This is by far my all time favorite beauty store!!! I forgot about the charcoal bar, it's the best for oily skin!!! If you or someone has issues with oily skin, it's a game changer! I would recommend using it morning and night for bad breakouts. My friend got me a cute gift set that was wrapped in a silk scarf! It's a super cute idea. I haven't gotten a chance to try the glory conditioner, it's thick as hell and can't wait! I might try it with my braids. The fuel power I haven't tried either. For X-mas I got a cute bath bomb that stills smells like the day I got it. I'm saving it lol. Then got some matching shower gel. I truly love this place. It seems like the one in Fashion Valley is more expensive. It's also the biggest one in North County. Before I get into my review, I want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Cat for her impeccable vibes, phenomenal customer service, and for simply being such a kind, caring, and passionate human. I already LOVE Lush because of what the company stands for, but after today's experience, I am head-over-heels IN LOVE!! I'd popped in with the intention of quickly grabbing a restock of my favorite products and being on my merry way. What I thought would be a quick in and out moment ended up being an incredibly wholesome experience!! Cat introduced me to some new products and went above and beyond, explaining the benefits all while treating me to samples of the products. She first showed me the "After" massage bar, insighting me on its anti-inflammatory properties, all the while massaging it into my arm. She mentioned how it has witch hazel, magnesium, and arnica which can help support the relief of menstrual cramps. HOW COOL!! I loved the smell and feel of it and it was a truly a sensational experience trying it on! Next up, we tried the skin soothing porridge on my other arm, after I'd mentioned I had a months-old eczema patch that I'd been wanting to find relief for. The cooling sensation was SO DELIGHTFUL and so rehydrating!! This was an absolute must-buy for me and I can't WAIT to incorporate it into my daily skincare routine. I also loved the facial massage with the sleepy face cleansing balm. I could've fallen asleep because of how comfortable I was! Downgrade...UGLY looking soaps this season make Lush irrelevant for gift giving. When Lush boasts that they sell "Handmade" products they failed to mention that their soaps were apparently handmade by kindergarteners. These sloppy soaps not only looked terrible they were all cracked like old play-doh. Wait, maybe they're selling play-doh art now. See pictures and judge for yourself. - Place is always empty unless it's Christmas time. - Christmas time is a nightmare. It's not the fact that they limit people inside, it's a very small shop, it's the fact they have more employees working inside than actual customers. There were like 8 employees and none of them were very helpful. - Speaking of employees, only the bouncer guarding the store entrance was friendly. - Hippo shaped bath bombs? Yeah that's going to go over well. - Anti-government corporate sticker on their window. - This place used to offer hand cut (on the spot) speciality soaps for you. This assured that the expensive soaps you purchased haven't been fondled and sniffed by thousands of other people. The one who approached me, Tessa, was very accomodating and friendly, giving me a chance to set down a box I was holding from a previous store visit and asking if I was looking for anything specifically. I picked up one of the pamphlets they handed out for things they were fighting for, and she explained perfectly what the company did to help people in need. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cat and the Lush store! The BEST customer service I have ever had! Cat was hands down so incredible! My daughter and I went in and Cat went above and beyond for my daughter and myself. She showed my daughter all the different kinds of soaps, let her test them all and showed her bath bombs that she got to play with. It's not hard to fall in love with Lush! This place has lots of smell good stuff for just about any need. AND it is natural...not like that over the top, over perfumed, over dyed competitor in the mall (you can probably figure out the business I'm talking about). Each time I visit the store I like to try something different. I first picked up gold dusted bath bombs for an anniversary trip, (when I type bombs is the NSA following my Yelp reviews)? These bath bombs are colorful and amazing and great for anytime! My favorite products to date have been the sugar lip scrubs and the toothy tabs - great for on the go, soft lips and fresh breath! On my recent visit, I was seeking a new sense of freshness...via deodorant powder. I'm not a big fan of big brand deodorants, I wanted something more natural that does the trick and smells good too. Today, I picked up the "Guv'ner". This is some serious stuff...made of absorbent charcoal! I've been using it for a week and it's really effective and if you wear a perfume, it will not over power it! Since I love the smell of vanilla, I picked up "Vanilla Puff" a dusting powder that you can wear instead of a perfume if you wish. Molly made my grandmother's day today with her wonderful customer service! My grandma is visiting from Taiwan for a few weeks and wanted to buy a gift for a soap-making friend back home. We stopped by Lush because I've always had a great experience in their stores, whether it be browsing or shopping for their fresh, handmade variety of products. My grandma settled on purchasing a variety of soaps, which are prominently displayed in their colorful glory in one of the store windows. Molly assisted us with helpful suggestions, explanations of each soap's ingredients and creative process, and provided us with both attentive service and time to think. When my grandma made her selections, Molly hand-cut the soap pieces and was so very patient and kind when my grandma requested different cross-sections or sizes of each type. She is responsible for the absolutely beautiful and neatly assembled gift-set of 10 soaps we purchased! My grandma told me she felt like a total V.I.P today. If I could give my customer experience tonight at this Lush location a zero star rating, I would. As a longtime customer, I was shocked when my daughter requested a sample and she was refused because she had 'tried the product before'. The female employee asked her the question and took her aside for 5 minutes grilling her about her skincare needs, then refused to give her a sample of a $10 product. I placed the items that I had for purchase down and immediately walked out. There is an exceptional employee there, if I see him in the store I will re-post with his name. This store sometimes has a lot of customers, and sometimes only a couple. Customer service is seriously lacking towards me though. Every time I try to shop, nobody ever greets me or asks if I need help. I expect at least a "hey, I'll be right with ya after I help them ok?" or something. If an employee ever actually looked up at me to make eye contact, I'd happily say 'hi' first. This shop is small; one time I navigated around an employee grabbing something to show another customer, and she HAD to notice me hovering. On my most recent visit, I was curious about the pretty bath bombs, but never got to ask my questions. After browsing the store, I can say that finding recipes online for natural soaps, face masks, bath salts etc. instead of coming here is actually easy. P.S.- Maybe it's just me.
