I found Jessa through Google and Instagram, loved her work, and booked an appointment about a month out and she was absolutely worth the wait. From the consultation to the end result, Jessa was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly intentional. She really took the time to understand my hair history and what I was trying to achieve. My hair before was grown out, uneven, and patchy from past highlights, and she somehow transformed it into a cool-toned, lived-in, low-maintenance look that blended seamlessly and still felt healthy. You can tell she truly knows what she's doing and cares about the integrity of your hair. She never rushed, explained the process, and made the entire experience comfortable and pleasant. I love supporting small businesses, especially when the service is this good and the fact that she's only about 5 minutes away makes it even better. If you've been driving far for your hair or are nervous about trying someone new, Jessa is absolutely worth it. I finally found my hair girl and I couldn't be happier.

As I looked to find another salon, I gladly found this gem! I looked at the website to book and saw there wasn't any availability until next year. When I called Dani, she was able to book me the next day. Thank goodness!! I was so ecstatic that I found this spot. There is a couple of parking spots outside the salon which was very convenient. It is located in the heart of Downtown Vallejo. Inside the salon gave a warm and cozy vibe. When I got there, Dani worked on me right away. The shampoo might've been my favorite part, she really massages your scalp so so good. If I could just go in for that I would!! I asked for a silk press and a trim and she talked with me how much she recommends I trim. She also educated me about my hair and what type of curly products I should be using for my hair. She informed me that the products I currently use, aren't a good idea for my hair type. She gave such great recommendations and great tips! Usually silk presses for my hair take 2.5/3 hours but she took an hour and 40 minutes. She works quickly and the end result was everything I wanted! Definitely coming back here!

Not even remotely close to photos I had shown the stylist. Long story short, they made it right and provided a refund, but needed to find someone who could give me what I was looking for. This is when I found Alchemy Hair Collective, specifically FIONA! I made my appointment with her with ease. She texted prior to my appointment and gave me the opportunity to explain my story and provide photos of where I was and where I wanted to go. She responded immediately, "That is something we can fix." The second I stepped foot into Alchemy I LOVED it. The vibe is warm, fun, and inviting. I liked Fiona the second we met. She was awesome! Is there a better word than awesome? SUPER awesome! She talked to me about what I wanted, she studied my hair, she asked me questions, we looked at photos. Her confidence was reassuring. I felt like I was trusting her with my life. We had great conversation and laughs as she worked away putting all of those foils in my hair. After processing, I had a fantastic shampoo and scalp massage. Hope I didn't snore because it sure was relaxing. Upon returning to her chair and the towel coming off, I knew Fiona had hit a grand slam! When my hair was all dried, I am here to tell you that I had a lump in my throat and had to fight back tears of joy and happiness. I know that means nothing to you who is reading this, but I am not a crier by nature. Hair doesn't move me. Today it did. OUTSTANDING!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Fiona is my girl and you should make her yours too!

I came in for a consultation hoping to get some guidance, but the experience was incredibly disappointing from the start. The owner was not friendly -- in fact, she was noticeably rude and dismissive during our entire conversation. Instead of listening to what I wanted, she constantly talked over me and acted as if I should already understand everything about hair color like a professional stylist. I showed her my inspiration photo on my phone, and instead of politely asking to take a closer look, she snatched it right out of my hand and walked away without a word to view it under different lighting. I found that completely disrespectful. Needless to say, I chose not to book an appointment. The energy was unwelcoming, the attitude was unnecessary, and the entire experience was a major red flag. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
