regardless of whatever swelling my eyelids had, the liner does not extend to the end of my lid in spite of me telling her what I wanted at our initial appointment. No reduction in swelling is going to change that. In my experience, permanent artists check and double check what the clients want. She never told me she would not give me the wings I asked for. I was stunned and just wanted to get out of there when Monica said she was finished. It was incredibly painful and was just insult to injury when she declared she was finished when it was not at all what I had asked for. Yes, that was on me for leaving when I was not satisfied but I was through with the entire experience by then. One last thing, Monica asked me at the touch up appointment what color she had used on me initially. Again, Why didn't she have notes to refer to rather than relying on me to remember? Things are bound to go wrong if artists are dependent on their clients memory. My last point, Maybe permanent eyeliner always hurts this much but I would never go through this experience again. Not for these results at least.

I have been a loyal client of AG Aesthetic Center for years and have received Botox and lip filler…read morehere in the past with results I was very happy with. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my perception of the practice. After receiving lip filler in March, I instantly developed a bubble in my lip that did not resolve on its own. I returned to have it dissolved, then had to come back again for the filler to be redone. After allowing appropriate healing time, one side of my lip was noticeably larger/different in shape, so I returned again to have it corrected. At my fourth appointment, I was told the best option was to dissolve all of the filler and start over. Throughout this entire process, I was patient, understanding, and followed their recommendations. I never demanded a refund or became upset with the staff. After four appointments and the last round of dissolving leaving me swollen and bruised for nearly a week, I simply decided I did not want to go through the process again. I asked if the amount I had paid for filler could be credited toward future Botox instead. I was told that was no problem and that a credit would be placed on my account. Months later, I called to schedule my Botox and specifically confirmed that the credit was on my account. I was told the notes were there and that it would be taken care of. Then, on the day of my appointment, I received a text telling me my appointment was cancelled and that they felt I should seek treatment elsewhere because my expectations were not aligned with their practice. That part was incredibly disappointing. At no point was I told that my expectations were unrealistic or that what I wanted was not achievable. I was simply trying to correct the results of a treatment that had not gone as planned and I was the one who repeatedly returned for dissolving and adjustments. I appreciate that they ultimately decided to refund the filler, but that was never what I was asking for. I wanted to continue being a client and use the money toward Botox, as I had been told I could. Instead, I was essentially dismissed as a client after years of loyalty. The filler result itself was disappointing, but what upsets me most is how this situation was handled. I believe there was an opportunity to make a longtime client feel heard and valued and unfortunately that is not how I left this experience feeling. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Everyone there seemed to be very happy which created a great shopping experience. One negative thing I will say about my last trip is that the employees didn't enforce the governed mask rule. I noticed a slightly overweight woman walking in and as they printed her a mask needed to be worn she told them she can't because it caused her to have anxiety which would restrict her breathing. They asked her to put on hand sanitizer and she said she couldn't because of her skin. They should've just made her leave.
