** This is a negative star review ** What a horrible place! My friend and I went in here to look at the wigs. The cashier man was following us everywhere. I ended up putting on a wig to see how it would look and he rudely told me not to try it on. I told him okay and put it back where I found it, no biggie. He said we needed a hair cap in order to try it on so my friend and I started to look around for one so we were able to properly try out the products before making a purchase. We finally realized they are provided at the front desk, where the cashier is. We walked up to him and politely ask and the man says "you don't need wigs" and refused to give us a hair net. I was in disbelief, what an ugly, horrible employee. This place is trash. There are so many better beauty stores to spend your money. Please don't spend it here. read more

If there is a zero or no star, I would give this business a zero. The manager Sue Shou is unprofessional, rude and unreasonable. They gave a wig that is different from what is in the floor sample and making me believe that it is correct because I trust them. When I came home, the wig has highlights while the one I tried on the floor is just dark brown with no highlights. I tried to return and was unsuccessful. I've given them a chance to correct the situation and yet they insisted on not doing the right thing. They just lost a customer here and wants to beware other potential clients not to do business with this shop. Bad service=bad business. read more

Went in to find a wig for an upcoming birthday party that had a wig theme. In the back of the store there are dozens and dozens of wigs to choose from in a vast array of styles, lengths and colors. Erika was available to help us navigate all of the options and select five that we could try on. You must buy the $1 wig cap before you try on wigs and you do only get to choose five to try on - which I totally understand. There are too many people who want to just have fun but not buy! My first three wigs I tried on didn't work out so I asked Erika for her opinion and she picked out two others to give a shot. One looked so great, I ended up purchasing it! The wig station is set up so you sit in a salon chair facing a big mirror in front of us which is helpful. Erika placed the wigs on our heads and brushed them out. She was really patient through the process and very helpful. A really cool experience and I definitely recommend it! read more

If I could leave a zero star I would. There's absolutely no customer service. They barely look up from what they are doing to greet you. You walk in and it smells like a cabbage/garlic fart. Awful! There's a big goon that watches every move you make. Perhaps they have a theft problem. I was asking about dye colors and what they tossed wasn't anything like the color of my hair. They gave everything here! The employees were nice, clean environment, and parking right out front.

My daughter & I come in quite often, since she has very long black hair, & likes to change her color often. We also buy many expensive conditioners, products, & all of the other supplies, + make-up, etc., here. We usually spend at least $150-$200- or more, every trip, since they carry so many good products, the staff there is awesome, very knowledgable, & always very helpful! Unfortunately, after we'd spent over a 1/2 hour there, & I needed to use the restroom, (for a very "quick stop"). When I asked the owner, (Sue, I believe), if I could please use the restroom, she actually said, "No, go through parking lot, to the Tire Store, they have very nice restroom"! (Maybe, but I'm NOT their customers)! The man who works there, or is possibly a co-owner, just stood there, like he didn't hear my request, or more likely, he just didn't care. As long-time, Vallejo business owners, we've NEVER refused access to our restrooms to any customer, even if we've had to walk back there, & wait for them, (since our inventory is so much more expensive, customers repair work is in that area, as well, & the bathroom is at the back of the store room). When we got home, I looked for two of the items I'd purchased, & they weren't even in the bag! Luckily they were cheap items, since I'll never do business there again, my money works at all "Beauty Supply Stores"! What a lame way to lose good, long-time customers! read more

The folks bere super patient and helpful as I tried to find a way to go with my Effie Trinket costume. I wanted to respect their five wig try on limit, so I wound up going with my fourth attempt: a short wig with silver hair and blue tips. Since my costume was orange and yellow, they recommended some spray-in dyes that I could use to make the wig yellow. As a result I had the best Effie costume ever. :) read more

I cannot say enough good things about the customer service here. I'm fairly new to wearing wigs and they must have spent an hour putting different styles and colors on me. I've always had thin hair, but a medication I'm on is making it thin out more and more. I have to be on stage for work and all the thickeners on the planet are not helping. I almost cried when I saw myself with long thick hair for the first time in my life. The employees here were so wonderful both with helping me find pieces that looked good on me and showing me how to put them on (like I said, I'm new to this). I brought the wrong size hair and wanted to exchange it for a different size and it's over $50 in hair. Didn't want money back just an exchange. She told me I couldn't because I didn't have my receipt but had my bank statement of the amount that I spent and if you added up all the items, it would have showed her. She hung up on me and then had another employee answer the phone after I told her I will post a review of how unprofessional she was. This is why we as blacks need to get our own establishment and support our own people. I will make sure to never shop there again and make sure none of my family or friends do as well. I will go to oakland where there is a young black lady who has opened a beauty supply store there. No more black dollars at glamour beauty supply. Literally super irritated that I had to come here since my first choice was closed due to the holiday. I went in there to get red cherry eyelashes since not a lot of places sell them and instead of them having what they have out, I'm assuming because they have a lot of people stealing them, they have some set out and you have to ask for them. My daughter went there on 6/17/16 to get hair and she used my debit card she swiped my card it read error so the guy had her do it again and it still said error so he said the machine wasn't working my daughter asked him did it charge my card he said no but the next day when I checked my card I was charged twice so we go there to explain and talk to the owner after waiting a hour while she's on the phone with her Merchant we was asked to come back Monday and she would check her books ok no problem now go back Monday it's a totally different story now they need a hard copy from my bank now Im getting pissed and the guy who was not in the conversation got stuff to say oh I don't understand and so other stuff all I wanted was my money back I had to be inconvenience by not just by waiting until Monday but also I had to go to my bank to get a print out to get my money back read more

I've been going to Glamor Beauty for years and they are terrific!! I get pony tail hairpieces and cosmetics, jewelry and anything else I can find. The prices are reasonable on everything, and they have the friendliest, most helpful people working there. The atmosphere in the store is friendly and everyone is helpful. I swear the black girls who work In there are all BEYOND GORGEOUS With style and curvy bodies . I always wondered what that's about . But yeah , I go in here every other day .
