Please update your signs . There was a sale and the grabbed the items and when I went to pay and they weren't all on sale. The cashier had told us it's mix and match. The whole rack had signs everywhere yet apparently there were little pockets of non sale items. See my pic and guess which one is on sale and which isn't? There was no way to tell. She at first said she would honor the sale sign then changed her mind. I asked her how do I know? She said well i can scan each for you. It's unreasonable, I shouldn't have to ask each item be scanned to check the price is labeled correctly. Just check the tags and make sure you are being charged correctly. read more

On 1/24 my teen son and I came in for hair bleach. We're immediately greeted and offered help. Amanda gave us all we needed and gave perfect advice. Results were exactly what he asked for. Later, when we came back for more supplies (our fault), we got more great advice. SO grateful for the expertise and great customer service. Will definitely be back. Thanks!! read more

Was surprised to see such a average low rating for this location--but it looks like the majority of the negative reviews are 5+ years old and overly hung up on customer service due to the older customer base which is a pity. Been going here since a young kid with my mother, over a decade. I always recommend researching products as the employees are not necessarily trained cosmetologists, but I feel like by 2025 they have VERY reasonable prices, usually beating walmart and target depending on the product--maybe not in comparison to salon depots but if you don't have a license, they carry toners and other products not readily accessible to the public consumer. They have helped me to find a replacement vol developer that would be compatible since they don't carry Redken (my only main complaint lol) and have been pretty nice and helpful throughout several years of colored dying, and bleaching. Usually remember to ask about rewards and phone number points and I still put everything on my mom's long-term rewards account. read more

They move a few doors down last year. The help I got was amazing. Customer service was greats d friendly.

Caroline was so genuinely friendly and helpful!!! I tried coloring my hair with a box from a pharmacy so I went to Sally for products to fix it. So pleased with the quality of customer service and Caroline's professional and pleasant disposition. Would recommend her to anyone who needs guidance choosing great products for hair color and hair care!! Thank you Caroline!! read more

I love this Sally's the women who work here are very knowledgable of the products and can even help you pick out your hair dye or walk you throw how to process it. They made an overwhelmingly new task easy and simply and I have to say I looked and felt amazing after! I come here at least 2-3 times a month and love the brands they have as the quality is great and a great price! They often have deals so it keeps you coming back for more and keeps customer happy! If you need any hair care or body lotions or anything nail or body/hair related then you should definitely shop here and it is totally worth it to get the membership for the year! I went into buy some professional grade hair dye and the women who withers there were helpful and walked me through step by step how to color my hair. Thanks to them I was able to color my hair and it looked great. I'm super happy with their help and loves the dye and toner I bought with them. read more

Horrible customer service. Came in today with my mom to purchase some hair stuff. No one came over to help us, we got a half assed hello, and were completely forgotten. We went up to the check out and were joking around with one another, the girl up front barely looked at us. Her tagged said she was an assistant manager, that's just laughable, she finally looked at us "are you ready?". Ummm yes that's why our product is in front of you and we are standing here. She was clearly unhappy to be helping us and clearly unhappy to be working there. As someone who has been in retail management, maybe this job isn't for her. I'm not saying we needed her to kiss our butts but a nice smile or "did you find what you're looking for?" Would have sufficed. Maybe she grabbed a random name tag, I don't know why she'd be assistant manager... read more

don't recommend I used to work here actually quit few days ago. management was a pain towards my first time working for Sally's. priority seemed to be sales and preventing theft, it's not like you expect on the other side of the counter. the downside of my experience was my manager julie dix I went to my hr and the corporate manager to display issues while working there and no help or no one cared . Customers with no proper background of hair products are more likely to spend $$$ and selling over priced product, then to save and get an option to discount without getting a credit card. Here at Sally's noones a trained professional we get paid to know nothing basically so I got another job and I'm happy here theres more details and an update coming soon!! read more

The location moved closer to Toys R Us. The new location is okay and so are the employees. When I went on Monday (1/16/17), I was created, but the employees have no passion. Like you know they don't want to be at work and suck at faking it. They greeted everyone, but offered no help to the customers. An elder lady walked in asking got something and one of the girls said "We don't have that". Instead of offering an alternative or saying when the product would become available, she just left the elderly lady in silence. These girls just didn't make great first impressions. The store is clean though. Just wish it was bigger, but I wish that about every Sallys I go to. read more

I bought 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners yesterday. The sale is buy 1 get 1 for 50% off on the liter size. Today I take the 2 conditioners back since I found I already have 2 in the back of the closet I forgot about. She refunds me the 50% price on both the shampoo and conditioner so I am still charged for both the shampoos at full price I tell her it is incorrect to only refund me the 50% off items and point out the sale, She says that is how the register does it and there is nothing she can do about it. If it's buy 1 and get 1 for 50% off then why am I charged for 2 of the same products at full price? I have to make another trip to bring back my 2 shampoos, get another refund and repurchase the same 2 shampoos. Ridiculous. No one apologized for the inconvenience or said they were sorry I had to make a second trip. Terrible customer service. I would suggest skipping this location. read more

I came in a couple minutes before close and was greeted with a warm welcome. I came in to buy some individual lashes to fill in for my current eyelash extensions. The two staff members spoke to me in a friendly manner and helped me get the biggest bang for my buck. They had a great selection of salon products, and greater deals if you're a Sally's card holder. In other news, I am now a Sally's card holder lol read more

Wow what great customer service they have here. Fist let me start by telling you I came here looking for white hair gel for a Halloween costume. I went to the new Ulta in the same shopping center first , what a mistake. The girls working at ULTA had there cell phones shoved so far up there butts that they couldn't walk straight. I asked one for hair gel and she pointed if we have any its over there. How about walking your fat ass over and showing me. Well after 10 min of looking ,8 people working I mean standing around talking to each other, no one came to assist I left. Well I was greeted with a pleasant smile and was quickly asked if I needed help finding anything at Sallys. I told her what I was looking for and she suggested a color spray. Well they had a deal buy 2 get 1 free but only had 2 the color I needed. She said just grab another color and come back in a week to exchange it no questions asked. I did come back a week later and was pleased with the transaction. I Will Be Coming back here for sure. read more

To the girl with highlights, harsh brows & cakey makeup who works on sundays- if you're going to be miserable & not do your job then find another one. I asked this girl for help & she was rude & not approachable. when i caught them whispering(probably talking shit) the guy gave me a fake ass smile, hinting to her coworker that i'm walking up so stop talking. Made an order in store for in store pick up because the online price was cheaper than the in store price. I was really not happy that the attendant (who had no one else to attend to) did not start my order right away - said she would have to wait for the order to come in- about 30 min she said. On top of that, after I came back in 1.5 hr, she said that my order had been cancelled as they didn't have what I wanted in store... no one even contacted me of this despite me getting text messages that they had received my online order!! why wouldn't the online store know that the Escondido store didn't have the item in stock as it had already discluded the Oceanside store as they said the product was not available?? And, on top of that, why wouldn't they just keep the order and let me know when the item came in instead of just plain cancelling it?? So, instead of getting what I wanted to get and try out for the first time, I was quite upset and frustrated. I decided that I wouldn't even bother purchasing the item from Sally's. Thus, due to poor online manamgent as well as communication, I as a relatively new customer will probably not be a future customer of Sally's. read more

The employees in this store are so rude. You can't open anything to see if it's the right thing you're trying to buy. According to them you have to buy it and then bring it back and exchange it if you don't like it. They don't have any testers so that you can see what anything looks like. But the thing that got me the most is they are the rudest people I've ever dealt with. I walked out and went over to Supercuts to buy the product. I will not go there again. Sally needs to fire the people that work in her store and hire people that know how to work with customers. read more

This is a great place if you need to get bobby pins or nail polish. It's not a professional beauty supply so you won't be able to purchase legit professional products only knock off versions which are not the same! Please, whatever you do, do NOT ask the employees for color or chemical recommendations. I can not count how many times I have overheard them giving completely inaccurate information. They are not professional cosmetologists and have absolutely no clue how to answer questions about professional hair care. read more

This store seems to have all the items I go looking for, but the staff, oh the staff. I thought that Sally's usually hired people knowledgable about beauty supplies so they could help you find what you need. Not at this store. I ask for a protein filler and they look at me like a deer in the headlights. When they finally figure out what I am talking about, they don't walk their lazy asses the 10 feet down an aisle to show me. They point and tell me "it's over there by the hair color. It took me several minutes to find their 5 inch display of filler among dozens of color boxes. Please get some people who are actually interested in your store. I'll look elsewhere for what I need! read more

It was easier to have street credibility going to Sally's when I use to have a lush Afro. Gone are those days but I go to this Sally's because the have what I need for a close razorless shave. Now at this location everyone is friendly and knowledgeable so I have no issues. They carry what I need, but it comes at a premium. In parts of town that have a higher African American population I can get what I need from a target or a Walmart for half the cost. I go here out if convenience and I pay for that convenience. read more

This beauty supply shop lacks quality products and the prices are still pretty steep. Salons have a better selection of hair products, but I can't complain about the variety of beauty supplies that Sally's has. The shop has every little product for grooming imaginable. I would recommend getting appliances here because the shop has high quality brands and it is way cheaper to buy them here, rather than getting one at a salon, but I'm disappointed Sally's doesn't carry Pureology -- my favorite shampoo and conditioner -- because that stuff is hard to come by. Also, some simple products here, like nail polish remover are not cheap. For items like those I go to Save-on or (shudder) Wal-mart. read more

This place can't get any better! They have special deals from time to time that can give you pretty amazing free stuff. I renewed my Sally's discount card during the month of my birthday and I got a free full sized Ion brand shampoo. The girls here are very helpful and know a lot about the products they sell. This is a great place to get great indoor tanning lotions that work just as good as the expensive stuff they try and sell you at the salon. The sally's card is totally worth it. Yes you have to pay $5 for it, but you instantly get a $5 coupon when you sign up. read more

they told me today they aren't accepting returns. I'm not upset with that, I'm upset about the fact that I bought some stuff there today and no staff member was informing customers about this new policy, and no one mentioned it to me when I was trying to return some dye I bought on December 10th. It's incredibly frustrating that I'm out of money now because they don't bother to tell anyone about this. read more

I came in today to grab the GVP version of the Chi Silk Infusion hair serum. I never visited this location before but I received wonderful service from Grace, Tanya and Beatrice. I was accosted by some woman came in the store and was rushed to leave. There were 3 beauty consultants that asked if I wanted help, when I finally asked the 3rd one a question she answered it as she was walking away. She asked to see an Id to ensure I was a professional because it shows that on my account. I have never been asked that at a Sally's because it is not exclusive to professionals. I forgot my ID but luckily had my passport. I then produced a $100 which they said they didn't have change for although I don't believe they don't close till 9 and it's now 6:25 but it was about 6:00 when I was purchasing. How do you not have change 3 Hours prior to closing? They were extremely snippy and clearly gossiping. If I had my salon centric card on me I would've avoided this altogether. Thankfully I don't live here and will never return. If I could've given 0 stars I would've. read more

Worst customer service. Both attendants were sitting down at each register and when several customers asked for a specific item, they would simply point to it as opposed to getting up and walking over to help them find it. The specific item that I came in to purchase was not available, when I asked if she could check if it was available at a nearby location, she said that I could call and find out. She did not offer to call, or to write down the style number. Both employees that were there at the time were having a conversation the whole time and seemed to be bothered when customers asked for help. This is only a few miles away from me but i would prefer to drive 20+ minutes to a different location. BAD customer service, employees did the bare minimum to ring up customers. I visited this store just a few minutes ago, Tuesday April 24th at about 8:00 PM. *Management, I would strongly suggest training your employees, your business depends on the quality of their service. read more

Omg! Please no one ever waste your time at this store. I've been here for over an hour. It was a simple exchange and the girl here literally stayed on the phone with her manager for 35 minutes after 20 minutes of being on the phone with customer service to simply take their useless straightener back and give me a gift card. It took her a total of 70 minutes to do this simple transaction then gives me a gift card without a receipt attached to it. I ask her for a receipt. She says it doesn't come with one and then gives me attitude on top of all of it. There all Sally stores up and down near this one. Don't go to this one if you don't want to waste an hour for a 15 minute transaction. read more

We came in to buy some hair dye for a family event in which we were all dying our hair to support my niece. We had a code for 20% off that I had just been texted and the girl said it had expired a week ago. Ok, that's odd....why would I be texted an expired code? Even so, I showed her the text I had just gotten, and said that even though her computer is saying it's expired, it should still be honored, should it not? She just told me to call customer service for a complaint. It was pretty much bs. read more

The girls are very knowledgeable and sweet. My go to store for all beauty related product.

I needed to buy some wax to do depilation at home, and I was just in the area, so I stopped at this Sally. I have been other times and always to get something as nail polish or wax, as I know what I want and just want to use either their coupons, discounts, etc. As others have mentioned, do not try to get some advice about hair coloring, for example, as looks like the ladies working there are not cosmetologists and you can get more confused. So, it is still a ok place to get your beauty stuff if you don't have any other close, but do your research first and no not expect tips from pros. read more

I have no issues with the stuff they sell there, but the associates are so disrespectful. I don't even know how they haven't been fired, companies shouldn't have rude associates. I am a manager at a big retail company, so I know how annoying it can be. I also know that as an associate one has to put their attitude on the side. Customers aren't always right, but just because associate is having a terrible day that doesn't give them a right to treat others badly. I was seriously yelled at for no reason!
