If you have seen products at the spa on which you don't want to pay a huge mark up, check here. The store is well organized, the sales clerks were helpful. I came here to pick up an online order. It was ready on time, but I thought the item I received didn't look like what I had ordered. I even asked about it but was told it was correct, so I thought perhaps the packaging had changed. After, I took a quick look around the store to see what other items they had and in the process found the correct item. I showed the gal at the register my receipt which also had a photo of the item I had ordered vs what I received and asked if I could just swap them since they were the same price. I thought it'd be a quick transaction. Instead, I was told that neither a return, swap nor exchange could be done without the manager, who was on break... I had to get to work but was repeatedly assured that the manager was just a minute away ... about 40 minutes later, the manager came and before processing the exchange, she scolded me because I came during her break and also scolded me because her staff member was new and not yet trained to address this issue. The scolding vs apology for the mistake and long wait was a bit off-putting on top of everything else. All that aside, the store was clean, well-stocked, organized, prices are good and the gal helping me was very kind despite the situation, but I do wish things could have been resolved faster and I certainly did not appreciate being scolded for something that was not my fault. read more

Horrible customer service and experience! The Indian person who works here is horrible. She was super rude to me and my kids the first time we went here. The second time I interacted with her was to return some items. She damaged the unopened box of part of my return and held it up to the light to see how much was left (she didn't believe me that it was unused!). She then told me she would make a "one time exception" to return another item that I used once. She said she does what she wants and changes the return policy herself. Obviously she's mental, the return policy is printed on the receipt and says Sally will gladly return items. She's a nasty person to the core. Sally Beauty Supply consistently carries everything you need, but if you're like me and don't really know what you're doing then you really need a great staff who can help you. This Sally is terrific- easy parking in front, lots of great products (from shampoo, to color, to those irresistible single use conditioner packets), AND a great staff. I arrived here on my way home from a horrific Groupon highlights disaster- literally greenish white highlights. I didn't feel like going to a salon for a color fix (where everyone would stand around, gawk at my bad color and discuss how "you get what you pay for" before charging me $200 to fix my $49 highlights). The salesperson here talked me through what I could use and EXACTLY how to do it- and it cane out great. I will shop here again. And again. And remember, if you need detailed help ask for it. Beauty supply stores sell to a lot of stylists, they're not always going to assume you don't know what you're doing. I tell them I don't know and need specific directions (then I text what they say to myself so I don't forget when I get home!). Like "I want to cover these white green highlights with a light brown, but not color my whole head in one color. And my hair gets brassy easily ". And if they suggest something and it's not what you want, be clear "actually, I don't want it too red- can you help me find something really neutral ". This store in Bellevue has no clue what they are doing or advising especially one of the employee who is Indian. I called to ask for Ardel Red/Gold color corrector plus which comes in a purple packet. She assured me they have it. Went in and didn't have. Told me I was having a bad day and walked away. Before walking away she told me the other packet she was talking about is the same product. She has no idea what the hell she was talking about. My hair is dyed blonde but after her advise my roots are now a gingery brown which I have been trying to stay away from. Stay away from this Sally in crossroads, Bellevue. Lack of customer service. Lady at the register with pink hair closed the doors with 5 minutes left. If they say they close at 7 and close their doors on a customer at 6:55 that's not good customer service. I could see if I'm just loitering in the store past closing hours but I knew exactly what I needed and could of been out before 7pm. The lady wouldn't even come to the door or anything just "shoo'd" me away. This is the 3rd time they have done this . Pretty frustrating smh read more

I have had an interesting array of experiences at this location. Every once in a while I grow a wild hair and want to take my dark hair to light, and I just can't justify paying someone to potentially screw up my hair. Because, let's face it, I'm just indecisive if I want to stick to my natural roots and be dirty blonde or be the darker me and have dark hair. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience today because before it's just been down right terrible in here. I came in and a really nice girl named Paige greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything. I told her what I wanted to do and she was quick to assist! She knew exactly where everything was, showed and recommended the products she felt would be best for me, and I was in and out in just a matter of moments. I was impressed at her level of customer service and product knowledge. While she was helping me, she was also attending to another lady who was shopping for nail polishes and what not. We both had quiet a few questions and she was prompt to respond and knowledgable about what she had to say. She multi-tasked with us and answering the phone. She was always quick to be able to respond and even on the phone went above and beyond to let customers know what they had or didn't have and knew exactly where they were in the store to check. If she isn't a manager in this store, she should be! She should be running the place! I was amazed to see that she was the only one working and discovered as a multi-colored hair girl came waltzing in with her bf and coffee that she was late to work and didn't seem to pay any mind to the fact that Paige was helping multiple customers. My only dislike was the lack of help, that girl works her butt off! Get her some reliable associates! read more

Came in before I had to go to work to pick up some items and honestly I'll never come back to this location. The workers don't acknowledge you even if you make eye contact. They had scowls on their faces whenever you tried to ask for help. When I went to check out the lady with light/medium brown hair wouldn't look at me and instead just talked to her coworker. She never smiled or made eye contact. She almost didn't even give me my receipt/put my items in a bag. Despite all of it I smiled and told her to have a good day to which she just turned around. I was in there for barely 6 min. I work in retail as well but at a salon and I know it can be hard to work all day but customer service is #1. I can deal with people not having a good day but you cant let it interfere with basic work tasks. Sally's stares are always hit or miss, I've only found that the Burien location has hired polite and kind workers. I will not return to this bellevue location. read more

I wanted to take the time to post a more current review because of the great customer service experience I had today at this Sally's location. Over the last year, we all know how hard it has been to get our favorite products both in store and online, and I have been especially frustrated because the brand of hair color I had used for 4 years was discontinued, and they had unique shades, so I had to figure out which colors in other brands would work. I bought several shades online and in store (my last review), but after figuring out what worked, came in to return what I hadn't even opened, and a younger, obviously newer employee told me 4 different tubes of color weren't in the system so she wouldn't even give me store credit. I had to call the main Sally's customer service recently and discussed this issue with them, and they told me to bring them back to the store for credit, and if they didn't want to give me store credit, to instruct the salesperson to call them. Well tonight I came in, and walked up to the counter, briefly explained what had happened, and this salesperson was so awesome, she said well this other person obviously didn't know what she was doing. I picked out the exchange items I needed and she took care of it in a snap! I forgot to catch her name, but she's the red-headed middle aged, bright smiling salesperson, if anyone else had similar issues like I did. I created an account just to leave a review for this store because the associate here was so unbelievably unprofessional. I've been shopping here for years. Always loved Aiden and the nice gay man with the beard and ever changing hair. However the silver haired larger woman who I believe is their store manager is such a witch. I went in for some hair gel and while I didn't need help, I witnessed her interactions with two customers who did. The first customer asked a question and before she was even done speaking this woman was huffingly telling her where it was in the most condescending "you're wasting my time" tone. The second customer was looking for a specific hair spray and instead of helping got the same treatment as the last. The customer then asked again if she could get help finding the specific brand to which the woman cut her off and repeated that it was "in the back of the store" and then when the customer turned around she rolled her eyes and made faces behind her back. Completely unprofessional, completely unwarranted, and completely rude. She should not be working in retail (I do, and I would be on any of my associates asses if they ever acted like that with customers). I hope she gets that stick pulled out of her ass and kicked out the door with it. What a witch. read more

We came here looking for a lot of help in what products we needed to color hair at home successfully. I don't write many reviews at all, but wanted to warn others about shopping at this Bellevue location. When you walk into a store perfectly happy and leave frustrated, offended and knowing that you'll never come back, the company should know why. I visited and actually signed up for their membership club recently at their Kirkland location and the girl there was much friendlier and helpful than the two employees I encountered here. The first girl that helped me was fine. She messed up my simple transaction at the register and didn't apply the coupon I got for signing up for their club even when I told her beforehand about it. She just simply forgot. I've worked customer service jobs and understand that mistakes happen and know how stressful it can be at times so I always try to be patient. She didn't know how to fix the transaction so she called another girl. I'm only assuming she was a lead or supervisor since she called her for help. I didn't get any names unfortunately, but this occurred just last night. This girl who came over to supposedly help out, made me feel like it was such a hassle to correct this transaction that was their mistake to begin with. She kept "sighing" and talking to me with a bitchy attitude. She even suggested that I use my coupon at my next visit and looked at me with disbelief when I told her that I probably wouldn't make it back before it expired. I don't shop here often at all and am busy with two kids, but why should I even need to explain myself? It took probably 25 minutes to complete this simple transaction and she had the nerve to remind me to tell them about coupons beforehand. This is a nice little beauty supply shop right by the Crossroads mall (near Michael's). It doesn't have a HUGE selection, but it does carry the basics for what you'd expect at a SBS. I just peeked my head in when my husband was doing his second stop at GameStop a few shops over, and the salespeople were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. For pretty much everyone who stepped in they immediately asked if they could help the customer find a product and weren't pushy at all to make the customer purchase the items.
