Hidden little gem, Tucked away in a plaza ! Pizza was very good !! Delivered on time and still hot! Cheesesteak was tasty as well! Almost like home up north !! We are originally from Philly and have been living in Alabama for years now. We came to Florida to visit family and were just looking for a local pizza place for dinner. When I walked in I was thrown back to Philly when the smells hit me. This place is amazing and the pizza is what we have been missing since we moved south! I went in and ordered a medium cheese pizza to go. I was impressed to see the girl clean every time a customer left. Not just the table they ate at, but anything that could be touched by someone else. It was nice to see they care The girl that took my order was pleasant. One guy in the back said hello when he came out of the kitchen. They do offer to eat in, a few tables out front. Then they also have 2 tables out front on the sidewalk. Typical neighborhood pizza place. As far as my food goes.........$9.99 was fair for a medium cheese pie. The dough was great. Perfectly cooked. Let me first say, before I eat the pizza I have to sprinkle with oregano, light red pepper flakes, and add some pepper. With that said...............the sauce was pretty good. Wasn't paste-like so many others. However, the cheese they use tasted funny. I believe it wasn't 100% mozzarella. It had NO stretch to it. The pizza was piping hot when I ate it. The cheese didn't stretch in strands................................................ It just broke off, which leads me to believe it had lots of provolone in it. Just moved to stuart during covid 19 pandemic Ordered for the second time great food also decent gravy for Italian food But, the second time I ordered I was in my back Yard and I didn't hear knock . The delivery driver walked around back instead of calling.We informed the delivery driver that we have just been test for covid19. You called 2 hrs later to complain and when I called back you stated you follow protocol that's a joke we didn't have to let driver know so you could actual follow proper procedures but you just want to blame everyone else except yourself. Lived in the area now about 5 years and this has been a little hidden gem in this area. Every time we order the order is exact. (she's a picky eater and has modifications on every order) Personally we love the Subs/grinders. Meatball and chicken parm is amazing. OMG!!! We found Stuart's best known secret at Salerno's pizza. We ordered linguini with white clam sauce and a lasagna dinner. It came with 2 salads and. Garlic rolls. Covered with real garlic pieces. The servings were huge. We shared the linguini and couldn't finish it . So I put it in the freezer. Lasagna tomorrow night.. They packaged everything to perfection. Foil to keep this hot AND doubled the bags so the oil wasn't all over the place. The delivery guy was a sweetheart. Great job from Salerno Pizza. It is our no 1 place for Italian food from now on. The pizza was just how we like it, thin crust and delicious. The baked ziti was to die for! It came with garlic knots and both specials came with drinks. It took 25 calls and 30 mins for them to finally answer and get our order. They told us the order would take 30 mins at 6:25pm. We show up 30 minutes later to get the pizza and they said they haven't started it yet so it'll be another 30 minutes. After going back a second time the order was wrong. Rude staff, mediocre pizza. Save your money and go to Supreme pizza down the street. (They're more than accommodating for late orders, and their pizza is better quality) We walked in at 8:30, 30 minutes before they close and asked for a cheese pizza. The staff was very bent out of shape about it, saying "We close in 10 minutes." They don't. They close at 9, as listed on their website and the front door of the business. After we order our pizza, the man working there start complaining under his breath "Why would you wait until 8:30?!" and complaining to his coworkers. Maybe you shouldn't be open until 9 if you don't want business that late. It was really just the epitome of pure laziness. I will never buy pizza here again, the rude remarks just aren't worth an average pizza. Lazy, just lazy. UPDATE- Later this night after I wrote this review, I got really ill and threw up everywhere. Got food from here while we were vacationing in Stuart. We ordered a pizza with meatballs, a calzone, and boneless wings. The calzone was very good, the pizza was average and the wings were average. The staff was friendly. It was pretty easy to find, it is in a shopping center. I would say it is the average pizza you can find in Stuart, we have been vacationing here for a few years and haven't found a pizza that is truly like a pizza from NY! This place was good. I just ordered fried ravioli and a salad, but it came fast. They said 45 minutes on the phone, but the order was there in about 30. The sauce that comes with the fried ravioli was good and makes me want to go back there to try a pasta dish. The salad was a chicken cutlet salad and it was real good. Lots of extra toppings and a fair amount of chicken. Only one problem... When you are sending an order to a HOTEL, SELD UTENSILS!!!!!!! Update: I had to drop the review down to a 3. I called back the next night to try out some other pasta dishes and was told that they don't deliver here. I told her that they were here 24 hours ago, but apparently, that did not matter. So, in this area of Florida there are a ton of retired New Yorkers. I think they get bored with the Sunshine and Beaches and end up opening pizzia joints to pass the time. Every time I go down to visit my dad, I have to swing into Slareno and get the Meatball Sub. Holy shit, this thing is perfect. Every new city I move to (Austin included) I am always on the lookout for a meatball sub that is similar to the one found at Salerno. I am telling you, it doesn't exist. Big crusty bread, large meatballs that don't fall apart, great sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. No place I have ever been to gets all of the components right. Sure, they may get one or two out of the four... but that just isn't enough. Every time I try a new meatball sub, my mind immediately wanders to Salreno... and honestly, nothing ever stacks up.
