When you can't find what you want in the hair section over at Target then abandon hope and head on over Sally. For some reason I have the most god awful time zooming in on the right hairbrush. It may take 5 or 6 attempts to get it right. Target doesn't have 5 or 6 of what I'm looking for but Sally does. Also Sally sells equipment aimed at professionals. Their hair accessories (sqirt bottles and hair widgets) work and last a long time. A long time ago I used to buy perm supplies here. But once I retired I let all that go. After reading the instructions for the perm kits, best decision I ever made. Customer service went just fine. A happy customer for a long time read more

Whenever I come here the staff always greets me, is professional, courteous, knowledgeable on the products and how to use them. They are also respectful, kind, and honest, and helpful. The store is always clean and organized and the products I need are available. Thank you to the staff for always being so kind when I come in great store, and great team and management running the store. read more

Today's visit was successful. I went in for two specific items. I knew that Sally's carried them even though I admittedly did go to a local "beauty supply " inquiring first. Thank you for being consistent and having customer service workers that speak with us while in their establishment. read more

If I could rate my experience in this store less than a one star, I would. Not just because of how the staff spoke to me, but how the staff spoke about their employees. Jennifer was very disrespectful in the way she spoke about her employees and she is not the type of person I would want to work for in the slightest! Do not apply here unless you want to get talked about behind your back. Also, for being a beauty store, the staff does not have very good hygiene. I've went in there multiple times and one of the managers in there is revolting. read more

Clean store, products are easy to find, and staff are always friendly and happy to help the customers.

Every time I go into the store, I have bad customer service experiences. I don't really tend to post negative reviews, but the last experience that I had in store was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any retailer. They are not customer service driven, and the store manager is really passive aggressive. read more

The store has a lot of great products for the diy client. I am one of those clients that is always doing something with my hair especially. I like being able to grab some bleach, color, and toner. It's fast and convenient. Staff is usually very helpful. They try to assist and answer questions. read more

Great customer service they always have what I want. I usually order online and go pick it up.

I went in asking for a bleach recommendation and the amazing employee Melissa helped me plan literally my entire hair dyeing process, she laid out all the steps, told me exactly what products I needed while keeping budget in mind for me and was just so amazing. I feel so much more confident with what I'm doing and she helped me save money by telling me what I really needed instead of what I had read online. 10/10 amazing service! read more

I am beyond irritated with Sally's beauty right now and so frustrated. I went to Sally's last night to buy hair dye to dye my hair. I have dyed my hair this hair dye multiple times before with no problem and I have purchased all of my products at sallys over the years. Last night I had my hair dye and bleach in hand, ready to pay at the register. There are two employees that help me last night. I normally always dye my hair red and I asked the first employee which color bleach should I use and she help me pick the color bleach that I should use based on my hair and everything was good to go. I was at the register ready to pay this second employee I don't know her name. She just had red and blonde hair she told me that I should not use the bleach or that specific red, and she instead suggested an argon oil lifting product and she also suggested a different hair dye. I have always had beautiful red hair when dying my hair last night I used what was suggested, even though I had all my products that I regularly use in hand. This employee stepped over the other employee's toes that helped me and I regret listening to the second employee. I use the hair lifting twice, and it didn't even lift my hair at all. Then I dyed my hair today and the roots are the only thing that is red the bottom part of my hair and ends are not red at all I am beyond frustrated because I paid a lot of money for this hair dye and the lifting product just for one it's not lift and it's to damage my hair because now I'm going to have to bleach my hair and re-dye when that was what I was gonna do in the first place. I would not recommend this supply store after what happened. I'm beyond frustrated. My hair is going to be damaged now. I have receipts and everything read more

Wrong hours on Yelp. They actually close at 8 pm and not 9. Besides that awesome store. I always get my hair stuff from here. read more

Don't get scammed by Sally beauty supply. They mark up all their items by 50%. You would be better off going next-door to target

Would give it a zero if I could. Worst customer service ever!! The manager is not helpful at all. They make you feel like they're doing you a favor by doing their job. read more

Haven't been in a Sally's for a while but this one was great ! Love the staff , super helpful.

This is my new favorite beauty supply business, not only do they have great products but the Associates provide excellent customer service! I went in recently to purchase a heat protectant product for my hair and was recommended some awesome products. I couldn't decide at first, so I asked again and was reassured about one product's reliability I was curious about. I've been natural for over two years now and when I tell you I was recommended the magic potion, you wouldn't believe me. So I went back and got two more bottles while they had sale going on! I love it, and my hair loves it too! read more

I just want to know why you're yelp time says that you're open from 9 AM to 7 PM and I had to drive all the way across town to get here and when I get here your schedule says it doesn't open until 10 AM every day you need to change that wasted my gas and time. Thank you. read more

So helpful and kind. It was almost closing time and I called from about a mile away asking about a highlighting cap which I didn't know the name of and they knew what I was talking about and when I got there in 2 minutes they had it ready at the register for me which was very helpful and very nice of them read more

I used to be obsessed with Sally's Beauty Supply because I was obsessed with doing my nails in college haha - so I always had to have the best nail polish and nail supplies, but for a good price! Sign up to be a member! It's only $5 for a year, you get 10% off of everything, and you get additional coupons. I feel like every Sally's I've been to, staff has been very helpful and educated whether it comes to nail, hair, or makeup products sold at the store or advice. If what you were looking for wasn't there, they will simply order it for you. I don't do my nails as often anymore but I did come today to get a couple of products for my hair, and of course was helped out right away :) read more

I came here twice during posted business hours to this location being closed. Very upsetting. No explanation on why it was closed or wether or not there was any adjusted hours. Calling the business gives no help either. read more

Just went to the store right now , they are supposed to be open until 8. It's 7:40 no one is here with the door locked and the lights on can see the door to the back room open but no one came out and no one will answer the phone. Not a sign on the door nothing lol. Just ratchet, but I will be back because I need sallys lmao read more

Just got fabulous service from the Vallejo store manager Jennifer! She really went over and above the call of duty to help me and all of my sad broken nails. This location is just opening after the lockdown and getting used to customers calling and texting to get their products. She was so professional, efficient, and a delight to work with. I'll be back! read more

This location needs a new staff that actually wants to work an serve the customers. Every time I've came here, they never have what I need. And these are top selling products that they should constantly have and have back ups in their backroom. However they're always magically out of them. Every time they get their shipment it seems to take them 2-4 days to go through... how is it that you're not a very busy location but it literally takes you days to get your shipment open. I know that there's a way to check to see what product you were shipped, because you're supposed to check it off, for inventory purposes. But this girl was just so unwilling to check for this product. Tall slender light skinned female with reddish hair. It's sad to see such unenthusiastic workers working for a fun company. And sad that I have to go spend extra money to get to another Sally's so I can get the product I need. It's awful customer service like this that keeps plummeting your sales. Learn to smile and greet folks! It's simple, and you're getting paid to smile and make the customers experience wonderful, not disappointing. read more

Sally Beauty - The outside parking lot. Have never seen more than one other person in there aside from myself. - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Vallejo, California

I don't come here often but today I came with my nephew to buy a few things and Catherine was such a great help and delivered top notch customer service. My nephew was looking for pomade and I was looking for purple shampoo. It took me about 5 minutes walking around the store to realize I may need help. I called Catherine over and all I said was I was looking for purple shampoo in a gold bottle and she knew exactly what I was talking about. She walked me to the correct aisle and pointed exactly where the product was. Catherine displayed deep knowledge about the product - Blond Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner. She said if I didn't like it I could bring it back. Also, she helped my nephew find his pomade. I guess they only had the gel product on the shelf but again Catherine knew what we were looking for and she went above and beyond by going to the back of the store and getting the pomade. Catherine also shared with us that there was a deal going on for that particular pomade. It was buy one get one free so we bought both. Thanks again Catherine for all the help! read more

I did not have the best experience with Sally's. They had a promotion of "buy 4 shampoos for $20." You can only buy multiples of 4 to receive the promotion. The Vallejo store only had 3 in stock and could not honor the promotion price for the 3 shampoos. Instead, I bought 8 shampoos online with the promotion. I received 3 of the 8 shampoos from my online order. They cancelled the remaining 5 shampoos due to being out of stock. I called to ask the status of my order and was then notified that my order was cancelled but they would send me the rest of my order once the product was in stock. The day after, I checked the website and they had the shampoos in stock. I called to ask them about the status of my order now that the shampoos were in stock. They said they no longer had the 4 for $20 promotion and that I would have to pay the original cost of the product ($8 each). I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being on hold for 40 minutes they said the is supervisor was not available. The customer service was terrible and the representative was neither empathetic or helpful. I do not think this is right. It's a coincidence that my order was cancelled due to being out of stock, yet the next day they had the products again but without the promotion. I do not plan on using their website as their online stock does not seem to accurate. read more

Went in for dye and received absolutely no help. An associate had her car broken into and for some reason the whole staff decided to assist instead of helping the customers in the store. I asked one question and got a rude response while the associate walked away out of the store. read more

I love Sally's, I color my hair quite often. My issue with this store is that the prices are much higher than that are online/at other stores (by about 15%), the aisles are very tight together and the store associates are just kind of, checked out. read more

I dont come here as much since Target moved their front doors. I wonder if they and Payless have lost bizness because of other lazy asses. LOL It is just hard to park around here cuz of Rasputins and radio Shack and the almighty 5 buck chuck clothes store. I like to come in here for unique lil dealies on nail polish, hair serums, eye brow tools, and other lil beauty knick nacks. Shonna is right that sometimes the employees are not so courteous. Other times though, they are right on the mark with friendly assistance. read more

Filled with a bunch of idiots who would rather spend time on their cell phones than help customers, I can't stand going into this store but as a beauty industry professional I often need to. Run in, get your stuff and run out! Don't ask questions because you are probably going to interupt the staff from doing something really important! I only give it 2 stars because they often have the few supplies I can't find anywhere else and I get a discount for being Licensed. For shame Sally's, you have so much to offer. read more

I stopped into Sally's today and was greeted quickly by the assistant manager Angelina. Usually when I go in there I feel a little timid with the other employees but Angelina was quick to ask if I was doing ok which made me feel very comfortable to ask her some of the questions I had. She made some recommendations that would be best suited in what I was trying to accomplish with my hair and also even taking the time to go to the back to get some product for me that wasn't on the floor. Thank you Angelina for a great visit and I hope you are working the next time I come in! read more

I love this Sally's. Staff are amazing and always willing to help you. The store is very well kept and very neat. Their usually always well stocked on everything sometimes their out of some things here and their but nothing really, and if they don't have it in stock the staff will recommend you something similar. They also carry a lot of professional products for your hair. read more

I was greeted as I walked in, and wandered around for a minute or two with my son jumping around like a caffeinated monkey, trying to find what I wanted when she found me. She asked me if I needed help and then directed me to a few different items that I was in search of. I found the service to be very satisfactory, the prices comparable, and the sales gals were both very sweet to my 5 year old that hadn't had a nap and was on the verge of a meltdown. I work in customer service, and it isn't an easy job. I don't know if you've looked around, but America has become abrasive to it's working class, and I know, because it's my class. Vallejo isn't always the most friendly place, but I've always been pleased with the service I've received at this particular location. read more
