I Usually do not have a problem with this location but tonight(10/28/20) whoever is running the show needs to step their shit up! First I wait about 15 mins in the drive thru for three gyros. When I get to the window I was handed 2 gyros in a tray and one separate gyro on top. The gyro on top wasn't even wrapped it was completely open. I asked the young lady if she can have someone wrap my gyro and she just rolled her eyes and took it to the cook so that it can be wrapped closed! When I get home all three gyros were fucking cold. The pita bread stale and dry as a bitch the lamb dry and hard and dark! Only one out of the three gyros was eaten and that's only because the person who ate it didn't have nothing but breakfast in his stomach since 9am! The food was substantially marked up--as with any fast food establishment--however, spending over $25 on deep fried battered "seafood" with an inch of breading on all sides is ridiculous. I am so sick of having problems every time I go through the drive thru here. Last couple of times my order was wrong after waiting in line for a very long time. They are stingy on sauces and forget special requests like raw onions all together. The staff is unbelievably miserable. They act like you are an inconvenience or something. Her eyes were huge she was slurring her words and seemed under the influence of something. She advised me corporate makes the prices and they just go by it. She kept arguing about the amount per piece of fish like she did not know math very well, as if I were in the wrong. I finally asked her to adjust it as manager and she rudely said there is nothing she could do slammed the register and stormed off. You know the food is already expensive here, they nickel and dime you for everything and its the point. You don't screw customers and do what you can to make them happy so they return. Now you didn't get paid for a piece of fish that went to waste and lost a regular customer over poor service. There are plenty of other places that will treat customers better. First time ever going here, and very disappointed with the food. I got a number 6, which is a burger and I asked one of the workers as I was in the drive through if she can add cheese to my burger. She then responded with "theres cheese on the burger" as she was laughing with one of her friends as we were trying to order. Once I got my burger, my burger WAS NOT cooked all the way, there was old brown lettuce on it, NO CHEESE (even though I asked and she said there was cheese on it) my fries were so soggy a 3 week old baby would be able to eat them, and my tea taste like I was drinking straight sugar. Excellent grilled fish! You get two filets on the combo meal and although it comes with fries you can substitute a side salad at no extra charge. The spring mix salad is large for a side salad and it came with onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and feta cheese. A deal you can't beat anywhere! read more

I drive by this location all the time and have avoided coming here because of all the poor reviews. I ordered a chicken sandwich and was surprised how good the chicken was. This is the type of sandwich I would expect to pay $12 for at a sit down style restaurant. I got the sandwich meal for less than $8. I can't speak for the seafood but the chicken sandwich was definitely higher quality than I would expect from a fast food restaurant. The service wasn't corporate by any means. I could see getting into a fight with these girls working here if you're the type of person that fights with workers at fast food restaurants. I'm from Michigan so I'm new to the Brandon area. Only been here about 9 months now and I can say there are a lot of different options here that we don't have up North. My second time at Salem's today (first time was about a week ago) and as far as the food goes I have no complaints (Tried original gyro and shrimp bowl)...the problem with Salem's is the people who work there. They seem disinterested, irritated and annoyed to say the least. I thought when I visited the first time maybe it was a bad day (we all have those). But today it was more of what I experienced the first time. I called and placed my order ahead of time and when I arrived I walked in, no one was in line so I went up to the counter and no one even attempted to acknowledge me. The girl at the front just walked off to go socialize while I was standing there. Don't know who the girl was (because they don't even wear name tags which I think is very strange)...so I stood there for almost 5 minutes until I just decided to say outloud "hey I have a pickup order" the same girl that walked off initially in the beginning came back, rung me up, set my stuff up on the counter and walked off again without saying a word. ...now maybe its just me but I work in customer service and this is just not acceptable. The demographic is all young kids from late teens and early 20's I presume, maybe that's the reason for the poor customer service (lack of work/customer service experience and dealing with customers I guess)...anywho, I rarely write reviews but I hope management/owners see these reviews because I think they should know whats really going on. This review is not to spit venom, but to help management make better choices when hiring people. 3 stars...would've been 5 stars if it were not for the horrible experience. Salems Gyros have always been popular in the Bay Area. They recently opened a new location in Brandon and made it less of a hassle for people to get to. The food here is pretty good. Customer service is great! Their associate Kailyn is very friendly, helpful and helped me figure out what the best choice to make was. It's a sad day because I eat here weekly. The customer service this particular day was subpar. The ladies at the front counter lacked customer service etiquette- they acted as if a pain to take our order. Upon receiving the order, I noticed a short blonde hair in my food. I took it to the counter and the ladies reacted as if they were unaware of what to do. Another lady came from the back took the tray and yelled to the cook to remake the order. I asked if the cooks were wearing hair nets. After not receiving a response, the ladies proceeded to laugh and joke about the hair being in the food with the cook.
